Yeah I bought 3 Boucher jersey cards. Paid 10$ for a 4 color S/J.

Yeah the Franchise Fabrics is from the All Star game, not sure about sig jersey one since i don't have that card. I got all my pics off of ebay when I won the auctions, don't have a scanner.

A friend of mine has got a bunch of Gretzky cards that he is looking to get rid of. They are 2nd and 3rd year cards and Beckett has them listed for around $400. He is looking to get $250 obo for them, i think there is about 6-10 of them, but there could be more. They are all in very good shape, no bent corners, dings or noticable flaws. Would anyone be interested in these?

Oh, just saw the added Nash/Heatley part. Off the top of my head I know my "best" Nash card is a 02/03 Quest for the Cup 294/500 card from the 2003 NHL Draft set I got in Nashville. Set books for about 60 bucks according to beckett.com.

Although I'm not a huge fan of the Premier Collection cards, those are two sweet patches, especially the Lemieux swatch! Very nice pickups! ;) :D

I wish I could share my collections with my daughters, but they have very little interest! You know the market real well, so you can pick up some real great stuff at a fraction of the cost! That's something I wish I did sooner! Makes no sense to spend big bucks on boxes when you can pick up the cards you really want! I love Ebay for that!

Thanks, ebay is really good for low prices. Thing I hate is waiting to get the card. Working at a card shop works for me though. I meet lots of people, make lots of trades and get good deals.

If you ever go to Calgary you have to go to D***'s collectables. I bought a 250$ Brodeur for 15$, and 250$ worth of goalie rookies for 30$. I got a Gold Label Class 3 Turco for 2$!

It may of went there, I don't use the hotmail account often, so I very seldom check it! Let you know shortly! I will be around the board most of the night, so let me know about the trade! Might have to wait till at least Wednesday to send, as my van is going in for service tomorrow, and our company golf tournament is on Tuesday! That will still give us a few days to tinker with the deal! Tim and I have traded a few times, and as soon as we agree to send, we always end up having another trade agreement a couple days after! :D It can take up to 2-3 weeks to get to the states, depending on customs. I have received stuff 7 days after the auction closed on ebay, but US customs always hold stuff up going over to your side! Canada Customs aren't as tough, but have been tougher since the terrorist attacks on the World trade Center buildings! Do you send stuff regular mail? It's pricey to send stuff to the US with insurance and tracking! We can talk about that later! I'll check hotmail now!

Gentlemen, I need your opinions -- I'm currently debating the purchase of a box of 04 BAP Ultimate Memorabilia.

Yeah yeah, I know I got out of the card hobby last year.....but some of the previews I've seen of this set are unreal. I was extremely let down with my pulls from my two Luxury Suite boxes, so I'm apprehensive to drop so much dime on the BAP Ultimate box......so I really don't know what to do here. Let me know what you guys think....

Well I won a card on July 1st, and the guy sent his shipping address and the price (I won multiples and there was no combined (he said at auctions end he will notify you)) on July 4th. So, my dad sent payment on the 5th (day after he sent info) and yesterday he e-mailed me saying that he needed payment exactly 14 days after auction, and I mentioned how long it took for him to send me the info and sent it out the next day. So I damn well hope the payment arrives before the 15th.

He said yesterday in the e-mail I had 3 days and then he will notify ebay of none paying bidder and leave negative....
make sure you keep all the email, that way if he leaves negative feedback you can plead your case with ebay showing proof of how long it took him to send you his info

I think they are stupid....Really? I would of thought they'd be worth more as they are 1/1's. So if there are 50 of those cards made, is that 1 of the 50, or are there actually 51? Think about that one gents! I would guess it would be 1 of the 50, and the 1/1 is a buyback!

Also, if that was a Gretzky/Howe/Roy/Lemeiux would it sell for more than the original price! I think so! ;)

Who is your favorite player and why???

Mine: Saku Koivu

Why: Well when my beloved Habs traded disgruntled, franchise goaltender Patrick Roy, I thought it may be the end of their competiveness in the league. However, a few months go buy and I see this young player blossoming before my eyes. I was amazed at his vision on the ice, and his very good speed. A couple years later the Habs put together a line that was really one of the best in the league. Recchi-Koivu-Corson, each attributed their own game to the line, to make it essence, a relatively perfect line. But, what stood out most was Koivu's amazing play-making ability. A couple career seasons brought him to the top of my fav. player list where he has remained for nearly a decade now. Not only do I appreciate his on ice and leadership skills, but also after 2002 have an enormous amount of respect for him. A man diagnosed with Cancer, and many doctor's believed his hockey career to be over, ends up coming back to play in that SAME SEASON! The courage and determination he showed was unmatched, and when he made his debut in April against the Senators, even I was a little water-eyed watching and listening to the near 5 min. standing ovation. He WILL be my fav. player until he retires.

Mine are Iginla, Heatley and Kovalchuk. Lemieux is my all time fav though.

Iginla- One of the best players in the world right now. He's the classic all Canadian player who and score, hit and fight, plus he can play d and penalty kill also.

Heatley- Just cause he's a great player and great goal scorer.

Kovy- After seeing him score 6 goals in the rokkie all star game a couple years ago, I really became a fan.

Dany Heatley : Although the car accident didn't do much for his popularity, I think he is one of the most talented players in the NHL right now! He is only going to get better!

Rick Nash : Is also someone with enormous amounts of talent! Wait till he gets some support in Columbus!

Belfour/Sundin/Tucker : Cause I'm a Leaf fan! :D

Yzerman and Sakic : Have always been a huge fan of these 2, as they are clutch performers, not to mention all round good embassidors to the game!

Any of you guys have any Tretiak memorabilia cards?

I know it is an unusual request, but I am obsessed with Tretiak memorabilia.

I do have some Tretiak memorabilia (game used cards from previous BAP ultimate sets, etc.) but I am always on the lookout for more. I bought his book recently (The Art of Goaltending) and it is outstanding.

If any of you guys ever happen to locate any during your pulls/travels, etc. - let me know. There was an excellent Tretiak custom on Ebay a couple months ago that I just missed out on, it was made out of the Hasek pose....(dancing Dom) but looked much better than the actual Dom figure.......Tretiak rules. His influence on modern goaltending is immense.

funny you asked that flesh- I was thinking the same thing one day. Since I know that Turco bids on the same cards I'd bid on, I NEVER bid on anything he has bid on. I guess its some respect b/c I know whats it like to really want a card and not be able to get it. But I do wonder if someone else would do it.
