I been thinking. What is better to have? A autographed jersey of a hockey player or a autographed card. I always thought it would be a easy decision Jersey no doubt but the more I think of it the Card has a picture of the player on it wich is a evening out factor for me. Is it no competition jersey all the way or are there some who would take a card over a jersey?

Jersey, I love how they look. I have my Fleury done in silver so it's a given

hey guys got some bad news sorta , well for me its bad news .

i was going to the post office to send out all the ud stuff to everyone and my f-in card is dead . by the time i got my butt up to the post office via my bike it was closed so im not sure when the next time im going to be able to get there as im supposed to work everyday this week .

i will get the stuff out to everyone at some point in the very near future i promise .

I noticed that on Tuesday when I got mine! I knew you'd be happy! The commons went up to $40 (I have Owen Nolan), and Rick Nash went up to $100!!! :eek: Got that one for $40 Canadian, and the Nolan for $25 Canadian! I am such a business tycoon! lol!!! ;) :D

Long story Troy...

The seller has had 2 of them, both with almost identical patches from the Bruins 3rd jersey crest. But UD never had a 3rd jersey of Bergerons (People knew this and UD confirmed). So that sums it up. UD only had a home and away jersey.

Funny, that one is numbered out of 50 (don't know what the odds are on the packs) and it's $30 and the 97 Retro jersey is like 1:288 packs but not serial numbered and it's $60.

Looking for suggestions on selling my card collection (10,000+ cards).

I wanna try and stay away from selling them in singles. I would at least like to group stuff together by type (insert, parallels, rookies, GU, auto'd, etc.).

Is eBay the best way to sell an entire collection?

Just so you know, there's about 30+ auto'd cards and about 55 GU cards.

i just realized something . the koivu i have is one of the "97" jerseys from ud 1 .

i thought it looked familiar but i just figured out why .

well it was and guess what the jersey card looked like ,
yep thats right just like the koivu that i posted a picture of a few pages back .

i knew i had seen that before and i started thinking it looks like an older design and i started thinking why would they do that and then i realized that 1 and 1 are 2 and well the rest is history .

so thats your history lesson in card collection today .

barry sanders was the first jersey car ever made , but the sanders had gold stamping on it and the new ones dont but whatever .

So I bought a few packs of H&P, all base, but got M-A Fleury and Ovechkin. Bought a blaster box of Series 1... got a Lord Stanley and Foster Hewitt YG, and a Jari Kurri Heritage Classic GU. The blaster box was only $25 so I thought what the heck :)

Anyone have anything from 03/04 MVP... my brother's collecting it. So far he's pulled Lindros and Niemnen jerseys, one silverscript, and two gold scripts.

I don't really have a white whale for Iginla. Just trying to add to the auto collection for now. Plus I got my Ice Authentics and that was the card I was trying to get for a while, and I don't see myself spending 100+ dollars on any card.

Actually I'd love to get the Iginla UD Auto/Jersey like that Koivu you guys posted. I remember seeing one when I first got back into collecting cards. It went for something like 15 or 20 bucks and I wanted to bid but I thought, "No way in h*ll I'm paying that much for a card!!!" Yeah dumb move on my part as I've paid way more than that and that would be a total steal for the Iginla.

With the strike, I'm seeing some steals out there! Was going after a H+P auto'd Gilbert Brule tonight until it got to $51 and change! :eek: Thought I was gonna steal that one when it was at $20 with a couple hours to go! :( Got that gold Belfour for $14.94!!! The silver guides for $50, and gold, I think is (X 1 1/2) :) Going to start working on retired players autos now, as well!

In other news My local Hockey Team the Fort Wayne Komets from the UHL, sent me free tickets to this saturdays game! I learned on SPortscenter that The UHLs Motor City Mechanics will be signing Chris Chelios, Derian Hatcher and possibly Kirk Maltby. Seamus Kotyk a rookie goalie last year for the San Jose Sharks is also now tending net for the Rockford IceHogs of the UHL.

Rocco, people have thrown out a lot of good ideas. If it were me, I'd just put it on ebay with a reserve for a price I'd at least want to get for it, like 150 bucks or something and then a BIN for 250 or 300. Maybe check ebay for all completed auctions for Howe autos, Howe autos that are low numbered and autos from that set (hopefully with the low numbered as well). Those 3 categories should give you a decent idea on what you could get for it.

Oh geez...at first when I heard that ITG was making a Canadian team set, I was like "Awesome! Cards of some older Flames!"...then I looked at the memorabilia/ auto set. The two autos are pathetic. Guy Chouinard? Phil Housley?! Phil Freaking Housley?!? Memorabilia ain't any better. The only card I want is the Fuhr/ Vernon card. Man, what a bloody disappointment for me. I was hoping for at least a MacInnis, Fleury, GILMOUR, Nieuwendyk...for some reason, card companies forget to mention that Killer won his only Cup as a Flame...frig.

When I get the rest of the YGs I need for the 04-05 UD set, the total book value of it will be $276. If I can sell that as a lot for at least $100 and the Howe for at least $250... I'll have several boxes of Ice to rip apart :)

Thats 5 boxes of Ice at $80 a box... and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find them for that price

Who else is in said Calgary set?

There is a Vernon jersey, dual (with Fuhr, which looks kinda cool)
There is a Housley auto, stick, dual (with Mullen) and a Complete Jersey (vomits)
There is a Guy Chouinard auto, jersey (vomits again)
There is a Hakan Loob dual (with Jari Kurri)
There is a Joe Mullen dual (with Paul Coffey).

No Otto, Mcdonald, Suter, Gilmour, Hunter, Fleury...mostly puke. A Vernon auto would have been cool too. I would have beat my mother to death for a quad of Nieuwendyk, Fleury, Vernon, and MacInnis.

icemanjj "Oh geez...at first when I heard that ITG was making a Canadian team set, I was like "Awesome! Cards of some older Flames!"...then I looked at the memorabilia/ auto set. The two autos are pathetic. Guy Chouinard? Phil Housley?! Phil Freaking Housley?!? Memorabilia ain't any better. The only card I want is the Fuhr/ Vernon card. Man, what a bloody disappointment for me. I was hoping for at least a MacInnis, Fleury, GILMOUR, Nieuwendyk...for some reason, card companies forget to mention that Killer won his only Cup as a Flame...frig.

- Mac, Fleury and Nieuwendyk are still members of the PA, so they can't be in.

Gilmour is with the Leafs in the set. I know it's going to get some ughs, but he's still the king of Toronto hockey cards.

I really like how they're including original senators, and theHamilton Tigers, Montreal Maroons and Quebec Bulldogs.

LOL Damn I just got home yesterday from my 3 week vacation to Pittsburgh. I'm in the UK. Got to see a Wheeling Nailers game and also traveled to WBS to see the Baby Pens lose to Syracuse 4-3, and ordered my authentic 3rd jersey WBS Pens. I also got to meet up with Tom R and Derek 44 which was awesome.

I'm waiting on a Parkie Malone Auto-Number card /10, a Colby Armstrong Auto-Jersey card /5 and my friend won the Parkie Malone emblem card for me too 1/1

Not from the Pens chat room, but I'm watching Pens Northstars game 5 '91 finals right now. Glad you enjoyed your trip to Pittsburgh. Great you got to see some hockey too. Next time your here, it would be worth traveling 2 hrs north to catch an Eire Otters game. They play in the OHL. Very good junior hockey. Take it easy.

Rocco I got some awesome news for you. Burbank sportscards through beckett, is selling boxes of ICE for $81.00 each +shipping of course. But, I think that is a pretty good price, I haven't seen them that cheap since Summer/early fall. 5 boxes worth, I think would get you a couple great pulls. You would probably be gauranteed at least 1 ICE Authentics, most likely get an UnderGlass Auto, be a fairly safe bet for 1-2 ICE Breaker, and probably 1-2 patches. Can't rule out the possibility of a /99 Rookie, or /25 Glass Rookie. Great odds
