TURCO - Do you know anyone who we might be able to work a 3 way deal through to get you the Fleury? Or does "goaliemom" have a reason to buy you a gift anytime soon?

I am not sure of anyone right off the top of my head but I want that card badly :D... I know "goaliemother1" won't buy me anything right now since she just spent a good 800$ on two trips, and 250$ on a game worn jersey

Ugh Bozzy, how in the world could you give up a Bobby Orr auto for Todd Bertuzzi cards????? Lucifer better get the skates sharpened, hell just froze over!

1) Orr is REALLY dropping in the Hobby, with too many of his products coming out. The last one only sold for like $80 something

2) I don't collect Orr, I collect Bertuzzi

3) Priority Signings are starting to climb again, last Bertuzzi I seen sold for $37

4) Autograph Jersey's from UD are always fairly high sellers.

5) I needed to increase my Bertuzzi Collection

6) Was not receiving any offers on the Orr

7) Orr has no REAL print run, while I get one out of /25 and one out of /44

I knew why you did it Bozzy, just had to rattle your cage a bit. I sold every card out of those Titanium breaks except for a couple. I made out like a bandit on those breaks, I was surprised so many people were doing sets of inserts, parallels, jerseys, etc. If only they had autos in it, that stuff would have sold out in a heartbeat.

So any interest in that Thornton before it goes to EBAY?

The Thornton is nice, but right now I have to pass, thanks for the offer though man.

NHL Fan "does any collectors here know if there will be a Upper Deck Trilogy hockey coming out this fall? cause I thought I saw a from a earlier post that had a Upper Deck flyer and on it,it said there will be Trilogy hockey this fall and Victory hockey this summer."

Reading on the Beckett board, it's hard to give UD a chance anymore. I mean with all the crap that has happened to people, the fact that you buy a box and get two crappy jersey cards :mad: It makes me look at ITG a whole lot more. It's usually nothing but horror stories about UD CS.

Hmmm... I doubt the comic scene even brought in Ultimate, they're more of a comic shop. Not sure about Triple Play... your best bet is to give them a call in the morning.

I guess I understand why some people dislike Upper Deck when you heard so many stories of people getting the shaft but that is really the only product that I like. Not a fan of ITG, especially this year since I pretty much only collect Iginla. UD just has such better looking cards IMO and nicer designs. I only get singles too so I haven't had a horror story with my one box I've bought in the year 7 or 8 years.

I was just thinking to myself. I know that Upper Deck Ultimate was a super High end product. But it had so many redemption cards. With all of the auto's in SP Authentic, do you think there will be a ton of redemptions like Ultimate.. god i hope not.

ok what i found at at the show yest
SP will be between $90-100 a box to start
70% of the entire production run will go to Canada so its why the prices jumped high so fast
the show sold out of Ult NHL at $80-85 a pack a little over a week ago.
Ult NBA sold yest for $320 a box, $40 less then Dave and Adams. No high end boxes from last year were their, but some lower end stuff was still their.
I got some SP tins for Basketball for $40, $30 less then my store sells them for.
Wonder why this show is so popular.

The way I look at the hockey card companies is this:

**note, this is my thinking only and does not represent the views of Sportsology, CSC or any other company I work for**

- UD probably has been the most solid over the past 5 years. they've had some really bad sets, but there have also been some really good ones.
- ITG, to me, has been more of a "luxury" company than others. Other than ITG Action, they have not done a cheap brand like Topps Total or Victory that is "kiddy priced". They know their audience well and played it to perfection.
- Pacific was always a favourite of mine for pack-buying. I love that they weren't afraid to do Private Stock with "lesser name" players and that they paid so much attention to the retail/corner store marke, creating a retail brand that was more affordable. I miss them a lot.
- Topps has been up and down with me. I loved their Heritage sets and their emphasis on rookies in Bowman, but other products like Stad. club and Pristine never appealed to me.

i haven't been 'round as much because most of my hobby concentration has been recording my collection more than anything else. I've set a goal to have a card from every hockey set (mainstream) ever produced. I have all of the Parkies and I'm missing i think 2 Topps from the 50s. I'm also missing a bunch of stuff from recent premium sets like Premier and Ultimate. Actually just did a trade with one of my editors in the States for an Ultimate Collection Heatley base and Brodeur WCH.

Another reason is because my main hobby goals are quickly ending. I now have 2 Lemieux and Brodeur jsy pieces (1 AS, 1 team each), two Thorntons, a Samsonov, 2 Selannes (1 Jets one Ducks), 2 Zhamnovs (both Chic, one 50/50 2-color), and a bunch of others. The only one that's really a hot pursuit right now is Hawerchuk, and I'm in the midst of negotations for that card.

I also tend to do more hockey shopping around Expo time.

The other concentration has been in baseball. I've been picking up older stuff, in particular Brooklyn Dodgers pieces. I have three so far (Burleight Grimes pants w/pinstripe, Duke Snider pants, Pee Wee Reese bat). The Snider piece is on the same card as a Whitey Ford jsy.

I am very much looking forward, though, to the UD All-World set. Here's to hoping I can get my third Thornton 'graph :D

I am pleased to see the Fort Wayne Komets of the UHL are leading the Muskegon Fury 2-0 at the end of the first period. Minor league hockey is so great, and It means so much to see the komets succeed after a rough year of injuries, and not having any NHL players (because most of the other UHL teams did)

Anybody get a redemption card from ud ultimate i got a Roy auto patch card and when i went to redeem it they said it will be 12-14 weeks sorry but i didn't pay 150 for a redemption card that i won't get in 3 months.Anybody need a Roenick auto Patch i got one for trade let me know Thanks
