I paid $110 for mine, and I will definetely get at least 1 more. And to be honest with you, I think that the price is very reasonable. I think the pulls are sweet, and the reg. cards are appealing. I am going out on a limb here, considering Upper Deck has not released 1 set this season yet, but this will be the most popular set this season :o

Now of course if I am in the mall, I'm going to check the one store in there that hasn't received NFL 10 yet. Walked in and saw a sealed case of NFL 10 (there was another sealed case but I didn't bother to see what it was because I already got Gretzky). I asked him to open it, he said he would do it in 30 minutes. I killed some time, and went back 25 minutes later and he just started opening the case... the last figure he pulled from the box:

My "pull" story of the day!

So I buy 5 packs of Parkhurst retro, and 5 packs of Black Diamond.

In my Parkhurst Retro I pull--> Retro Nicknames Gerry Cheevers "Cheesy" Game Used LEg Pad

In my Black Diamond I pull--> Eric Stall Quad RC, and Diamond Threads Modano

So, I am already happy with the Cheevers, but the card shop owner is a big Staal fan and he wanted the quad (already has an SPx Auto/Jersey, and ICE Glass RC, just to name a few), so I said no problem. So, the Staal booking at $50.00, I traded it for a Franchise Fabrics Theodore, and a "BLANK" <-- my gift for the SECRET SANTA ;) , but that only came up to $45.00, so he gave me an extra pack of Black Diamond.

As noted, Pacific was sold to Dunruss. I'm actually surprised it took this long for the site to be defunct. up until the Expo it was still live. I don't know who has the rights to the website, but I don't think Donruss does.

Right now, UD is the only company with 'PA licensing and I wouldn't expect Donruss to just approach the NHL.When the new CBA is established, Donruss will more than likely get a license and ITG should be back in for current stars.

As it stands now, Topps will not be doing any hockey products this year, which would be the first time since 1983-84 season (96-97 they had the Picks set and 97-98 they did sticker sheets). In fact, in 1982-83, one of the two ers in the 80s that they did not do hockey cards, they did a sticker set. I do not believe Panini will be doing a set this year either.

Donruss has been doing a ton of different sets in FB and BB, such as Prime Cuts (basically the equivalent of Ultimate Memorabilia, Rookies and Stars and Contenders.

In tems of autographs, they've been really good with those, especially in their premium sets like Certified Cuts (baseball).

I've been enjoying Donruss's products. In FB, my fave has probably been Rookies and Stars (cant argue with 1 RC per pack) and BSB it's Leaf Limited.

I have one game-used stick from Tony McKegney. My uncle got it for me and game-dated it. I also have a game-used Jets puck, two gamer helmets and a Jets WHA practice puck.

Anyone in an AHL area should have an easy time getting a stick. so many of the two-pieces are breaking a part and I don't htink the blades are re-used. The shafts are another story since they're so expensive.

A little off topic here, but have you guys seen the new SP Signature golf product! Auto'd 8X10's included. Have no idea how much the packs are, or what the odds of pulling jerseys, and autos etc., so any info would be great! I just won this auto's 8X10 of Canadian LPGA golfer Lori Kane for my boss for Christmas. My boss is an avid golfer, and a woman, hence the choice of player! Got it for $20.50 which seemed fairly reasonable, as they just came out recently, so the demand is high right now! Here it is! What do you think?

Trin, UD has its next set coming out this month, and UD series 1 is out in Dec. I don't nkow if there's going to be another Pro AHL boxed set yet though.

I'm impressed by the big golf cards, but come on. for thst size you should be getting a bigger 'graph. Did anyone get the Donruss Studio 8x10s autographed?

Okay enough teasing. Here is the answer. During the 1999-2000 NHL season, the Rangers decided to sew a patch on the inside hem of their jersey to commemorate the last home/road game in 1999 and the first home/road game in 2000 to celebrate the Millenium. They wore a different jersey in each one of these games... each patch indicating the date and the team they played on that night.

Well on December 26th, 1999, the Rangers played the Devils at Madison Square Gardens... and this was the patch they had sewn inside their jersey...

Not only that... but that night the Rangers played the Devils to a 3-3 tie.... and guess who had a 3 point night? THEO FLEURY! With 1 goal and 2 assists!

Thats why I shelled out more than usual for a card like this. Its one thing to identify a sweet swatch to a particular part of a jersey, but its even better when you can identify the part on the jersey to a particular jersey worn at a particular game! :D

I will talk to my buddy and see if I can use his scanner or digicam... and try and get a picture. The swatch is from an L.A. Kings Jersey, and the feel of the jersey, it bulges out of the card, seems like there is a ton of jersey smashed in it.. I just can't explain it, i am very happy with the card.

I need your help though guys!!! In the emblem part, there clearly is a bulge from the emblem on the chest. However, on the left of the emblem, does it look like more emblem, jersey, something else? Or is it just seem like a blank little space? I can't tell

Tim! Would you mind checking your local card stores for a price on that Golf product SP Signature? I wouldn't mind picking up a box, or 2 off ebay, but I don't know what boxes, or packs retail for! There is suppose to be 2 Tiger autos per case! 12 boxes per case, and 6 packs per box = 1/72 packs! :eek: At 2 per case that is a Tiger auto for every 36 packs on average! Not bad odds I'd say! modano , tchuck , guerin are all great players and at times have shown flashes of brilliance , weight is just old as hell and about to quit i think .

i love modano , that f-er is SO FAST , skilled as helllllllll and just fun to watch , granted last year was bad but thats not saying when hockey starts again that he wont be great again i think he has a few good years left and tkachuk is a bad man , hes tough as hellllllll and gets the job done , both of then are *******s mind you but they are still good players .

the cards inside canactually be quite valuable. there's possibilities of Tanguay, LECavalier, Luongo and Morrison RCs.

If you want to keep the outer card just for display or possible graph and don't care about the value, you can use a scapel to slice the back portion of the card and pull out your card. I did that with a fedoriv Silver parallel and pulled a Selanne Z-Team.

Just make sure to "bump" the inner card away from the spot you're going to cut. you dont want to risk hurting the inside card.

BTW, the Yzerman 5x7 books for 6.50 in the newest Charlton (14th ed.
