I have all of RahXephon and its a REALLY cool show but it does get into the whole Eva scheme of "screaming kids 24/7 and convoluted plot" at times... Still its a great show worth checking out :D Really cool designs too

Speaking of imported toys, you know I miss the days when EB Games, Media Play, Funcoland, and Babbages used to be LOADED with Japanese mecha and anime toys....

The EB at my mall used to have a whole wall like 10 feet high full of import toys.. Front Mission, Final Fantasy, Evangelion, Bastard, Armored Core... now that the dont have ANY toys at all.. not even Spawn... It sucks that they phased out action figures.

As far as other places, I'm telling you, around the time Final Fantasy 8 stuff was out and Kaiyodo was just hitting the US, those were the golden days. Whether its the stores' fault for not ordering or what, it still sucks that theres even less avaliable today than there was before.

I miss the giant walls of Japanese toys :(

Your right. Those stores used to have as much merchandise as stores like Suncoast but for some reason stopped carrying anything. I guess it wasnt selling.

I think the problem is that there just arent that MANY big lines of Japanese toys, that have like 5-15+ figures in them, that keep the shelves stocked. All of the lines I've mentioned went on for awhile and had tons of figures. You just dont see too many big action figure series out of Japan like that today... Theres a Bome figure here or there, an anime babe statue... but no like, series of 7 mecha with 24 repaints or something to keep you busy. Plus the growing trend in Japan towards mini figures (Gundam HCM, gashapon) doesnt help..

I can think of the Gundam Fix line and SIC off the top of my head...but there hasnt been a big videogame/anime with assloads of merchandise in awhile :D

So I got one of those 'sorry we missed you' delivery slips in the mail which either means my Trigun and Batman gashapon have FINALLY arrived, or they shipped my Azumanga Daioh gashapon REALLY fast. Will find out more on that one tomorrow.

There are some 1/16 scale diecast German tanks, but those go for alot of money. 500-600 easy.
