Hi everyone,

Though I'm new to the forums, I've been coming in here for the past year or so and reading everyone's posts. I've been watching this thread for a while now and thought I would see if any of you could help me out in tracking down the few remaining cards I've been looking for from last years UD series 1 and 2. I've attached my wantlist below.

I actually got it a few months back through the Beckett marketplace. It's a pretty nice 3 color patch (white, gold, and green). It's getting pretty hard to find the rest of them though.

alrighty... I should go to bed now. I want to get up around noon so I can take my laptop to Best Buy. I figured out what was wrong with it, and now I just need it fixed. I might be getting a new one soon though (fingers crossed)... I've set my sights on this one:

I saw it at Best Buy today. Its awesome!!! I can get it for just over $1300 with payments of $48 per month (I can easily afford $48 a month)

Don't have too many good Iginla cards. In addition to the 03-04 US series 1 and 2, I mainly collect Datsyuk and other Red Wings.

Do it.. Once the NHL comes back no forsberg in the Avs lineup Hejduk will be come even more prolific and Iginla stock will rise even further, That card in the longrun is bound to go up in price!

just my thoughts but its a great deal pick it up!

Holy Crap! The Under Glass autos are up again this month! Commons up $10 to $50. Cherry up to $60. Roenick, and Spezza up to $100. Thornton up to $80. Brodeur $250. Gaborik $150. Rick Nash is up $25 to $125! (Gee, am I ever pee'd off I got that for $40 Cdn :D ) And finally......Roy up to $500 :eek:

Another SP from the 01-02 BAP Signature Series auto has showed up! Peter White auto $100. Jan Hlavac is up to $150. Anson Carter, and Jiri Fischer are unchanged! Man those are high prices! :eek:

Ultimate has been pushed back
to an UNKNOWN release. Very few cases were ordered from UD, so they are delaying its shipment, odds are the same will hapen for the SP Authentic that was supposed to come out aswell.
If i find out anymore I will pass it on, but for know Ultimate has been delayed indefinately.

I definitely collect Orr..into all the Bruins really. Like you I wouldn't mind a 1/1 NHL Shield either, I think thats the wish list of everyone. Same goes for the Octographs in SP Authentic.

This is why I buy my cards off ebay. I had the day off so I decide to head to my local card shop to see if they have the new beckett. Doesn't have it of course. But I see in the glass cabinet the guy is selling an 03-04 Chuck Kobasew SOTT for 25 bucks. Get real man, Beckett Plus has it listed at 12 bucks. Before X-Mas I traded in a couple cards and got a 03-04 Shooting Stars Leopold jersey for 25 bucks. It's listed right now at 12 bucks and probly was then too but it's 3 colors so it was totally worth it IMO. But still, is this common practice where card shops don't keep their prices up to date (assuming that's his reason)? Nevermind the fact the dude has ZERO product in from this year, wanted to buy a few packs of Upper Deck but no.

Ok, I'm done ranting. :D

gratzi remember store owners also have to pay rent, and usually have to pay salary to some guys min wage too work, as they can't be their the whole day every day, which is why they charge more for packs, singles, and boxes then online. My dad owned a store for 16 years so I know it can be tuff to adjust prices month to month, for every card in the store, and some just dont care anyhow, hoping someone wants the card and just doesnt care. Most stores arent open for the small collector like us anyhow, but for just a few who keep the store open. The store I buy from has 15-20 customers who without he'd be gone. Each spends well over $1000 a week in the store on product, including 1 who spends on average $8000 a week on product. Hell I was their last week when he came in to buy stuff for his 9 year old son, Bought him a case of UD Ultimate FB and UD Trilogy basketball, around $6000 just so his son could have fun,

saw the Tandems and Aebi Patch. The Tandems I can do without and the patch slightly tempting but I'll let it go. As for the Aebi/Roy patch, I'll let that one go... if I buy one they damn well better have nicer swatches than that! The Aebi piece isn't bad... I actually like the puck portion of the Avs logo being used, buy the all white number piece on Roy's side kills it... maybe (and thats a big maybe) if it stays low

I believe it has a target release date of May 10. Two autos per box and a chance for an "octograph"!

I know (notice my avatar)!!! I'm gonna have to get me a Team USA Liles jersey!!! I'm really disappointed Roenick isn't on the team. For the most part, they did a poor job picking this team.

You collect Palffy, Liles, and Nash, right?

When I posted that you still had the bling bling cat avatar! The team is ok, if Tim Thomas is playing goal as good as they say he is in europe, then they have a chance. I like the younger look of the team, because this is the future of American hockey. With Doug Weight and Modano as leaders, and possibly Scott Gomez, The team should fair well.

Also you are right, I collect Palffy, Nash, and Liles. I have some sweet Nash and Palffy cards on the way and also a nice Liles gold /10

If anybody needs anything from 03-04 UD Series 1, check ebay... the master set is on ebay. The lower end stuff is listed in lots, but the higher end stuff is listed separate (like the patches, big playmakers, and 500 Goal Auto/Jerseys)

I emailed the dude asking if he will be listing anymore stuff. Still looking for the Ignila Signature Jersey and possibly the Iginla patch but I know that one will cost me.

Both of those Iggy's are from Series 2... he has the series 1 master set

Anyway, I'm going to try and go for the Roy. I'm going to try and snipe at $150, and if I happen to win it, I'm not going after the Aebi dual patch.

Hey guys, i was going through my collection and need help pricing a card. It is a 2000-2001 SPX Winning Materials Patrick Roy card. It has a peice of game used stick and jersey, the jersey is the reddish from the shoulders on the older jerseys. I have been looking on e-bay for something like it and have found nothing. Any help is appreciated. I'll try and post a pic as soon as my computer starts working right.

I have a card with Luongo card with him in the islanders jersey, but it says panthers, and he is with cujo in the leafs jersey. It says upper deck mvp in the middle and has excellence down the sides. It is in holofoil lettering as well. I can't find a listing for it anywhere. I am in the process of trade and i the other person is interested in it. If you guys could help me out it would be great. BTW i'm not sure if this helps, but the year on the back of the card is 2000.

I have the same card, it's 00-01 UD MVP Excellence books for 3$
