Assuming it's the same transfer as the HD DVD, the PQ is on the soft side.

Regardless, this movie is also not terribly good. Very long and sort of dull for the most part. I mean it is acted well, but the story just doesn't live up.

Another BD goof... apparently Universal has put the first Hulk movie in the cases for the Incredible Hulk. This is for the BD only, not the DVD.

I imagine it will all be fixed for next Tuesday. :)

Watched Untracable. Crazy movie. Probably the worst PQ for BR I have ever seen. Something crazy was going on with the blacks in that movie. Dark scenes were like ghosting it was wierd.

But pretty good sick flick. Worth a rental for sure.

Probably 2 weeks depending on where you live. They basically send you a refurbed unit if the process is the same as the PS2.

In the PS3 thread on here, there is a guy that just went through the process. Joe Bruin I beleive. Ask him about it.

1.) you might try turning off the BD live setting.

2.) do you have the latest 2.5 update?

3.) Quick search found a possible fix... Under the settings icon on the playstation menu (xmb) scroll down to bd/dvd and switch the 24 herts option to off.

try turning off in the setting the BD 24HZ 1080P, if your tv is not 120hz that can cause the movies to freeze or not play at all.

Yeah no problemo...hope that works.

Only other thing I was able to find was on the Sony forums where some were saying it could be a ventilation issue, indicating the side fan needs at least 4 inches of breathing room. But their freezes are more attributed to games than movies.

Doubtful but some dude here says as a last resort...try restoring to original settings...

Blu Ray (Sony) does not have the power over which companies have the right to distribute films in which countries.

I believe it's released only in Canada as Alliance has the distribution rights here... because of the Disney/Weinstein split, a lot of titles like Sin City are in limbo as to when they can be released in the US.

Well I got the Furnace free from my last job. A $1200 93% eff furnace. It had a dent and we coulnt sell them to they would dispos of them. Its only costing $1000 to have installed. A lot of tin work needs to be done so I can not really complain..

wow...the sony customer service dept kind of sux. i emailed them with my ps3 problem and told them that i couldn't find my receipt. i explained that i tried all of their troubleshooting tips and i just needed to know what my options were for any sort of warranty repair without my receipt. they emailed me back a list of troubleshooting tips...ugh. :(

Finally got the correct HDMI cable from monoprice for the PS3 and wow what a difference! I initially had the BB brand and it was garbage. Unfortunately I picked Knocked Up as my initial watch and Seth Rogen's bare ass in HD isn't a pretty sight. Up next, The Mist again.

Sure it's not the greatest piece of cinema ever created, but I still found it to be the usual far fetched fun I've come to expect from Indy films. :)

I loved the ants part.

Everyone rags on the fridge scene. Yeah, it was ridiculous...but it was like 2 minutes of the movie. Did that really ruin for you? Any more than someone's heart getting ripped out of his body and him still living? Any more than centuries old crusading ghosts talking to Indy?

The entire series isn't based in reality. I don't know, I thought Indy 4 was very entertaining. It just seems to be the fashionable thing to hate on it this year.
