Long time no chat on the boards except for Vegeta thanks to the power of Instant Messaging, lol.
Cheesh, 2 questions for ya.
How long ago did you get the Lupin figures & where'd you get them from?
Second, those cool bases, where from too?
I've been buying a ton of stuff & I'm getting a digital cam. this weekend so I can take pics of my colllection.
DBZ mini figures, ML, DC Direct, Akira mini's & some rndom Anime stuff.
Oh, as for Inu Yasha, I prefer the open mouth, closed mouth looks depressed.

wow that demon inuyasha looks really good...too bad i cant pick it up though...awesome pics dino and chesh...i went to the toy vendor show thing n i was able to find the bome tiger devil chick for only 15 CDN...which is 11.50 USD....which i was pretty happy with...too bad they didnt have the 3rd bome fig which was jus released...i'll pick that up at the comic store for a bit more at the end of this week hopefully

nice pics guys, and i opend dpool last nite, really nice figure, the only problem i have, is with the clear stand, it doesnt stay in the positsion you leave it in, its really loose, and always "droops" forward until the fig touches the bottom, but some clear tape on the hinges works fine, and cant be seen, so its all good. i got him doing a mid air kick toward predator :)

Mr mark: I got the Lupin mini figs like a couple weeks ago, grabbed all 4 in one shot, need a Zenigata still...bought them at a comic shop for like 5.99 each

I got the shelf thing from a 99 cent store lol...supposed to be for spices andwhatnot....

Chubs, for some reason they weren't....I saw the two packs a while ago but since they didn't have Goemon and Fujiko, I never picked them up...then they were there in single packs...so I grabbed them all except Zenigata and the croucing Lupin...

ya it is...it only cost me 11 50 USD for it...so i was happy and the store i'm gonna pick up vol 3 at is asking 21 USD...which is a bit steep but still worth it cuz the sculpting is incredible...this bome guy should win sum prestigeous award or sumthing for his work! haha

megaspawn those Vampire Savior series 4 gashs are very sweet man. Felica has always been my fave character in the game. In fact she's the main one im good at in those games. Even in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 when it looked like i was down for the count my last hope was her and always won the match. where did u get them???

im more interested with the figures open, cause i look at all the detail in better light, and if its articulated, u can have a blast posing him in diff ways, like if u get uninterested in it, why just pose it, or arrange it differently, start a vs pose with another figure, have a whole story line outta who the fig has vs'ed against, lol

that is gonna be one of the sweetest action figures out there, right up there in the same categroy with gungrave, and yeah $65 is a bit much for it, $50 is what gungrave retails for, so there shouldnt be any reason that gazelle is higher. when does everyone expect a us release ? im guess about jan-feb 05 since its released in japan in dec .

So i was browsing HLJ, and saw that a set of gashapon from the anime Mai-Hime are due sometime this month. What is Mai-Hime you say? Good question. It's actually a brand new anime that's first episdoe JUST aired in Japan last weekend. The episode has since been subbed and is available for download. I downloaded, and watched it, and enjoyed it. I really like the character designs. not sure what its about really yet, but they say its a typical highschool girl story, but with some really good action scenes. So at least we know it should be something different from anything we've seen.

They had no pic, (much like them not having a pic of the new set of Naruto gashapon coming soon, which I have been dying for a look at), but seeing how i love the character designs, I went searching, thinking maybe another site would have them. And as luck would have it, it DID point me to a new site. While they didnt have a pic of the actual figs, they did have concept art for the figs.

Now, I only know the top 3 characters, as we werent introduced to the others yet in the show. So time will only tell if I care about the others, or heck, even these 3, or the show all together for that matter. But the show looks has, and I like the characters designs, so it's going to be tempting.

Happy that I found these, I pressed my luck and thought maybe I would find the Naruto gashapon that i have been waiting for, and sure enough, they had 'em! Well, Unpainted pics, but I still have an idea!

Looking at these, I can only make guesses as to who each of them are, except for the one labelled 4-5 on the bottom right: Kiba! (Arguably my favorite character on the show). Why is he labeled 4 AND 5? I can only assume they are counting Akamaru (his dog sitting on the top of his head) as a separate entity as a little joke for fans.

The rest? The smoothness of the 'things' in #1 lead me to believe that it's sand and therefore gotta be a Gaara fig.

Number 2 could be a bunch, but it kinda looks like they are holding something. Not many characters have powers which form in a ball by their hand, except for Naruto himself, and that aint Naruto. Upon closer inpsection, It kinda looks like its maybe a mask they are holding. Maybe an Anbu mask? If so, then I would immediately guess Kabuto. Unless they decide to go with a random obscure character, but Kabuto seems more likely. He has a lot of fans and is long overdue.

#3 at first glance I want to shout "Naruto!" but a couple things throw me off. The outfit seems a bit off. I dont think he's ever warn a scarf. Also looks like shorts he's got on. And the 'power/weapon' coming out of his hand? No idea. Doesnt look familiar at all...

#6 again is a tough one. At first glance, I would say Sasuke, because of the hair. The face looks a bit too angry though, but that could be the lighting. Again, something is off with the outfit too. Looks like he's holding his hand over his heart, like villians do when they are enjoying an attack. Cant think of anyone else it could be, besides his brother, Itachi, but we havent seen that side of Itachi yet either...

ah well, I'm anxiously awaiting painted pics, and when I find them you guys can be assured i'll be posting it here

dino, exactly what I thought was the only thing off on the sesshomaru pic, i noticed the eyes were a little different, but still a very good sketch. :) and yes theyre up vegeta, so post some interesting stuff now ! ;)

first up: Belldandy. She's just about perfect. The detail is insane. Perfect Sculpt. See that peg down the bottom? The end of the dress is supposed to click onto that. But i have to force it, thus bending the column she sits on. So I left it off. Thats the ONE flaw of this beauty.

and FMA: these are great too. The pics may seem a little off, but they are perfect in person. My favorites? Ed and Envy (first pic). But they are all great. Hard plastic. Even the flowing jackets are made with a harder plastic so they dont warp at all. Half of the pieces came wrapped in tissue paper for protection, which I have never seen with gashapon before. Winry has a slight leaning problem on her base, but other than that, she's perfect too. Not seen in the pic are a wrench and a pair of plyers lying behind her on the blanket. Nice little tribute to her true character there.

yes nick sweet pics, i had a diffulcult time with my trading arts sephiroth's head, and sword. The head just wouldnt seem to fit in the right place, and the sword would come too far back almost to the point where he was "kissing" the sword. But I got that all straightened out now, lol .

heck yeah, she's SO sweet in person. they are coming out with the other 2 girls two in a matchign set, each playing a different instrument. I have been telling myself I would be able to resist, and be fine with just Belle, but I dont think I can now!!

Once again, The Eva Sadamoto Collection has proven itself as the king of all gashapon sets. INSANE. The detail and sculpts are simply INSANE. Perfect in every way. Again, you probably cant see it in these pics. They 27.9 kajillion times better in person. This set is absolutely fantastic.

yeah, weapons always seem to be a problem. They tend to bend and warp when they are in their capsules and bags, unfortunately. The worst for me were probably the .hack gashapon. All of them were horrid. I think I just threw away Subaru's Axe. This Belldandy and FMA have to be the best though. Belle's flute is a very hard plastic, so it's nice and strong. And all of the flowing jackets in the FMA set, which are usually a problem are cast in a harder palstic than i've seen on gashapon before, so they are really sturdy too.

yeah, the weapons are a bit of a challenge at times, but nothing major. and sweet eva gashapons ! cant go wrong with eva, lol . i like the belldandy fig a lot, and ive not even watched an ep of amg yet , lol .

well, i recommend watching the 5 episode OVA thats been out for ages... becuase a brand new anime starts in Jan or Feb! Actually, I heard that it completely starts over and tells it from the beginning, so you may be able to skip the ova afterall! :P

but man, I am so pumped for the new anime it isnt even funny. SUCH a great manga, and they only gave it 5 episodes back in the day due to budget restrictions. We are finally going to get to see the rest of this story animated/ :D

Have the Inuyasha series 2 figures shown up in stores yet?

I don't watch the anime but i NEED that Kikyo figure. I may get 2 and do a custom repaint on one of them, add a sword and such. Always wanted a shrine maiden figure, but didn't want to get the Sailor Moon gasha set.

The drawings are usually different in movies, and they also had some 3D effects too.
