Official Hockey Card Thread.

Just a heads up guys, Pacific Trading Cards whent Bankrupt (as I've read any my 2 card shop owners had told me as well).

One company, has not been releases yet (but sources claim it to be Donruss), had bought the brand names of some Pacific products- Luxury Suite, Crown Royale, Prism, Exhibit, Titanium as well as couple others. However, it seems brands like Head-Up, regular Pacific, Invincable, AHL Prospects, and Calder, we've seen the last of.

I got this information from Beckett, as part of my weekly email, and posted this info on this thread last Friday I believe. Donruss is rumoured to be the favorite, because of the fact that they are wanting to get back into Hockey, and BAP-In The Game, may be starting to struggle themselves, and Upper Deck may not to risk there stronghold over the hockey card indusrty, by adding more products to an already full line-up of there own.

Just thoguht I would bring this up

I hope someone picks up an AHL license. although pac didnt do me any favors on my krajicek card... no way that the picture on the card is him.

sweet, I just checked the bap site and the emblem patches look sweet. I hope its not an overly expensive set to buy by the box. Last year's pac prospects was a lot of fun to collect. ALMOST FINISHED WITH IT TOO!

the greatest ROY item i have is an autographed KOHO blonde stick #26 /33 with an inscription " # 972 game 10-24-03 " .

got it for my birthday last year and i cried wheni got it .hahah im a hockey sissy hahah .

far as cards my buddy ray sent me a roy rc cause he knows i loveme roy , itll probably grade about an 8 cause the centering is off but otherwise the card is pack fresh .

in other news i pulled two autos today from UD prosign football . tommie harris from the bears and reggie williams from the jags , i know its not hockey but hockey is hard to come by here at retail , almost impossible actually .

it will fill the void til i can buy a box someday in the future .

Hey everyone, figured I'd post my pulls(as dissapointing as they were) from this evening. Firstly:
Box of Topps C55- Naslund Jersey Card, Vrbata Auto. And most of the high end rookies.

Box of Black Diamond- Red/50 Double Diamond Datsyuk, Quad Rookie Ruutu, Signature Gem Svitov, Green Diamond Thread/99 Afineginov, Diamond Thread Marty Turco and my other regular Diamond Thread............Marty Turco!!!

I got the same damn jersey card in one box!! same color swatch and everything. Also makes it 8 Turcos I've pulled this year, it's a bloody curse. And not like they're even a good Turco that I could trade to Tim, he's probably already got 3 or 4 of this one already. Luckily Espin was nice enough to trade me a Bondra Diamond thread that he pulled awhile back for one of them. So I'm only stuck with one.

And then to top things off saying Espin owed me some money he bought me a pack of Luxury Suite in which I got, a Tom Preissing regular rookie/599 and then a dual jersey Kotalik/Miller.

So all in all a very dissapointing night, got nothing of anyone I collect, and really didn't get any trade bait for that matter....... guess it's off to ebay to go buy some happiness!

It's been tried and it doesn't work. Well not by me but in Grade 7, some guys in my class tried smoking a rolled up OPC card. Don't ask me why.

Hey Espin! I don't have a trade page, as basically I don't trade or sell anything that I get! A packrat so to speak, so we will have to keep tinkering till we get it! :D Don't have much in the way of of game used jerseys (other than Leaf stuff, as I'm not really into them much! Raz you get 1 bobblehead and 1 jersey card per box of 02/03 All-Star Edition. All rookies are numbered to 100 and are inserted way less then 1 per box. If you check the book values even the brutal rookies are worth a decent amount, with that numbering.

You figure they could just paint on the laces to make it at least look right. I dont like the 3rd jersey aebi. The color looks too flat. Although with all the talk, this may become an expensive figure one day because everyone hates it and wants to repaint it.

Turco- Yeah I ended up buying a box through dacardworld on saturday night, figured if I pull a rookie then it will make it worth it, a common rookie books at $25, and the Spezza at $150. I just didn't know how common getting a rookie was, but less than 1 per box seems right.

I'm sort of on a mission... I want to get a piece of all 5 of Roy's main Avs equipment. I already got a jersey and a patch. I should have a pad :mad:. I got a stick but since its on a card with a jersey, I might go after a stick card. Need glove and blocker (hoping somehow I get that damn pad card from this *******)

well techically i got a signed stick so that ones not a priority but yeah it would be neat to have a page of roy equipment .
