At least I'd be able to go see Liles play if that happened... but I'd much rather he stay in an Avs sweater.

It makes no sense for the Avs to take a chance with a guy that has a $4.5mil label on him who is also struggling. I still don't think Aebischer has got his fair shake. Q has created the mess that the Avs are in and he doesn't know how to fix it. Its simple though, give Aebischer 2-3 starts in a row. If he doesn't pull it together, deal him. If he does, stick with him. He proved he can be a #1 last year and its a matter of finding his game. I think a big problem is confidence, going into the game knowing that if he lets up 1 bad goal Q is going to take a hissy fit, pull him, and bench him for 2 weeks. What does that solve? Absolutely nothing. Tell the guy he is getting the next 2-3 starts no matter what. Tell him not to worry about getting yanked unless the game gets out of hand. Try to motivate the guy.

btw, sorry if I am rambling. I'm really pissed off at how this situation has been handled because I know what its like. My best games were when our backup goalie didn't show, because I knew I didn't have to worry about getting yanked. Q has gotten inside Aebischer's head and that is the problem.

Ok, so I finally took that box of UD series 1 back to TRU, the one filled with 03/04 packs, 3 of them opened.. The lady at returns looked it over and digave me a refund without any questions.. even the opened packs (I should have checked for any good cards, even the st louis patch, although it's on ebay for .99, no bids)

Have any of you sent in a card to be graded? I am seriously considering sending my Crosbys away. I don't know of turnaround time and what not. Also could it hurt the value? Any info anyone has is greatly appreciated

if they get KILLED in the grading, I'd say anything below 8, the value MIGHT go down, but, if it gets a 9.5, you're going to cash in like you won the lottery.

you also have to factor in the cost of grading into the choice, and what you're going to do with it.
I've got a few cards I've thought about sending in, but, I don't want to sell them and it just costs too much for me, especially since it's not for re-sale or anything.

I had a few extra YG's and we have a card show here during the Viking Cup, I'm not sure how many of you know what that is but it is an international tournament where several of the top players in the league now have played. Some of which are Hasek, Czerkawski (sp) and Lehtonen (sp) who I spent new years with a couple of years ago as he was billeting at a classmates house.

All in all I have really come out ahead in this series, and completed the base as well thanks to DM. I guess it's safe to say I am hooked again:D

I have the other Roy from that set, those Winning Materials were so nice! I have an Amonte one too somewhere, but I lost one of my white shoe box card boxes that had a good 100 cards in it.... some VERY nice trade bait in that box

That sucks. I have only really obtained good trade bait within the last year, then I started to re-focus my collection onto the Oilers and the odd other card Like the Brodeur and Roy. I have always had luck with packs but never as much as I've had with UD Series 1

My best luck always comes from the cheap packs. Like when I pulled my Lemieux auto card from 00-01 Topps. At the time all I collected was Penguin cards so I was kind of happy. That was a few months before I started collecting Turco. Still have that Lemieux card. Most of my tradebait is from 01-02 and 00-01. In that box I had all my old goalie rookies like Aebischer, Raycroft, Dipietro, and some Kovalchuk cards

In the states shipping is $9 for upto 2 boxes. I can use the flat rate box rate with delivery confirmation number.
In canada shipping will be $12 for upto 2 boxes or $14 for three boxes. I will ship thru UPS(Brown) so we can track package. I will put on the form that it is a gift (which it is) so no duty should be attached. We shouldn't ship more than three boxes of SPX per address to keep customs from looking at packages.

DDK - seats were decent... it was tough to see the far corner (we were on the goal line - row j), going a bit higher up would've been a better view - to see right over the glass. otherwise the the plexiglass by the players bench messed up the view (hard to see through the reflection..), i did spend a fair bit of time trying to take pictures. but just watching the game - it give the seats an 8 out of 10.

Even if ronark marks it as a gift on a large single shipment to Troy, chances are it will get docked for duty and brokerage fees. Your chances of getting off with the boxes being gifts are probably better if you do a series of smaller shipments. Just a thought.

That's what I thought, but I was just on the UD site, and many of the Thornton's were edemptions, so who knows? :confused: Playing overseas didn't help matters either. Could be either of the two,or both even.
