Flesh - Go to a store rather then ebay for that. I bought one of those for $120 CDN..most stores have all their NHL stuff on sale at like 20-40% off because they aren't selling well due to the lockout. I want to get a Messier one as well. Hopefully the Wales Conference will come at some point so I can get a Neely and Bourque

Can't wait for 2006, hopefully we will have hockey this year. I didn't even finish a season in 2005, partly cause there was no hockey and partly cause I didn't like the game at first until I decide to just keep playing it until I liked it. I just signed him to my team. I am on my second season in Dynasty Mode. I picked him up to try and win the calder trophy, but he is hurt for 2and a half Months. Some dude for the penguins has 24 points in 28 games and is a rookie defensemen. So I won't be getting the calder trophy this season.

That Bret Hull (#ABH) card is from 00-01 UD e-Card Prizes as Beckett listed it and it does book at $60. I don't see the Gretz in that same year's listing. Maybe the Gretz is from another year?

EDIT: A Messier and Brodeur like your Hull are on ebay right now, ending in under 4 and 5 hours.

the Gretzky is a show redemption e-volve. the e-cards were given out at several shows in 2001, including the Expo, the AS game and the National.

When I last checked with UD on the cards, maybe a year or two ago, not all the cards had been redeemed. since the program was 4 years ago, UD probably felt it was safe to send those, since the secondary market perception probably had been that all were distributed.

I have never seen this card priced, but I think it's fair to say that it would go into the three digits. I think I can safely say around 125-150, considering that it was a pretty big longshot. there were also Autograph E-Volves, and I believe combos as well.

btw, UD has really screwed the pooch this time. They have ruined what they made the buyback auto into. Now they are just previously autographed cards that they purchased (or had in stock)

Also.. The card shop in town just got a couple case's of SPA and I was thinking about picking up a box or two. But he was saying it was gonna be around $160-$180 a box. He's the only place in town, and he's a real good guy and I want to "support" his card shop. But at $180.00 a box, his price is looking a little steep. What would you guys do? Whats the going rate for a box of SPA in your neck of the woods? I'm I just crazy?

OilDrop - 180 is steep. There are no card shops within 90+ miles from me, that's why stuart is picking my boxes up for me. I have seen guys saying they are paying between 150-165 canadian for them, so if you can get the low end price maybe not to bad.

But again I have seen some Horrible breaks

Thanks for the input sillshock. I know the feeling of not having any cardshop around, the city I live in (pop. 40,000+) was without a cardshop for 4 years. I think the nearest cardshops beside the one I go to now, are in or around Edmonton. I couldn't drive 500km just for hockey cards so I was really happy when the new cardshop opened up and I try to buy all my stuff from him. But, I know if I don't buy a box I'll buy at least a box worth in packs, so it looks like I'll be buying a box on Monday. I'll post the results then.:)

Man the stuff is sickly priced. $115-125 at the show when most figured would start at around $90-95 for today.

UD suxs my buybacks were in the same spot in both boxes as were my Rookie Redemptions

the Redemptions werent bad TB and the Wild Card.

I think all I really want out of SPA is the Iginla SOTT and the Iginla/Regehr SOTT. I''l probly pick up the Regehr, Lombardi and Lanny McDonald single SOTT and maybe the Flames Rookie Redemption if I can get them for a good price. Then we'll see what happens for the rest of the Iginls cards but there seems to be lots of low numbered stuff I won't be able to get.

Not all the players were numbered to the same number, for example Turco was out of 200. With Pacific the jersey cards were always numbered out of something different.
