That's more then I've paid for any one of my PFs (sans the Hulk), but I love how well Ross' artwork was translated into the statue.

It's a kit. I posted pics a few pages back. It doesn't come painted...and that's where a lot of the $425 cost would come from....having it professionall painted.

You can probably buy all the Fathom stuff in TPB form... would be a lot easier that way... maj will have a hard time figuring out if the issue # he grabs is from series 1, 2, or 3... especially with all the variant covers out there for this series.

I don't do TPB...plus I have Issues #1 - 9 of VOL 1 on the way.....and since VOL 3 hasn't started yet....that shouldn't be a prob. :D


Easiest way to tell the difference between VOL 1 & VOL 2 is the LABEL.....VOL 1 was published by Image and VOL 2 was Aspen only....so you can tell the difference that way. ;)

Cory, you need to play the game more.

I've been in a few tornaments in Marvel vs Capcom 2 and those characters are absolutely not the best characters to pick.

The best characters are (if you're experienced in the game):
Magneto
Psylocke
Dr. Doom or Sentinel

My team usually consists of:
Silver Samurai
Akuma
Sentinel or Magneto (I'm still trying to get the hang of Mags).

Cable is definetly one of the cheapest characters to pick in the game, and an experienced player will easily beat him. I usually don't have any problems beating someone with Cable. :)

I don't think you have an accent either... you just talk so fast and are asking the next question before the previous one has even been answered... :D

You realize that embroidery is basically a ton of tiny stitches of thread that make up the image right? Are you having them do it on the jacket or on the mask?

The Rock Chalk Chant is perhaps the most distinctive cheer in all of college sports. Some have likened it to a Gregorian chant, but anyone who has been in Allen Fieldhouse and heard the chant start low, then build and roll over the crowd knows that it is much, much more.

The "Rock Chalk" chant dates to 1866, when it was adopted by the University Science Club. A chemistry professor, E.H.S. Bailey and some of his associates were returning to Lawrence from Wichita on a train. As the story goes, they passed the time by trying to create a rousing cheer. The sound of the train's wheels on the rails suggested a rhythm and a cadence to them. At first, the cheer was "Rah, Rah, Jayhawk, KU" repeated three times.

Even though KU didn't have a football team until four years later, KU students quickly took up the chant. Later, an English professor suggested "Rock Chalk," in place of "Rah, Rah" because it rhymed with Jayhawk and because it was symbolic of the limestone, also known as chalk rock, surrounding Mount Oread, the site of the Lawrence Campus. It became the official cheer of the University in 1897.

Teddy Roosevelt pronounced the Rock Chalk Chant the greatest college chant he'd ever heard. It was used by Kansas troops fighting in the Philippines in 1899, the Boxer Rebellion in China, and World War II. At the Olympic games in 1920, the King of Belgium asked for a typical American college yell. The assembled athletes agreed on KU's Rock Chalk and rendered it for His Majesty.

The words to the chant are simple. "Rock Chalk, Jayhawk, KU" repeated five times. The chant is special not because of the words, but because of the tone in which it is chanted and the distinctive cadence in which each verse is delivered. Never rearrange your collections at 3AM. I was moving some things around, and I got careless. the Takli FF Thing and the Lead invisible woman both fell. Thing broke off his right leg. Sue bent over on the base. after layers of superglue, Thing is back up (luckily it was a clean break), and sue is bent over the way she should be :D, but hte paint has chipped off.

CORY (and everyone else)....DON'T USE SUPER-GLUE on statues....the bond doesn't work well...what you want to get is 5-min. Epoxy (sells at WM in auto section)...it BONDS much better with Plastic/Porcelain/Vinyl/Resin (you can also buy 1 min or 3 min Epoxy if you are even less patient)

My buddy and I got there early and were the 2nd/3rd people in line for Billy Tan. Wait time was about 30 minutes for us to walk away with our 2 sketches.

Sean wanted a Batman sketch but the line was at least 15 people deep so I figured it was time to walk around, grab some lunch and then come back for Sean's sketch. This time the line is still long and we stand in line for over an hour....just for Sean.;)

Well I got to hang with Walden today.

It was a blast.

First we went to this great Dim Sum resturant. Then we hit Isotope on Fell where I picked up a few comics, Then he took me to Cards and Comics where I picked up the Iron Man Lead figure. This place had about 30 different ones from $12 for $30 each. I also bought some filler comics for my IM collection.

The we went to Things from another World to find out that everything was 40 to 60 % off as they lost their lease and were closing later this month. I got the McFarlane Bart Simpson movie figure for my daughter and more filler comics for a total of $11+.

Walden also gave me a bunch of signed comics he worked on and a broken SS Beast that he had so I can repair and add to my stuff. He also let me know about the current stuff he has going on. I must say that Walden is a busy man and I don't see anything but good things from him in the future.

I'm sure he will chime in later on when he takes a break form getting his pages done for the week :p

I bought a bunch of trade paperbacks at Things from another World. Spontaneous buying because of the sale. I'm glad we went there, otherwise I would have never know they were closing.
