Tim, your picture raises a question.. that jersey has laces in the neck, whereas the white jersey in the auction you linked doesn't, and on the Moose website they have pictures of Maxime in his white jersrey, with no laces. I wish I could find the link to the auction that Rob won for that black jersey

No patches is VERY strange, since this is his first and only time with the Moose/Canucks. Perhaps a jersey was made quickly after the trade, and then patched after his first game?

Tim, here's some info

Hey there,

The Toyota and All Star patches were not put on the jerseys until after the start of the season. The home jerseys got the patches first, and then the black road jerseys had the patches applied a couple of weeks later. All black jerseys had the patches applied to them, this means that if a player was called up when they didn't have the patches, his jersey would have had them applied when they were available. The Moose have had a ton of player movement this year due to seemingly unending injuries at the NHL level, so they had to have lots of jerseys ready for last second player call ups.

Not sure why Ouellet's black jersey would have the lace and not the white one. I know he did not use the lace at home, as I saw him wearing the white jersey with no lace in it. The collars of this years new Reebok Moose jerseys are smaller than past years, and a few players (Moscevsky was another) took the neck lace out.

You could check the Moose site (www.moosehockey.com)for photo evidence of when they added the patches to the jerseys. There are photos from every home game, so you can see what game the patches were added for the home jerseys, and then give an extra two weeks for the black jerseys. (Looks like the first game for the "patched" home jerseys was November 17th against the Houston Aeros...)

Didn't notice in the auction it said I was bidding on #____/1499 but it didn't say anything about the color. Also the auction stated is comes in a penny sleeve and a top loader but it came in a penny sleeve taped between two top loaders, luckily it was in good condition. You guys think there is anything I can do about the card being pictured wrong?

and that Vintage jersey WAS on auctions.nhl.com, but it didn't go for auction with the rest of the team. you'd have to check somewhere to see if he was backup that night, but I would bet that he wasn't, one was made up, and they're going to keep it just in case he's there for the next home vintage game.. whenever that may be, I think they only use them against original 6 teams

and that Vintage jersey WAS on auctions.nhl.com, but it didn't go for auction with the rest of the team. you'd have to check somewhere to see if he was backup that night, but I would bet that he wasn't, one was made up, and they're going to keep it just in case he's there for the next home vintage game.. whenever that may be, I think they only use them against original 6 teams

Anyone have any recommendations for how I should protect the franchises set once it's complete? I'd like to have them in the same type of holder, possibly having different thicknesses. I've heard bad things about screwdowns, which I have my Bourque Stick/auto that I may have to change :)

I'm looking at the Beckett right now and it looks like they missed putting in the RC multiplier.

Gold multipliers are
Stars 10X to 25X Base Hi.
Rookies 1.25X to 3X Base Hi.
Print run 100 #'d sets

and Platinums at
Stars 30X to 80X Base Hi.
Print run 25 #'d sets

I'd say since the multiplier for the Platinum is approximatly 3X what it is for the Gold cards of the Stars that it would be close to 3X for the rookies as well. Probably around 3.75X to 9 or 10X for the rookies. However their are a few exceptions, Crosby and Ovechkin being two of them and the price will probably change based on the popularity of the player. Thats my opinion.

Well that would make it $640, which you wouldn't get anywhere near that. My guess is you would get about $60-80.

mdoyle - thanks... watching it.I would pass on it. If you win it and redeem it, you can request a replacement card after a certain amount of time, but you may never see that exact card. Some people have been waiting on redemptions for years.
