I received these from my buddy in Japan. I haven't opened the blind sealed cases yet to find out who the hidden character is, but at least you can see the characters available from it's box top...

New Microman Figures I picked-up by TAKARA
This one is called Acroscorl. Can you believe these guys have
been around since 1974? Anyhow, they make some interesting ones
sometimes like Batman, Optimus Prime and the up-coming Spider-Man!

the only trading figure i have is the Lulu one and i love it. cuz well.....its Lulu!!

yea dbz kept me into anime cuz you could only rent so much at blockbuster a few years back. i will admit the music isnt too great but there are times when its good. most of the songs i got are music that plays whenever vegeta is around both jap and american music for him.

good to see we are mostly around our 20's. if i was 14 id mostly be talking about dbz only cuz from what seen thats the only one most kids know of. im glad u like this thread Mark we shall make sure it continues on. today was a pretty good b-day for me now to see what i spend it on tomorrow. ill be ordering the Gungrave figure next week so im very happy about that. might buy myself a wallscroll tomorrow or something.

ya go check fast i was really glad they still had sum FD's left...honestly i was walking and outta the corner of my eye i c these cars with a big red D on the box then i saw the AE86 with "fujiwara tofu shop" on the side haha me n my buddy zipped rite over there...theyre only 5 bucks a piece here so i dont mind spending sum of my "animethon" money haha...they really did a good job on them...all the decals that u c in the show r there and its right hand drive and everything

the one with the white hood...takumi doesnt have the black hood on till later on in the series...he doesnt even have it up yet in the new 4th stage eps...i cant wait to get more so i can throw them up on my wall...cuz these r sum of the nicest pakaging ive ever seen its in a calmshell and under teh car has a pic of the driver and stuff like that

ive only read some of the manga havnt seen the anime yet. i wanna see it though cuz its on my list of animes to watch. im hoping to atleast find the 86 those tissue box tops and kinda cool. i like those dioramas too mostly the longer ones but with my space id have to get the smaller ones which are sweet too.

ya no kiddin everything is sweet...but then the fact of how much space we have left in our room coimes up haha...u should watch it...its really good...the 1st stage was probly one of the most hirribly animated shows...but the cgi and the story made it good...2nd stage cgi was better...continuatio of the story..anime was much butter but kinda stiff...and3rd stage was a movie so cgi was perfect and animation was perfect...and 4th stage is jus insane animation is jus a step under the movies animation cuz 3rd stage had a lotta money put into it and the cars r now cellshaded...and its bout prject d so u cant go wrong!

im just trying now to figure out which one to go to cuz i dont wanna drive too far, and the near my house might not have them. that one never seems to have anything good except MP Prime and thats it. i was lucky enough to find the first 2 Alternators there for exactly $5.50 each. but ill still go anyways just in case.

u got alternators for 5.50 us??? thats how much i payed in canadian bucks with taxes for the FD tonite, i payed 30 bucks canadian for my alternator...ya my walmarts r like 20 mins or more drives...but i luv driving so i dont mind

yup that one wal-mart thats only 15mins away from my house had them for only $5.50. at first i thought the scanners we broken and came up wrong so when i went to go pay they came up for that price and got them. i was happy. yea i may check out 2 other wal-marts since my day will be filled with things to do.

oh yeah, chubby, have you ever come across a manga title gunslingirls? that manga is freaking creepy too. about 1 of the government agency taking young disable girls in to train them to become assasins. each assasin is attach to a mission executor (a guy with a young girl (assasin, protecting the executor as well). damn freaking wicked!!!

the paint on mine seems fine on mine. there are just a few tiny spots that could be touched up on, but u cant tell unless ur really looking for them. i havnt opened her so i dont know about the rest of her body.

ive been thinking about buying this one cuz i think the tiger version looks cool and cute. and cuz its the only version i can find.

Well, he could have did Venom more adaptated for the movie, like they did with the cartoon.

They could like make it show Eddie working and how peter gets him fired and everything.

Then have the jammeson son go to space and bring back the smybiote but it doesn't get on him, then somehow eddie gets infected with it and becomes venom.

I liked venom because he wan't really a "bad" guy nor really a "good" guy. He did good things and bad things, isntead of like the last villians in the spider man movies have all been 100% bad hell bent on it.

i think Raimi did a good job with the movie. i mean seeing venom wouldve been cool to see but the way raimi has done the story is fine just the way it is. cuz the movies focus more on the person behind the mask rather than the person he becomes when he wears the mask. parker, mj and harry have to deal with this spidey problem. by adding venom to part 3 instead of the goblin wouldve thrown the movie off course. by raimi showing us harry finding out the truth on things it only makes sense to return the goblin.

You know what I wish they'd make? BATMAN as an Anime. Batman is my fave fictional character of all time so I wish he'd get the Anime treatment. I hate the silly aimed for kids junk they make Batman look like here in the US. I wish someone in Japan would get that idea. It would definitely kick butt!!

Mark i agree with you on the batman. he has been my favorite ever since i was lil. ive been there since the adam west batmans, stuck with the movies even when it went down hill after part 2. and even when they did batman beyond. ive watched and will continue to watch anything batman no matter how bad it gets. so its time to combine my love for anime with my fave hero.

ya there was a special kit with jus the AE86 and there were alot of parts with it...the initial d set i have has the AE86 body the FD3s body and the 86 comes with a white hood and a black hood too...i dunno i jus saw sum pics on ebay and they dont look as great as the tomy ones

Haven't been posting here for a few days because my other love besides Anime, Batman has been on fire with new figures. First, DC Direct announces HUSH wave 3 with the first ever Commisioner Gordon, Alfred & Ra's Al Ghul figures in the 6 inch scale along with a Scarecrow & then Mattel releases images of Bane & another Scarecrow figure! Also, I'm really excited about next Wednesday because figures based on Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns will be shipping to comic shops! Awesome time to be a Batman figure fan. :eek:
On the Anime front, I'm getting a chance to finish up watching Witch Hunter Robin on DVD. Then I move on to completing watching Trigun series(yeah, I've yet to finish the sereis, lol).
San Deigo Comic Con is like next week, so maybe new Anime figures will be debuted. I know Trigun creator, ...... ......., will be there.

dude, I gotta watch this anime ! The storyline sounds kinda like a game for PS2 made by konami Ring of Red, which is set in an alternate reality of world war 2, which japan is divided into 2 sections Democratic, and Communists . anyone ever play it ? :D

The movie is cool aswell. I need to watch it again cause the first time i saw it i didn't pay close attention while it was in Japanese.

ya i luved the movie...i understood it the 1st time through but it really understood it after the 2nd viewing...ive had the movie for like 2 years now and yesterday was the 1st time i got a chance to watch it in japanese haha...i usually watch sumthing in english then i watch it in japanese afterwards...and the music makes the movie so much better...i want the soundtrack now...

sum companies got the license i cant remmeber its been so long but i posted this up like months ago on sumone else thread but sum companies like mars and palisades teamed up to make them...they had the sketches for the figs and everything...everything was planned but no figures to b seen...no prototypes or nething yet

someone just needs to make some good samurai figures right now. i dont care from which anime as long as they are done good. yup chubby picked up monev at the comic store for about $29 and change. i was talking with the guy there and he had no idea there was going to be more Trigun figures even people who bought some last week didnt even know of the legato figure. but he has been trying to get a red monev for sometime now. he said the manager is trying to get some for the store and if i wanted i could put my info down and they'll hold one for me IF they get some in the future. the guys there are cool beening going there since i was 10 my high school was just a few blocks away so the owner knows me well and is cool. dunno why ive heard other members complain about the owner.

usually store owners r nicer to people who buy stuff more often haha...30 bucks isnt bad...but ti dont think they'll b able to get ne red monevs in unless the buy them offa ebay...cuz theyre discontinued rite...i jus want sum mech figures frum kaiyodo rite now...mainly that moribito type-02 figure!!! thats so nice

i think it is discontinued. i wanna know what kaiyodo will be showing off at SDCC this year. all i know for sure is that they will be showing some of their old stuff and a lot of new stuff.
