Thanks for the Head's Up rocco, lost out on 2 of those Liles ice cards already! The Die-Cuts are sweet, but I have yet to get any. I have all the other Pristine cards though!

I remember Liles being bashed for not being a physical enough Dman and being just a power play caliber Dman. In the same broadcast they said Mikhail Kuleshov was the future of the AVS and Cody McCormick would be a huge impact to an evergrowing elder roster.

Liles came out of nowhere and made a huge impact his rookie season. 10 goals and 24 assists is pretty good, I don't think Barrett Jackman had those stats when he won the Calder Memorial Trophy in 2003

mccormick is ok , some potential , kulshove havent seen him play yet so i cant say but i did get one of his parkhurst rookies just in case :) and a few mccormicks as well .

nothin to interesting on ebay really . there are a few neat short print aebischers coming up in the next few days but otherwise its pretty thin on stuff .

Pretty nice box Dan! Dual autos are 1 per case I think! Those two rookies you mentioned are on my radar! Should be able to get them for $5-$7 each! Broke right now, but I'm trying to get a bunch of these before hockey starts up again, and the prices go up! Great time to buy if you have faith hockey will once be played again! :(

In my opinion the one thing against Upper Deck with there Ultimate series, are the high print runs of some cards. Comparing to the BAP Ultimate Memorabilia, there was no Memorabilia card numbered higher than 50 :eek: !!!!!

Its too bad for Upper Deck, becasue they REALLY pissed off BAP this time by using the "Ultiamte" name that they have been making famous the past 4 issues. It'll be tough to see, since I am big fan of many Upper Deck products...but the BAP will put to rest this Spring which company boasts the gretest "Ultimate" collections.

KO in ROUND 1!!!!!! BAP destoys Upper Deck :D :p

the cards I saw in UD ultimate blow away what I've seen with BAP.... Sakic/Forsberg Dual NHL logo 1/1 :D HUGE St.Louis signed on the Patch. It should be interesting to see what happens :D

I only collect Roy, Aebi, and Liles though. I have seemed to mainly focus on Aebischer and Liles though because their stuff is a lot cheaper than Roy :)

Well, I think it is way to early to say he won't score 20 goals. But the reason why he is so popular, is his determined style of play. He is an aggetator, without being dirty. He can get under any player's skin. Studies from the players, already show after 1 season, he is the most aggrevating player in the NHL :eek: . One thing is for sure, if he is assigned to you defensively, you can rest assure, he will be on you like a fat kid on a smartie all night :D . I think he has the potential to score 20 goals, if he can get the time on the top lines and on the PP. He can really turn into a Dino Ciccerelli if parked in front of the net on the PP. Could get like 10 PP goals a season. High upside. He will never be a superstar, but I think he already is a player you would rather have on your team, than play against

I saw him play 5 or 6 times when he was with Brandon I believe. He was a nasty little bugger, put Brooks Laich head first into the boards from behind in Seattle's barn. He was a very talented WHL'er and scored a ton, just not sure he will ever score like that in the NHL. If he is even half of a Dino or Claude Lemieux, he will have a long long career. I see where you are coming from now, and you're right you either love him or hate him, not much middle ground.

As for Tootoo, one of the reason I like him is cause he has such an interested story. Beig the first Inuit player and the story of his brother. Jordin's brother played hockey for like a year, maybe a bit longer, on the Midget Triple A team back where I'm from and was in the same grade as me when he played there. A bunch of my friends knew him from playing hockey and from school. I think Jordin played on the same team for a short time before he went to OCN of the MJHL, a buddy knows him a little from school or was his billet or something.

being in the south i got to see tootoo play a bunch on tv here FOX SOUTH SPORTS NETWORK and that kid was a fireball !

fought his *** off every second he was on the ice for sure .
hes fun to watch for sure .

it will be interesting to see how he comes up in the NHL if there
ever will be anymore NHL that is cause hes got talent and drive and heart
and i think the heart counts for more then anytning in his case .

its a good story but ive heard alot of negative things about the kid too
but who knows if any of them are true but i will watch him play anytime
i get the chance cause hes fun to watch for sure .

Living in Sudbury, I hear alot of "stories " about Bertuzzi too, but I don't know what to make of them either. Deadman is right, the kid has HEART. Something that cannot be taught. Heart could be the greatest attribute to a hockey palyer's skills.

With all this talk about Tootoo, it brought me to ask this:

Your Most Memorable Hockey "Heart" Moment

Mine, is nothing really major, and a sub par defenceman at best. My greatest hockey heart moment, was back in 1998/1999 Eric Weinrich, was a defenceman for my beloved Montreal Canadiens. Montreal was ravaged by injuries that season, yet somehow they managed to be in the hunt for the final playoff spot. Then Weinrich was Montreal's most consistent and reliant D-man. Late March, Weinrich ended up breaking his foot. April hit, and the Habs were still in the hunt. Eric Weinrich casts his foot, gets a larger skate and laces up for the final 2-3 games of the season. I jsut thought, it took a large amount of heart and dedication to his team, to play with this injury. Especially since many players will skip games with "flu-like symtomes", or "bruised noses". Montreal did not make the palyoffs, but the respect I had for Weinrich, was much increased.
