Stopped by the local money pit today after work. Only UD series one was retail so instead I grabbed the last 6 packs of 03-04 SP Authentic since I've been having good luck with it. Nothing but base. I walked around abit, and decided that I didn't want to leave without getting at least an auto, so I grabbed 2 packs of 05-06 BAP and 2 packs of 04-05 SP Authentic since they were right beside it. BAP auto's Drury and McCauley, YAY! :rolleyes: Opened the first pack of SP Authentic and noticed the thick card was a little two white to be a decoy. You know what that means, Zedeno Chara Rookie Review Patch!!! Would have preffered a Ryan Smyth but I aint complaining. It's the nicest patch card I've ever pulled.

i had some decent cash in paypal so i figured id go as high as 20 on it cause i dont have any turco patches and ive wanted one so it was worth it to me.

i figured it would get outta control and get closer to 50 or so cause its #ed to 99 and its just a really nice patch.

im happy with it , but yeah 2 bucks woulda been better but hell i aint complainin.
funny thing was i put in 15 as my high bid and nobody bid up on it , usually the last 30 minutes things go crazy but nobody went after it.

They open up the package, and estimate a value on the item. They then will charge tax for what the item is worth. It sucks. It is much better to put gift especially at this time of the year

all base 1-84 (mostly alphabetical by team except biron is 84, and one of my colorado players is before buffallo... go figure) i have no idea where the base ends

wellll... i didn't get a spezza card, no sakic either... and obviously no crosby or ovechkin. there is only a small smattering of stars in the single diamond set. but i DO like the fact that it's now, single, double, triple, quad - and not 4 versions of each guy - i think they did that one year and it drove me nuts (...of course the parallels suck).

i like that the diamonds are across the bottom, and there aren't three "empty" diamonds on the single cards. my emerald leetch is just ugly. UGLY. seriously - a waste.

the jersey cards aren't the best design.. but i guess that allows for the triple patch. personally i just like the single patch with different colors...

i did ok with my Carter. i at least like him, the other three rookies, i couldn't be bothered. and i did well with the Kovy quad. that should fetch a decent trade at least.

lastly - my gemography is pretty nice. the auto is pretty clear. it sucks that it doesn't seem to be worth more the $5 on ebay (based on the prices of Esche right now).

verdict: don't tell anyone, but i'd probably buy another box... if only i didn't have a (near?) complete base set. and money concerns.. i'll wait til after christmas and see.
