i dont know how it can be called pointless .The Weather Man cunningly captures a shared human experience: life. The ups and downs, disappointments and embarrassments, blessings and regrets of – life. The weather man himself gets caught up in the jugular of life, the semi-bleakness of wallowing through life self-absorbed and concentrating on what we want to happen (or think we want to happen) or what we don’t have – while belittling our achievements and thinking we’d be better in someone else’s skin. That’s a pretty strong message. Nevertheless, this film does a masterful job in letting the ‘moral’ of the film slowly resonate with the audience so that you leave feeling neither that the film is too heavy nor are frustrated by clichés and abstractions.
its a realistic portrayal that doesnt surgarcoat anything. he took up archery so that he could shift his emotion buildup into discipline and concentration to create a clear path in his life, even if he cant resolve everything.
we all have a little bit of the “weather man syndrome.” We, at some point in our lives, must come to the realization that life is in and of itself comprised of what we take for granted and second, we must wrestle with being a grown-up. "Easy doesn't enter into grown-up life."

D2eux likes to use the search after watching a movie that's been out for awhile. :)

That's funny. That kind of crap is exactly what I go to the movies to GET AWAY FROM!!!
This movie was depressing. That's all.
