I don't have many singles Espin, but I have busted half a dozen packs. Are you doing the inserts too? Also, the Buck or Two has retail packs. Still buying Hemsky?

Yep, I'm going to grab Hemsky's Powerplay jersey card and I need his Priority Signings auto, but other than that I've got most Hemsky stuff that I want.

Damn!!! Even though the Liles I want is one their website, all the Liles set 1 jerseys have been taken. I think I'm going to cancel the Aebischer and ask for a phone call when the Liles Set 2 jerseys become available.

Lets just give it a little time and see if Aebischer can actually keep his starting job :rolleyes:

The Crosby patch is from the jersey he wore at the 2003 Canada vs Russia challenge. Crosby got 3 assists in that game :)

I don't like the 04-05 UD Auto jerseys. The listing for that Roy Patch... the guy has is in the title and description as 1/25 when you can clearly see (and I didn't even have to look) it is numbered to 32 (wins the previous season).

As for the Power Marks. I'd say they will be similar to the Under Glass Autographs. Is there an Aebischer Power Marks???

Yes Troy, but living in the UK it's pretty difficult to get to. ;)

I've already got a bunch of signed hockey cards, a signed Caps jersey and also a signed game worn Dinamo jersey so I'm all good at the moment. But it'd sure be nice to say hello to him again.

Actually it is, I have seen that go over book. The Cam Ward one goes for 60$+ right now. Glad I got mine for 15$, don't know how either of them book so low but Beckett is out to lunch on most of their prices

Well I bit the bullet and picked up the Power Marks Iginla off ebay. The first one ended last Saturday and I dropped a $30 bid on it a couple hours before it ended cause I was going to visit the family. I won today's for $46. This is actually the first time I went and bid high on a card before I have any idea where it'll price. What do you guys think?

gratzi - I hate bidding on the first auctions of a card because they usually end the highest. But, you never know it could turn out to be short printed. There's times I've waited and wound up regretting it. At least your getting the card and don't have to worry about it now.

I'm thinking since those cards are 1:200 packs, chances are it's going to be a little harder to pull so that's why I bid so high. You never know, Iginla auto's usually book for $20-$30 to start so even if I do end up payment over it won't be lots over.

My guess as to the reason they traded for him is because they were unhappy with Bartovic's progress and after one of Bufalo's goalies is traded they will need someone in the Rochester net.

Those must be sticker autos, I can't imagine Milan would sign cards that were not him. The good thing is I won't be getting any more of his cards since the Sabres just traded him to Chicago for goaltender Michael Lieghton. (Why another goalie?)
Does anybody know anything about Lieghton? TIM or ROCCO?????

Leighton played a good portion of last year for the Hawks due to Thibault's injury. Not sure how well he did, and not sure what he did in 04-05.

03-04 he played in 34 games with a stellar record of 6-18-8-3. :D GAA of 2.99 and a SV% of .900

I'd be willing to bet he came to Buffalo for a backup role. Miller and Biron are both ahead of him as well as Noronen. According to TSN.ca he is with their minor team.

My guess, as to why they would trade for another goalie. Is they have 1 if not 2 deals in the works for the goalies they have now, and want a reliable back-up or a good AHL goalie. Excpet Noronen or Biron (if not both) to be moved soon!

Jagr will only win the Ross if his linemates stay healthy, and we all know that straka is a risk to be injured.

My vote for rookie of the year, so far, is Ovechkin. Between Cros and Ovech, AO is doing a lot more with a lot less, plus his team is actually winning games. Ward will get consideration as long as Lehtonen is out. Phaneuf, the way he's playing, could even get some Norris votes.

I think, however, that the NHL will go with co-winners this year unless someone is <i>that</i> clear cut a choice.

Pack 3: Treasured Swatches Kovalchuk #/275

I just grabbed the top 3 packs from a fresh box and got three game used, including a patch. What luck!
Traded the Lupul for a Nystrom Autofacts copper redemption, and traded the Kovalchuck for couple 03-04 SPA SOTT (Fedorov and Comrie) since I'm trying to do the set. I'll post a scan of the patch later.

Went to milwaukee admrials game and bought a pack of ITG heros & prospects..... pulled a Ovechekin :D Not bad at all for my first pack of the year! Cant wait to find a some money and get to a hobby store with some Hockey packs

it's going okay, I don't have the PC hooked up yet at my house so i've at the parents, i forgot to put in my weekend fantasy lineups while I was at work :D

my brother and I might be picking up a box of something tomorrow so look for a live break. We're looking at Powerplay as it's uber cheap but temptations for Artifacts MAY kick in :)

and most importantly, nothing really is exciting me in hockey cards right now. I'm in the midst of clearing out my common boxes, trying to judge what stays and what goes.

I've been also sorting out old sets to see how many cards i'm missing. I'm actuallypretty close on some.

The only collections that will be untouched are:
- card from every set ever produced
- Brett Lindros career
- Jets
- Mario Lemieux
- Martin Brodeur

Also expanding the Roenick collection. will probably start listing on my website.
