Saw it today at 11:15 and had mixed reactions about the movie. I realize that it's supposed to be a B rated comedy horror, but it reminded me of some of the awful SciFi channel made for tv movies. The jokes were pretty good as well as the make-up and special effects. The story could have been better though. The Hills Have Eyes remake IMO was a much better movie. Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, and Shawn of The Dead all had better writers/directors behind them. I never want to hear that awful ear piercing Air Supply song again!!

What a disappointment. It was all horror and basically no comedy. There were a couple, and I mean that literally, funny points but that's it. This is no Shaun of the Dead, or Evil Dead, or Dead Alive, or Return of the Living Dead.

I suppose that it was a decent horror flick, but I've seen much better. I do appreciate the fact that they mainly use physical effects instead of churning out a CG-laden crapfest.

I just got back, and let me tell you, I haven't laughed so hard at a film in ages!

It has it all. Gross-out comedy at its absolute best, actors on top of their games, and some of the best practical, and CGI effects I've seen in horror flick in a LONG time...
Also, try to count all the nods to all the classics...you'll lose count!

This movie is the ****.

10/10...I had a blast!

Just remember...stay for the end-credits. It's totally worth it.

That's specifically why I made sure NOT to watch any of the clips you kept on posting, wanted to save it all for the big screen. Just got back from seeing it, and it was pretty damn good. It was like a B-movie with a budget, and it worked rather well, nice way to spend 96 minutes and be entertained :D

I really loved this flick...
It reminded me of everything that made eighties horror so fun, and then some. I knew I was in for a treat when within the first couple minutes their were already nods to The Thing, and Videodrome, two of my favorite films from the genre...

Also, the way you feel CP is why I usually only watch one "spoiler" clip for an anticipated film before I go see it. You can ruin a film pretty easily these days watching all the clips on the net...I like to go in with a fairly clean slate, so to speak.

The fact that this film TANKED at the box-office will put any other film like this on hold meaning no more horror-comedies, or 'big budget' B-movies...the "general" movie-going audience has spoken. They want torture. The "goriest" thing, is a dude gets split down the middle and his guts fall out. And dogies with their intestains and such scooped out. But there are some VERY NASTY moments. But they are just slimy, icky stuff.

CP I saw it but it had very cruddy quality so I'll be checking the good quality version as well when it's out BUT I felt a bit dissapointed though. All the good parts I'd allready seen in clips from previews and stuff. I was kinda expecting more creepy tentacle stuff and less zombie do-hickies.
I gave it a 9/10, because of that reason, too short, and too many damn clips online!!! :mad: And I was expect grant to be huge! Im thinking of a sequel idea where we see what comes after that stage(with a new host of corse ;) ), and I'll even give it to Gunn to take a peek at.

Ummmm I give this movie a 5 out of 10. I mean really I have pretty much seen it all before and it reminded me of the Men in Black movie. It was also too short. For a comedy horror movie I would have expected more jokes and comic stuff but there was one good line "***** is hardcore"
Well shaun of the dead was alot easier to do because it was just zombies, this was like Evil dead 2, that kinda humor. :o

Just saw something strange on the simpsons, A large pie explodes, sort of like the Blob lady, and hundreds of rat run out, sort of in like Slither, and then Bart yells, "Millhouse don't let them in your mouth!" Milhouse opens his mouth and the rats jump in, strange no?
