We are told that they will be sold the same way the Variteks were. Can somebody please refresh my memory?

Over/under on the number of people complaining and cursing TMP because they didn't get the e-mail?

A LOT fewer than it would have been had TMP not come to their senses and decided to go lottery on it.

That seems the logical way to do these things. The lottery for the Veritek was different because people could care less about baseball, football figures sell!!

so people have to get and email, now how is that fair... not that im crying, i said life is not fair and can deal with not getting a toy/something i want and dont need, but people were saying lottery is better because all would have a fair chance, but how fair is it if you dont get the email... just asking... or does it not work based on receiving a email...

anyone care to explain the lottery system?

Email? We haven't even announce the sign up system for the lottery yet. Calm down! Once we announce the lottery system - which will be online in the store - whoever wants these figures will have to register. THEN we will draw names randomly and send emails to those people with instructions on how to place your order. Registration for this will not even begin until next week, at the earliest.

With what you are announcing here of registering and the so called drawing of names and sending emails to the so called lucky receipients and then instructions on how to place an order,etc.etc.

"WHY NOT A SIMPLE PREORDER ON FUTURE EXCLUSIVES"

SEEMS SIMPLE TO ME ...BUT AFTER THE FIRST FIASCO 15 MONTHS AGO........... WHAT THE HELL DO I KNOW :( :(

Pre-Order is by far the way to go. Nobody needs a Lottery System in which will eliminate some from having the chance to get these figures. A lottery will just do the same thing that happened last year......some of the same will get the Deions and some that never got them will still not get them. Pre-Order is the smartest business decision to make when it comes to Exclusives. TMP will even make more money and be guaranteed not to lose money and will know what their exact costs will be. Somebody needs to send one of Trump's Apprentices over to TMP.

man, the people who told us not to cry about the spawn sale are sure crying now!

Fairness isn't defined by you getting what you want. Fair means everyone getting an equal shot at getting what everyone wants.

A preorder works before they make the figures. You set a time period and people order during that period. However many people order, that's how many you make. Best possible solution. But these figures are already made. They can't do preorders because more people may order during that period than they have figures for.

Doing preorders now would mean taking only the first orders placed, and that creates the same chaos as they had yesterday. In that case it's not a preorder, it's an order - and the system can't handle that volume of orders as we saw yesterday.

ok i am not crying/upset... i was laughing when my cart was automatically emptied, because i figured what happended, then seeing all these post about it had me laughing more... and im laughing now, because people think that i am crying... again im laughing, laughing at the fact that people doomed it before it happened and then when it did, basically said what they said before it bombed all over again... why post twice...

i was just asking a question... all i was saying was that lottery seems as unfair as buying through store like past exclusives... i just dont see how people are saying the lottery is fair when names have to be drawn... some will get picked some wont, and then what is funny is when people post i got mine, LOL, that make all the people who did, get all uptight...

again i am one who still says if i get it, i get it, if i dont, then i dont... its just a toy... i want it, i dont need it...

As ususal, you moderators are missing the point of the collectors. The lottery will exclude more of your die hard fans/collectors than before. We already know scalpers had extra friends and associates join the "Collector's Club" for the sale, now they only have to get all thier buddies to register for the drawing, thereby increasing thier chances of getting selected while people like me who would go about it the right way have our chances reduced greatly.(Thier 2, 3, 5, 8 or more emails against my one. Get the picture?) There is already enough legit collectors to contend with, why make it harder on us?
And really, where do you get off telling someone to calm down? mUdd's post seemed pretty calm to me. There was plenty speculation as to whether or not the servers would be able to handle the traffic, but you guys insisted they would be just fine. Spin it however you want but this company's incompetence cost alot of people alot of grief, AGAIN! We should have the right to be pesimistic and doubt anything out of yours and this companies mouth untill we see results. And frankly, the lottery will not deliver those results. Unless of course, scalpers mean more than collectors do...

scalpers get a bunch of friends to join the club for the sale, or scalpers get a bunch of friends to register for the lottery - what's the difference? The lottery is no easier for scalpers to manipulate than the fiasco we saw this week.
