Question about the swatches on the 05/06 UD jersey cards... I've been shopping for a Kiprusoff, but I've seen three versions:

1) Regular (pictured in red jersey), with black or red swatch (I'm pretty sure it is from a black Flames jersey since the majority of the swatches are black)
2) Regular (pictured in red jersey), with a white swatch (?)
3) # / 15 (pictured in black jersey), I know for certain this is from a red jersey because of the patches that I've seen

I can tell you this for sure, the one /15 is a patch card. Do you have pictures of what you mean about the other cards?

Decided to put my Nokelainen /10 on ebay. One of the Series 1's /10 went for close to $50and then another for close to $30. Looks like this is the first one from BD on ebay so I might do pretty good.

i'm still really torn on this set. i really like it, but i'm trying to figure out the best way financially to go about getting the extra cards i want... there's so many rookies. and the rest of the cards ain't worth much...

i wonder how much of this $$ value will hold up for. it seems really inflated :( i wish they had some single diamond rookies... scale it all the way through with crosby and ovechkin being the obvious quads... i'm thinking talbot and franzen (for example) should be singles... back like the first bd set.

...not that UD isn't rolling in the cash right now...

After seeing the pics you left...

The pictures for the jersey/patch variations seem to all be different. As for the swatches, I think they come from the white away jersey... take a look at one. As for the red/gray, I'm stumped.

Hey thanks for the try rocco, it's pretty much never going to get fixed but I appreciate the fact you tried for us.

Avafan- Stuart broke a few boxes of UD BAP, supposedly, and said he would give me the Iginla auto and iginla/Marleau for half of what they both ended last at on ebay which was $20 for the two. I mean it's only $20 and I think I ended up getting the 2 of them for $30-35 but it's the principal of the matter.

press plate = the thing used to print the cards.
basically, card sized piece of metal that the ink roller presses to create the cards you've come to love.

That is one goofy way to list a card. The redemption is from Artifacts, the card is from Series 1 and says the photo may be different, AND its already been redeemed.

The back of this card says this Anaheim jersey is from first game of the 1997-98 NHL "Game ONe", the two game series in Tokyo, Japan.

These must have been special jerseys worn only for that event. I wonder if anyone can find a pic.....?

I figure a 24-count box of MVP will go around 60 bucks here. a 36-count box, which they may do, would be around the 70-80 mark in my estimation.

I'm going to talk about the Moose conspiracy theory more on the next Hockey Hour episode, but the basis is simple - over the last few years, the AHL teams have generally moved closer to their affiliates. Really cuts down on the travel budget. The McVicar move makes me think that there could be a little bit more interest in Vancouver moving their team west.

The only reason for Vancouver not to go through with a move to Victoria or Seattle would be concern about drawing power in those locales.

I've actually been happy with how Vancouver has let us keep our own uni. style. Very few teams in the A can make that claim like the Amerks.

On a personal level, it's been weird cheering for the 'Nucks, since they were one of our most hated teams back in the days of the Jets, especially after the playoffs in 92-93.

First off, thanks to those who posted or emailed me regarding my grandfather. Much appreciated. Got some good news today... he has consulted the doctor and has scheduled surgery for this Thursday. Procedure should improve his condition, even if its just for a short period. Wishing for the best and hopefully everything will work out.

sweet news.

i just found out that my g/fs dad is interested in a hockey game while we are in florida this christmas...

tampa is only an 1 1/2 hrs from Kissimmee. on the 28th lightning vs. canadiens... 30th lght vs bruins!

i'm so stoked. i hope we can go. i e-mailed the team and asked if there are any specials or anything for out of town fans... considering it's tampa - we might actually get something lol

When you get there check the phone book, I think there's an add for half price on a second ticket or something. If you get a chance, go to a Panthers.... that rink is unreal! Makes Ralph Anglested (SP?) look like a regular rink and MTS Center look like a frozen pond (I hate that rink)
