3ringsfortom/CocoCrispinCenter/Sal is NOT a GS. Not that he is a BS, I think everyone needs to know up-front that he does NOT practice good trade ethics. We agreed on a price for a figure to be shipped from Cali to SC. I paid the price asked for, but then asked him to ship it to Randy in Cali. Rather than shipping it he decided to drop it off. Fine, but why charge me the cost of shipping a 12" fig across country if you decide to just drive 15 miles. The only way this is a good deal is if gas is now over $5 a gallon and his car gets about 10-12 mpg. On top of that, there was NO communication on this. He finally made the drive 7 days after the agreed upon ship date. The fig arrived minty, but the ethics involved are not what I would call top shelf.

If you decide to deal with him, just be warned.

UPDATE:

3ringsfortom/CocoCrispinCenter/Sal is NOT a GS. Not that he is a BS, I think everyone needs to know up-front that he does NOT practice good trade ethics. We agreed on a price for a figure to be shipped from Cali to SC. I paid the price asked for, but then asked him to ship it to Randy in Cali. Rather than shipping it he decided to drop it off. Fine, but why charge me the cost of shipping a 12" fig across country if you decide to just drive 15 miles. The only way this is a good deal is if gas is now over $5 a gallon and his car gets about 10-12 mpg. On top of that, there was NO communication on this. He finally made the drive 7 days after the agreed upon ship date. The fig arrived minty, but the ethics involved are not what I would call top shelf.

If you decide to deal with him, just be warned.

hehehe i told you he over prices stuff and has high Quotes on shipping......

OK so I'm a tad late to the 12" party - I've had a white Urlacher and a Holmes for awhile now, but recently picked up a 12" Tomlinson, 49ers Rice, and Bettis - all I have left is a Cowboys Emmitt and I'm done! Anybody got one (loose/openers OK as long as everything is complete/minty on the fig)? : )

P.S. They really are SWEET! I can't believe TMP quit making them!!!!! : (

Not me - mine is light gray but still looks great - and it's funny, because with the 12" fig I'm a "dark-sider" and they are all displayed loose, but my 6" collection is all sealed (for the most part)! ; )

mini-completist = i'm collecting all variations of UM players, Tiki Barber and Tomlinson.

Once I get all/most of those done I'm going to move into all the NFL exclusives.

Would be interested to see what Todd has to say about the 12" figs - last word from Mark was that there were no plans to release any additional figs. If that's true, then you'd better complete those 12" collections pretty quick fellas - before they go through the roof!!!

I've got a cool idea we could do. Whenever you get a new 12" in (or just feel like it) you can post a review of it because as we know not all 12" are created equal. Some have better facial sculpts, paint, etc than others so I think it would be nice to hear what everyone thinks.:)

I'll start:
I just got a Ruth in the mail a couple days ago and I must say I am quite impressed. It is a whole new sculpt from the 6" (I had thought it was just an arm swap) and also features his number on his back. The other great thing is that it features the new painted on pinstripes, which look a whole lot better than the grooves. Also another feature I have not seen before is that home plate is removable, so if you need to slide the base into a fairly tight spot you can remove the plate.

Overall I am very impressed, and it is always nice to get something unique with the 12".:)

Like that idea.. as i'm having a few 12"inch customs in route and would rock to display and have a lil fact sheet about each one. On the Ruth, my daughter yanked off the plate and i thought she ripped it off, till i seen it comes off farely easy...
