Is anybody excited about ITG Heroes and Prospects, it's the next release. More from Crosby, Ovechkin, Nittymaki and first cards from John Tavares, Al Montoya, Angelo Esposito. I liked this set last year and kind of regret not making the set so I might go for it this year. I think Tavares even has an autograph card, isn't this kid, like 16?

I gave in and bought a box of UD Series 1. I got 181/200 base cards. I also pulled Tkachuk & St. Louise Hometown Heroes, Sakic Playoff Performers, Domi School Of Hard Knocks, Naslund & St. Louise Goal Rush, Lindros & Yashin Game Jersey, Murray Shooting Stars, as well as Perry, Leneveu, Nordgren, Helbring, & Crosby/Perry YG's.

I was pleased overall, as I never had any doubles or Quality control issues. Most of the cards I have listed here and before are for trade to finish my set, or towards Oiler Cards.

Interesting question about the new SP Authentic coming out in Jan/Feb! I was thinking about this a few minutes ago, and was wondering about the autographed rookies #'d to 900 in this product. If they already have serial #'d rookies in 04/05, then would an auto'd Crosby/Ovechkin etc in the new 05/06 stuff be considered a rooke? I don't think it will be! :eek: :(

(Dec. 15, 2005) – Every hockey fan will have the chance to vote for their team’s greatest player – past or present and determine who would win in a match up of the 1983/84 Edmonton Oilers vs. the 1953/54 Detroit Red Wings. Thanks to Upper Deck, NHL fans will not only have the chance to vote on who they think would take the title, but also their team’s greatest player with their selections making up what’s believed to be the sports trading card industry’s first-ever fan-selected set.

Titled the All-Time Greatest Collection, Upper Deck will offer the set at retail in fall 2006 and it will include one player from each NHL Team, six of the best NHL rookies ever and one card highlighting the NHL’s best single-season team as voted on by NHL fans.

Voting begins Dec. 23, 2005 at www.TheAllTimeGreatest.com and continues through the end of the NHL regular season in April 2006. The players as voted on by NHL fans and the Greatest NHL Team of All-Time will be announced during the NHL playoffs. On the ballot are four players from each NHL team, 30 celebrated NHL rookies and in a weekly-bracketed tournament format are 16 NHL teams from seven decades, ready for votes. Wayne Gretzky’s Oilers and Gordie Howe’s Red Wings meet in the first round. the diff between retail and hobby packs is only one game used card pre box and NO auto`s cards but RC are 1 in 4 packs just like the hobby

there are 2 jerseys per retail box in UD series 1

The SP Authentic Rookie Redemptions from the 04/05 SP Authentic will not be rookie cards as they are not part of the regular set, and will be numbered on the back as inserts (RR-1, RR-2, etc.). Unfortunately a lot of people were buying up the 04/05 SP Authentic redemptions thinking they would be the only "true" rookie cards of those players, but instead they will not be listed as rookies, just inserts. The 05/06 rookie cards are the true rookies of Crosby, Ovechkin, Phaneuf, etc. There are a lot of ticked off people regarding this.

Yeah, 12 boxes. His info was from a guy who bought a case form him...ended up w/ 3-4...I can't remember what he said. (For Detroiters, it's Sportscards USA by Lakeside Mall in Sterling Hgts.)
