i really like the HP - especially that some of the legends are in color... the was a mahovolich auto, i think it had a pretty reasonable BIN, if funds were in excess, i totally would've bought it.

One website has both versions for sale with the retail one being $20 cheaper and under item description it says almost the same as hobby but then it doesn't state what the difference is. They both have two jersey cards per box and both have rookie seeded 1:4 packs. Any help would be appreciated.

Man is work slow today. I'm the only one on the editorial side that's in today and I'm supposed to be downloading photos from our server, but it's jammed and i can only do one a minute.

Retail is the way to go if you just want rookies. retail gives you 2 jerseys per box (regular jersey set and/or shooting stars), 6 rookies, and inserts, plus a bonus insert set inserted in each pack.

Hobby gives you 3 jerseys per box(regular jersey set, shooting stars, big playmakers, generations dual and triple), Notable Numbers autos 1:288 packs serial numbered to players jersey number, patch cards 1:2500 packs serial numbered to 15, and HG Glossy base set parallels 1:864 packs serial numbered to 10

I just got back from the Sabres/Lightning game and had a blast! Tampa is about an hour and 45 minutes away, but it was so easy to get to. The St. Pete Times arena is really nice. I definetly want to go again, even though we sat in second level, in the corner and still paid $119 per seat! Oh yeah, the Sabres won 4 to 1.

DMM77 - the print run is 200. They actually sliced the puck horizontally to make these cards so there are cards that are just plain black pieces that are signed (since they are a slice of the inside of the rubber). I had one of these plain black pieces already in my collection and thought this would be a great upgrade :)

I've seen 2 with the other side of the puck (the youngstars game logo from that year).. those ones were sweet! :D But I'm quite happy with this one since the autograph is contained on the puck piece, as opposed to those others I've seen where the autograph runs over on to the card.

Grrrrr, I'm pretty pissed off right now. Sold a Crosby RC for a buddy on ebay, with some insurance and tracking number. Guy sends in a complaint to paypal saying he didn't get it. Canada Posts site says "International item has left the origin country" 2 weeks ago and that's it. Stupid Canada Post!

And then another PP complaint today as well. Sold something and the buyer paid 2 weeks ago today, sent from Winnipeg to NJ. Said 2 weeks was plenty of time and wanted a refund. I emailed the buyer stating how in normal mail time it takes 2 weeks or a little more to the US and this is the Holidays so mail is slower. Neither person tried contacting me first just straight to Paypal to complain. The second one worries me cause the person bid on my item and didn't pay for a few days but bid and paid for other things, including the same thing she won from me but bundled with other stuff. I emailed her saying if she didn't decide to pay I would be forced to leave a neg. Kinda worried she might be holding a grudge or something. :mad: :mad: :mad:

Tim, I think you COULD possibly see the NHL game include the minor leagues as well. I've always liked it in my games and I think MVP 05 did a great job involving all minor league teams.

One of the major problems is getting licensing from the Leagues. Everyone wants money for their name and EA would only pursue it if it meant lots of $$$ in return. I couldn't see a stand alone game but I wouldn't rule out the NHL/AHL thing. I'm sure people have looked into it.

So i stopped at shoppers today and they had 2 packs of UD series 1 left. I had some cash left over from christmas and felt lucky so i figured I'd pick them up. I got them home, keeping in mind this is almost 2 hours later.
First pack i opened has a shanahan shooting stars jersey. Not bad not bad my luck is still running but that has to be it right.
So I open the second pack thinking it'll be a dud. What do I pull?

Another freaking CROSBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now I have 2 up for adoption. I am looking to sell 1 and possibly trade 1.

Josh Harding H&P Auto... STEAL at 2$... the other 8 of them that have been listed went for 16$-30$ :D Also helps it was listed so poorly. This puts me back at needing 2 Harding cards to have them all, a 1/1 and his 01-02 Pats team set card

busted a few of these blaster boxes, c/o my mom who got me one for Christmas and a couple since.

2 rookies each.
and a jersey in 2 of the 3.
my mom got a jersey in 2 of her 3 aswell.
Best rook I got was Richards, also got, parros, foy, dallman, howard, and...someone else crappy.

I've got another one of these kickin around, from Christmas, but, I've got nowhere to put the cards after they get opened, so, I won't be until I remedy that.

Whatever happened to the idea UD had where if you waited X amount of time for a redemption, and it still hasn't happened, you could pick a substitute card from a list they provide? Is that in affect, or is it in the makings still?

I got an Iginla card off ebay today and it was a little damaged, I knew it was cause they listed that in the auction. Anyone have any luck sending in cards to be replaced? I don't know if I should try or not, it's the Artifacts auto /100 and it's 100/100 so that's kidna cool. Would I get the same number back? Any help would be appreicated.

From what I hear it takes longer to get serial numbered cards replaced by UD because they have to get the card stamped with the serial number.

Post something on the beckett hobby talk board and see what people have to say

not necessarily true. I'm pretty sure the replacements are un-numbered and the stamp the correct serial number on it before sending it back.

Proof:
I sent back an 01-02 Mask Dual Patch of Koivu /50. I got a Jersey and Patch of him from the same set in return with the same exact serial number which makes no sense because the jersey and patches are serial numbered to 100.

I sent a damaged Dual patch /50 and received a Dual Jersey and Patch with the same serial number /50. It makes no sense because the Dual Jersey and Patch cards are serial numbered to 100
