They are cool for what they are. They are not a bowen piece so don't expect the same quality.

My suggestion to you is to get one of your favorite character, in your case, Wolvie. If you like it get them all :p

I think it cost $20. At least that what it was a year ago when I joined. But after you join, they'll send you a money coupon. Maybe $15. And the more $ you spend on that first purchase, the higher that first $ coupon will be. I spent about $75 on that first purchase when I joined. Then a month later, I got this $25 money coupon. But then, Suncoast seemed like they stopped carrying toys. Then a few of the locations started closing down. So you never know what's going to happen.

Also, in order to be able to use those money coupons, you gotta be an active member. And re-joing with a fee every year.

No, most of them are good so far. The Punisher, Thing, and Doctor Doom are the ones that look the most off.

I actually like these. The scale hasn't bothered me. They are similar in size as some earlier Bowen busts. They aren't that expensive either.

I like the Hulk. It isn't 100% perfect in the face, but it is still a nice piece. The weight and size of the piece is nice.

That is understandable. The Bowen one is usually high. Unless Bowen does an updated version of the Hulk bust, I don't think that price will ever drop.

Speaking of Bowen, he is making the Museum Pose Kirby Hulk FS. I am not sure how I feel about it. There are no pics of it yet but it is probably going to be a nice sculpt. The hard think to decide is if you really need 2 or 3 versions of the same Hulk if you alread own that Sideshow Masterpiece!

Im not really in your "tight" circle of friends here.....and some might view what I'm about to say as being an a-hole. But...I only say it because when I was younger (in my 20s) I did the same things. So although it might sound harsh...it is only meant to help.

Ryan - You need to slow down. You need to figure out what kind of a budget YOU can afford AFTER paying all of your bills and then go from there. Just think of all the money you've spent in shipping items that you bought only to turn around and sell them to cover other expenses. You have to accept the fact that not everyone has the same budget. Not everyone can afford to spend the amount of money some of us do on toys and statues. I used to be the same way before I got married and was single. Not so much the money aspect.....but the buying of everything I saw...only to turn around and get rid of it 2 weeks later because I was bored.

Also, you guys that keep telling Ryan, "don't worry bro...we got your back"....you're doing more harm then good. He needs to learn (and the sooner in life, the better) to budget. Because things only get more expensive as you get older and start a family. You guys are his safety net, either buying things for him, buying things off of him to help, or collecting money and sending it so he can pay his bills. He needs to fall down a few times or he will never learn. Again....although it sounds like I'm just being a harsh a-hole....it is reality. You guys would help Ryan a lot more by letting him get himself out of the messes he creates. That's the only way you build character (christ....I sound like my parents :o :D :eek: )

Oaktown and Maximus, you guys are right and I agree with you.

The only clarifying point is that telling Ryan "we have his back " is more moral support than anything. I consider Ryan a friend and have had many private conversations about his situation. So I when I say Ryan I got your back it means in a friendly way not in a financial way. If he is selling something I need then yeah I will buy it, not b/c he needs the help but b/c I want it, lol. But I didn't contribute to the fundraiser for him a while back b/c I wasn't comfortable with it.

My best piece of advice is this: Buy the stuff that interests you... in clubs and collecting circles like this it is very easy to see someone's haul and think, "that's cool! I want one too!" When you really have no interest in it other than you think it looks cool and that everyone else is saying how cool it is. There have been quite a few hauls I've seen where I thought that I might want to get what they got, and seeing that the items are popular among other collectors makes me think about getting one a bit more... but then I have to sit back and realize that I personnally don't have the love for said item, and can do without. From buying figs all these years, and now being stuck with a bunch of crap I could care less about helped out a lot... I bought a ton of stuff I had no interest in back when I started collecting just cause it was the stuff everyone back in the day wanted... and now is a dime a dozen. And with statues and busts being $50-$300+ it's a lot easier to get out of hand if you are buying everything under the sun for no reason. Buy only what you really like, and only when you can afford it. Also, don't buy stuff that you don't really like all that much just for the fact that it's a good deal... cause even a few "great deals" can end up being $700+ right away. There's my two cents.

That is a great deal for anyone who collects full-size statues. IMO...this sculpt is right up there with Bowen's. I love the addition of ant-man on the tip of the arrow. Great piece. Only negative in my eyes is the base with the glaring "AVENGERS" on it. Rather it just be a solid black base...or an environment base.

I don't theres just something about getting vintage stuff that beats anything new, no matter how much better new stuff looks. I guess theres just more charm in the vintage stuff and its a lot more fun and satisfying.

I love that TF! I have one complete with box and all... It was the only TF my parent's ever got me when I was young so I took extremely good care of it. Every time I would play with it I would polish it up and put it back in the box. And never played with it outside in the dirt or anything. To this day it remains my favorite. Just a cool toy! And it helps that it brings a nice chunk of change as well. :D

I've seen that one before at the Cons. It's an alright piece and your right, I doubt Randy would ever make one of Gwen. I always wanted Randy to make a 3 pack of "Woman Of Spiderman's Life" busts that would include MJ, Gwen, and Aunt May. :o But that will never happen. :rolleyes: :(

Just an update, the seller refunded me 1/2 of the cost of the statue, so in the end the statue was very inexpensive. Amazing even if it is broken! :eek:

Personally I hate them (sorry everyone else). For the money they are no where near the quality of a Bowen or even Diamond Selects piece. I'd rather tie up my money in better more expensive statues or busts then get into a line that has very few highlights. But that is just my opinion.

I saw some of the Spidey Origins figures last night at Target. Why the spider emblem on his symbiote costume is silver instead of black makes absolutely no sense to me. Rhino looked good though.
