Ronnie..Worked in the Bloom & Billet mill And the Conditioning department most of my 39 years..Scarfing defects out of the steel and then they went to grinders in the mid 70's..

We get all our steel from the caster in slab form then roll it down to a 6"x 6"x 30 foot long bar for the bar mill..

Lot easier then working in the coke ovens or blast furnace..;) :D :D
