Diorama. She really look like a Japanese version of Little Miss Muffet.. I'm thinking either that or a mirror and light setup. Though a case could be nice.

haha u wanna hear my story? i waited few days b4 i made my decision to buy gazelle off ebay cuz i figured he wouldnt b in my city for at least another month rite? so ya i hit buy it now...then 45 mins later i get an email from my local shop that they jus recieved shipments of gazelle...so i got screwed...but lucky my buddy wants a gazelle too so he said he would take the one coming in from ebay so i went out n bought the one at the store haha...well worth the money...one of the nicest figures ive ever seen...i'm really glad they repainted him...cuz the original paint scheme for him was ugly as hell

God im on the gashapon wagon, have been for sometime now. Problem is, if you don't get a set as soon as possible, it can be almost impossible to find it or cost prohibitive down the line.

the darkstalkers gashapons posted were really sweet, but im not much into them i only got rurouni kenshin ones and naruto ones.

Ya ever seen a sizeable collection of Gasha though? Those are a thing of true beauty. I'd say the part of my collection i take the most pride in are my gasha and trading figures.

Plus i like the nekkid ones.:p :o :D

Ive had multiple computer/net problems and im currently using someone else's computer , so im not even on the net all that much . Ive had to do a major halt on figure collecting of every kind so nothing new in many moons. Just been hunting a lot and passin time here ;) In my area we are big hunters by the way , lol . But, I havent forgotten you guys and the many adventures we have shared . Good luck with those Jin-Roh figures. There was going to be a domestic rerelease of the 5", but it was scrapped. There are a couple of 12" ones, with and without light up eyes, and a recently released 12" female version.

I own both ver and I got to say the metallic ver are the best honestly they look so much better then the plain anime color ver :)

I know how ya feel. I just found out my Mayu no Ichizoku is gonna be a mixed regular/bloody paint set:( . Better than the clear variants i reckon.:rolleyes:

I wouldn't mind so much if they showed the variants in the promo shots. Those are what i base my decision on, so to throw in a color variant kinda angers me a bit, especially if i have to mix a set. It should be expected by now though, the Japanese love their repaints and clear figures.

MARK U have to cheak out E bay and see all the sellers selling the same DVD set of the Ninja Scroll series. They are all the same but some have different covers. I still do not undrestand what I got, and want to know why they are still having another box set out in April with 4 DVD and a figure???????? How different will that be to the one I got, will it have more episodes?

The boxset coming out with the figure is a 4 DVD boxset.
The 4th DVD consists of the behind the scenes footage, character concepts drawing, the usual stuff they throw in on any bonus disc. No new episodes though.

i poked around a bit last night, and didnt find any info...

... actually, i didnt really poke around, i just went straight to HLJ to look for them since they usually have stuff listed up for preorder pretty early with expected release dates... they dont always have everything, especially when it comes to gashapon, but i figured I would take my chances, but no luck...

i cant wait to here more about them and see pics though :D

on another note, I broke down and got a set of the current Bleach gashapon off eBay... it was a good price and i couldnt resist... and of course, I will take pics when they arrive..

As to when, much later in the year is my best bet. When there is a known date www.hlj.com (http://www.hlj.com) will be the best place to get them first. They will most likely make the trip over here, no doubt to sell out quickly like the Onegai Teacher set did.

Man, that is an insane price to pay for a 6" pre-paint/pre-assembled figure!Don't these people know how to use a search engine? There are places on the web and on eBay itself where you can find that figure for $25 USD or less.

If I had a choice, I'd rather sink that into a 1/6th resin/vinyl figure kit, or perhaps a die-cast figure instead.

My brother has been buying a TON of import figures & so many of them I want so badly but I'm not willing to pay as much as he does. Most recently, he bought a Ikki Tousen Ryofu off of E-bay, Rei & Asuka SEGA prize cleaning time figure set, Masamura designed Evangelion 02 plus a lot of stuff that I can't even remember now. Oh, here's a nice way to get Ryofu to stand without using the stand she comes packed with. Use one of the stands that comes with the Full Metal Alchemist Trading Arts figures. Her foot fits snuggly in. Looks much nicer than the "claw" base.

It was kinda cool because lots of the Animes that were talked about back on those first 40 or so pages, I hadn't heard of at all. And now, almost a year later, I know what a lot of them are. It's funny too because a year ago I only had the Kaiyodo Trigun figures as my only Anime figures. A year later, I must have well over 200 Anime made in Japan figures.
Speaking of figures, I bought about $80 worth of gashapon figures yesterday off of E-bay, among them 3 sets of Dragonball Z & Ikki Tousen part 2. I haven't bought any Dragonball stuff in quite a while, so I missed all these cool Goku & Vegeta figures. I'll post pics when I get them, plus Evangelion Part 3 gashapon series as well. Besides that, I also bought the complete set of Kia Asamiya BATMAN figures off of E-bay as well. Should get those this week too. Also, Kaiyodo Evangelion 00 Yellow & 01, got those yesterday (also E-bay). I have another Rei polystone statue coming in the mail too (yes, E-bay, lol),.

Anime figures are all that interest me now. I haven't bought an American figure for myself this year i don't think. Now i think im gonna get sucked into a resin kit.

The fluid and simple design are a thing of beauty to me, like a breath of fresh air after all the detail American makers try to cram into their figures. Plus all the US made stuff is boring as all hell now, 'cept for the Street Fighter line.

I have to agree with you IP. American figures really bore me. I mean ones based on Japanese properties. Can you say, McFarlanes Animation from Japan line or Jakks Dragonball Z/GT figures. YUCK!
The only American figures that I collect are DC Direct. The direct market company that makes all the DC Comics characters. Even then, they could learn a few things from Japanese toy makers, like packing tons of accessories like Kaiyodo does. Really, the only reason I collect DCD is because of the character they have licenced (BATMAN is my favorite fictional charcter) & the one sculpter, who I'm really a HUGE fan of his work. Tim Bruckner, if anyone is curious.
But for me, Japanese figures are really awesome pieces of work. Especially gashapon. The detail in those small pieces is out of this world, especially Furuta ( Inu Yasha ) & K & M, although Bandai really has some great pieces too.
I haven't gotten into resin kits for 2 reasons:
1) Really expensive
2) I have NO painting skills at all. lol

Depending on subject matter, you can get a kit for about the price of a 1/8 scale pvc.

Gashapon and trading figures are my new drug of choice. Problem is the really great ones sometimes don't make it here to the states, so getting them can get really tough. Im in a lull gasha wise, nothing im looking for is coming down the pipe for a month or two, thus my interest in a kit. Besides, what better center-piece for a Japanese figure collection than a 1/6 kit?

well, i cant say that there are american figs i dont like... i am loving the Marvel Legends line and pretty much anything DC Direct puts out... being such a huge fan of those comics helps though too...

but my main addiction is DEFINITELY anime figs, and especially gashapon... everytime i look on ebay there is a new set of gashapon i want... i have had to stop myself from just going and browsing... i think there are probably at least 5 sets out there now i want but just cant afford at the moment...

just this week 3 sets arrived. a School Rumble set, a Bleach set, and an Onegai Twins set. and i totally love them. each one looked better than the promo shot.

the worst part is, it makes me want more. i am forcing myself to stay away from ebay right now.

thankfully, i havent gotten into kits yet... my lack of talent at painting those kind of things helps keep me at bay... thank god... :D

It's pretty good if i recall. My mom liked it enough that she bought the dvd.

Jin-Roh has an underlying love story. One of the shorts in Robot Carnival is a love story.

Samurai x trust and betrayal and Samurai x reflections both have very strong underlining love stories. Both of them tho are in a way tragic love stories that dont have happy endings.

On the subject of Goddess:

They are both the same thing. The 'Oh' title came from Dark Horse and AnimEigo when they decided to release the manga and 5 episode OVA DVD. Whoever released the movie released it under the proper 'Ah' title.

I own the movie and the two OVA DVDs. Being such a huge fan, i am ashamed to say that I have never watched the movie. I heard it stands alone as its own title. I dont know if they go through introductions or not, but i think it would help to know the characters from at least the OVA.

again, i cant say for sure because i havent watched the movie

but if you do like it, i highly recommend the manga. Dark Horse has released 20 volumes under 'Oh My Goddess', and in the back of the last volume, they announced they are going to switch over to the 'Ah' title and release them in their original right-to-left format. the current Dark Horse release is one of the few manga out there that is in right-to-left format.

and also, the OVAs are kinda old, and they finally realized the need for a proper show, and the 'Ah My Goddess' TV Show is currently being aired in Japan. (I just finished watching ep 10 about an hour ago!) :D
