Just got the phone with upper deck and he has said that Patrick Roy has commited to signing he changed on my redemption list my Signature patch from shipped back to my waiting list and said that I can keep the cards they send me.Big Big props to upper deck for being this generous.I hear alot of people saying they don't like upper deck just thought i would show something positive.Thanks Again

You gotta think, UD will put out an 05/06 SPA, and they will undoubtedly have a REAL Crosby RC in that series as a regular issue in the set. So why in any way would either the Pitt. Redemption or a Wild Card be Crosby? I don't think it will be at all. I think the majority of these Redemption cards will be for players drafted in the 04 Draft (and previous drafts), and any players that were drafted in the 05 Draft (that make the NHL this season), will be in regular issues this year, so there's no point in making them part of the Redemption program.

Troy, who's your dealer? There's NO WAY anyone can say who is going to be on the card. Malkin isn't even a guarnatee to play in Pitts. this year. If I'm not mistaken, he hasn't signed a contract, and with the Stink the REL is putting up, he might not even be eligible to go to North America.

There are a number of Pitt. possibilities, such as Michel Ouellet and Ryan Whitney, but there is no guarantee yet of anyone being anything. Either UD is BSing your dealer, or your dealer is BSing you.

Shakes, the Chi card could also be Cam Barker or Brent Seabrook

You may be right about the dealer. Most are full of chit, anyways! :rolleyes: I was told by him the UD rep said that the Pittsburgh card will not be Crosby! It will be for a previously drafted player by the Pens when they lace em up (most likely Malkin if he were to play this year) He also told the dealer that one of the wild cards would be the Crosby! I won't say which one he told me, till I get one! That may be all BS who knows, but for $20 I'm gonna try it! Better than several hundreds for something we don't know about, for sure!

Yeah, but i'm not sure if I'll want to get rid of the set. Now that i've been doing it for a while, it's grown on me. They're nice cards, great players, and i've gotten a good bargain on some of them :D

well, I wouldn't be selling them unless my offer was accepted. I'd be taking offers on the figures and have them commit to buying them only if I win.

Out of 5 parallels in this product, just cruel, nobody but kids bust this stuff, so secondary market on those is going to be ridiculous as they'll NEVER show up.

My Dad's friend who deals in football cards told me that he is friends with the owner. So I went over there and found that deal! The rest of the stuff was priced about the same some higher. That's what i didn't understand. I got an email that confirmed my order, and said they had the right to cancel any order anytime. So they may see the mistake that they are losing big on this and can the order. Maybe I will get luckey and receive the box in 2-3 business days.

A week ago I picked up 2 packs of BAP at the cardshop and pulled a Smyth 2nd period parallel (15/50), a Lemieux Class action (298/299). and auto's of Steve Ott, and Nick Boynton. Not the best break, Smyth was nice but still not worth the $17.00 a pack I paid. Anyways today I stopped by there to pick up a 1,600 count box to get rid of the stacks of cards on my dresser and gave into temptation and am I ever glad I did.

I am thinking of starting a Yahoo! Fantasy Hockey League, and was wondering if any of you hockey loving guys would be interested?

I figure the ante would be a card for nothing less than $50 BV (if you wanna go higher thats fine), with prize distribution depending on the # of participants.

I would hold all cards, as being commissioner and would store them safely until season's end, where they shall be disperssed to the winners.

Live Draft would be a preferred choice of Drafting, but we could also hold an extended draft, right here is this thread.

If anyone is interested in doing this, please post! I would like to run the league with at least 8 guys, but I figure we can do a 12 team league with this bunch! :D
