Steiner has put up some sweet Red Sox stuff now that they have them under contract. They also just got the Dodgers. I wonder if they will get someone to drop even clost to 20 k on **** K jersey. But with the Japan fans, sometimes money is no object over there. I've seen even big money shelled out on common Japan player's doing nothing in MLB.

A COA wouldnt make it real either. All that would do is prove that the Auto is authentic not the bat. Now dont get me wrong I am not saying the bat is fake or real. I dont really know the first thing about game used bats.

The bat is most likley real. You can't go into stores and buy a Torii Hunter Rawlings bat like that. Not sure if Rawlings even makes retail bats with player's names engraved in them. I know mostly about Louisville Slugger bats, but I do know legit Rawlings bats issued to the pro's have a date/model code stamped in the handle. It looks like it on that bat. I'd ask the seller to give you all the markings on the bottom of the handel. I know royfan who posts in here knows what the code means on Rawlings bats. Also ball marks and deep seem impressions are also important. That bat looks good with those. That is something that is hard to fake. High speed MLB pitching is the type that leaves those marks.

Thanks McDave, that guy is a tool.. his son in law, or some relation, worked in the Carolina room and got him all that stuff either for free or for super cheap. He won't budge on the price, he doesn't have that stick anymore, just a couple woodies, of which I luckly have one. I'm also getting another Hurricanes stick for $75 shipped from Montreal, and after that, I'm pretty much done with Carolina shwag, unless a 3 patch jersey from 99/00 or an old Starter jersey from 98 comes up. I'm so glad I got one of the jerseys tho, what a stroke of luck that was..

You will always pay more from the team shops. But you get a nice peace of mind knowing the source. If Hunter bat has mlb authetication hologram on it, $200 isn't that bad a price. Seems he only has been using the black Rawlings bats this season, but I don't see many Twins tilts. His Mother's Day pink bat when for a few grand, he hit a couple homer's that game. When I was up in Minnesota last summer, I stopped at the Ridgedale Twins pro shop and they only had common player bats and wanted $100 for guys like Lecroy, Sierra (neither was even on the team anymore), they did have a sweet Silva Sam bat with mlb authenticated hologram on it for $100.

I should be able to. I just put a rough guess so far on what to go with.

I don't think I need 5 IR Spots though. Usually three tops because it's rare to see 5 players out of 20 go down at one time.

It is just one of those things. I try to get 5 just in case. I mean it really doesnt do anything. It is just there as a safety net if your team gets ravaged by injuries. I have seen teams last year in a league I was in with 4-5 people on IR.

Great haul today :D :D :D :D

Got contacted by a member on another forum about some amazing sticks they've acquired through friends in the NHL and such, and was presented with an awesome opportunity to nab these. As he didn't take Paypal and only wanted cash or money order, I was pretty worried. He's dealt to auction houses like Lelands and Classic, but didn't have any ebay feedback at all. The guy's old school.

So I decided to take a chance. The guy seemed legit and he lived about 20 minutes from my parents or my buddy C.J. in case anything went wrong. I guess all the worrying was for nothing. The transaction took less than a week, and for a pretty good price, I now have sticks of Brodeur, Kovalchuk, and Malkin :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Here's an added bonus. Each stick came from an award winning year :D

06/07 S.Salo Canucks navy, photomatched board burns on shoulder crests : $300

06/07 H.Sedin navy, light wear, but some burns/puck marks, silver marking on front crest.

The prices on the jerseys are what their Meigray selling price was, I am looking for reasonable offers, and will cut deals for purchasing multiple items. I have the guy holding onto my grail for me, and do have a buyer for the Ohlund and Salo jerseys in October, but would like to move them sooner, and the potential buyer has told me its cool for me to try and move them. Help a brutha out guys, I am willing to take somewhat of a hit on these.

Riddler where did you score a Ripken bat from? How much use is on it. I know on GUU board there are quite a few Ripken collectors. A huge thread on how rare his gloves are. He only gave one away to a kid and another was stolen in KC.

I've had the Ripken bat for a long time. I wanted to post it here on his HOF induction weekend. I think I bought it off an add I saw in SCD from a bat dealer- Kim and David Stigall. Are they still around? It's been cracked and repaired (I'm not 100% where the crack even is) and has moderate use.

With some help on another board. I was able to get into mlb.com video and get a photo-match with my own camera off the computer monitor. Round about way, but it worked. It is really cool that mlb.com has the past 2 seasons worth of games on file to view. I just wish I could burn the game on dvd and get a crystal clear photo. I'm almost certain he used my bat in all 4 of his at bats including the home run he hit.

The nfl.com auctions on the Cutler and Bailey jerseys are in the books. Same guy won both. Went for some nice coin Champ for 3 grand and Cutler for 4 grand. I was told that the Panthers are one of the worst sellers, so the prices were perhaps a bit lower to help them sell.. I can understand that, but the Gelly's for the past two years were the same price as the Flames jerseys two years before.. BUT they almost always sell out, and even the set 2's are pre-ordered, so I'm willing to pay. I won't be able to get a blue jersey unless a) they make him extras due to rips (something Barry mentioned) or b) Marty stays with the team right up til the playoffs.

I'm hoping that when the season starts, the Preds have the 10 year patch

no, that got messed up.. The other Gelinas guy had the set 3 white preordered, and Gelly scored 300 in the final game in the white, and when the dust settled and the jerseys got shipped, they sent him the set 2 white, and nobody could find the set 3. no, that got messed up.. The other Gelinas guy had the set 3 white preordered, and Gelly scored 300 in the final game in the white, and when the dust settled and the jerseys got shipped, they sent him the set 2 white, and nobody could find the set 3. Nike just didnt want to seem to make anymore. Pretty much everyone was sold out and had to wait for Nike to resupply. It took them this long to get some back in stock. They still have no idea when they will be able to get some of the Blue ones. I was hoping to get a Blue Lundqvist one day as well. I guess that will have to wait.

Just pre-ordered a Mike Richards. He came down a little. Gagne jumped $300. It's because he's not wearing two jerseys a game anymore. If he does, the price may come down, but as of right now, Meigray's asking $1250 on Gagne. Both Set 1's were taken, so I took Richards Set 1 white at $750.

Briere was $1495, but both Set 1's were already gone. Carter dropped to $995 as well.

May get a Gagne Set 2 or 3 if one comes availalbe.

That's not so much for Richards and Carter, I bet they really jump when the team has more success this year, maybe even up to Getzlaf and Perry prices..

Briere is also pretty reasonable, for an All Star MVP.. You've got to make sure you get a Gagne tho, perhaps the set 3 that goes to the Conf. Finals ;)

First time I've pre-ordered a jersey, so it'll be fun watching Richards in it. Hopefully he gets in a fight or two on that upcoming 8 game road trip. From what I read, they're beeing worn 2 - 2 1/2 months. That'll be around 15-20 road games :D
