I guess the Kings are making tons of bank on the jerseys that they dont sell. They should just let Meigray handle it for them again.

They might as well. Nothing has really sold well. They had multiples of some of the key players. Also none of them are moving at their current prices. Even in the rich LA market we are looking at the prices and we are passing. There are some at fair prices but others are a little too high.

Also their are four Kopitar's at the shop right now for 2,500 each. I think we saw one that said Set 6 for Anze.

Just checking out some of the pricing with the pre-orders. I was thinking that if someone was in the mkt for buying an authentic 2007-08 edge jersey (not game worn), you may as well buy a game worn one from meigray. There are some sitting around $300-400.

The reason some jerseys went up is players aren't wearing as many now. Gagne used to go through 2 a game because he sweat so much. Now he only wears one of the new jerseys a game. So the price jumped $300 because there won't be as many available this year. I wonder if that's the same as Smyth.

And what a Flyers game tonight. The first game Richards wore the jersey I pre-ordered and he only had a career high 4 points and his second 3 on 5 shorthanded goal :D

MeiGray does do some lottery pricing. In that they price it real high in hopes they find the one collector willing to shell the big bucks to have that player's jersey. They know they are the only place in the market that can offer it. Have they ever had a Paul Stastny jersey on the site? I'm just curious to what his jerseys have sold for, his must all get pre-ordered. The Smyth Avs price is quite steep. Makes the deal Brew got on his Oil third even better.

in the category of "Nobody will think this is cool but me", I was browsing the NHL milestone auctions and noticed Modano's jersey was worn in his 1200th game. I remember Gelinas had his 1000th game in Calgary, and they had him wear a new jersey each period. Anyways, I thought he might be getting to his 1200th game as well, so I look it up and sure enough, Marty's at 1219 after 3 games this season. I go to the game log for last year, count back 16 games and see that Martin played his 1200th game on March 03.

I check my saved photos, and find out he was wearing this jersey that night

I checked the population report from 06-07 and MeiGray thought 1,200 games was important enough that Modano used a new jersey in each period. Paul Stastny kept one of his jerseys for rookie point scoring streak. I forgot that he switched #'s early in the season. So those with his first #, was it 62? really got a nice bonus.

I was in the hospital for my heart, and my uncle got this from Lindros after he scored with it in one of the games. Uncle used to work for Titan.

You'll notice the autograph and personal message.

Only thing that rivals it in my home, is my brother's 1992-93 Lemieux-team signed stick - also a titan and a hook up from our uncle.

Just curious to what Jagr 600 goal jersey and the Brodeur.
Did check the Leafs helmet final prices. Sundin was the highest at $1,235. Wasn't there some kind of controversary with his helmet from this auction last year. I believe he scored his 500th goal in the game last year and helmet went for quite a few thousand, but it wasn't the same one he used in the game. I may be wrong.

Btw, I forgot to post. The Kings put up for sale the jerseys they used from London. They used two sets and there is nothing special to distinguish they were used in London.

Prices range from 500-2500. I could not even find the Bernier. Kopitar and Johnson were 2,500

Nice pick up bigcheez. That was a nice deal, even has the 5th year patch. I'm probaly the only one who watches NBA.com auctions from Meigray, but it was amazing to see some of the prices from just the rookie shoot jerseys. Again the same bidder id scored all the big names. He must have won 10-12 of the top picks jerseys and dropped at least 15-20 grand. Makes me wonder if the id is from topps or upper deck. The same id won all the stars jerseys from the first Meigray NBA auctions of euro jerseys last season.

Thanks, scojan. It's an interesting jersey. He scored two goals and had an assist wearing in beat down of Olie and the Caps. He was named the number one star. He basically did the same thing in the game the night before in DC. Probably my favorite hockey player to date. No explanation needed to a fellow Caps fan.

I have not done the preorder option of purchasing jerseys. I'm more spur of the moment;)

This post will remain in the General Section, and I’ll be happy to respond to questions. In the NHL-MGG Section, I will make specific posts for our 14 specific program teams, as information on those teams becomes available.

I feel this is the best way because a lot of you have a lot of questions on your particular team, and the information with each team might be slightly different … especially when it comes down to Set Dates, and what teams have done so far.

Now for the issues:

RBK 1.0 vs. RBK 2.0:

When the new RBK Edge jerseys were delivered to the teams (let’s call it the RBK Edge 1.0), and the teams began using them, it was learned that the chemical treatment administered to the new wick away fabric inadvertently prevented sweat from escaping. Instead of keeping the players cooler and lighter, sweat actually built up in the players’ equipment and left the jerseys wetter. It was a flaw that RBK immediately attempted to correct by chemically treating the jersey differently.

Sometime in October, RBK responded to the feedback from the teams and made changes to the jersey: An RBK Edge actually has a variety of different fabrics in it. RBK left the stretch mesh under the arms and back, but replaced the front panel, shoulders and sleeves with an Airknit material.

Over the last few weeks, we have been tagging and sending to the teams small supplies of RBK Edge 2.0 jerseys.

Besides the new front fabric, these 2.0 jerseys also have responded to team suggestions by making minor customizing adjustments to the size and cut around the arms and shoulders of the garments. RBK and the NHL think the 2.0 will alleviate many of the problems NHL teams were facing with the new jerseys.

You probably saw a published report (one of the few entirely accurate reports in the media) that Ottawa was the first program team to introduce its RBK Edge 2.0 set. Teams will be introducing their RBK Edge 2.0 sets as they are delivered by RBK.

How many jerseys?

Because of sizing and durability issues (mainly for fighters, and players who sweat a lot) in the RBK 1.0 sets, some players have had more than one jersey in Set 1. Which players, and how many per team, will become evident when we get the Set 1 final reports.

And because teams can switch to RBK 2.0, we actually believe that there will be FEWER jerseys this season than in seasons past. We say that because RBK is manufacturing as quickly as possible, but has delivered enough jerseys only for teams to produce a Set 2 and Set 3 … and depending upon call-ups, special situations, etc, those jerseys are going to be in very, very short supply for the near future.

As the season continues, we will be able to provide more accurate information. But as of right now, the 14 program teams’ jersey sets look as follows:

Set 1 (RBK 1.0)---Start of pre-season through November or December, depending upon if the team switches to 2.0, and when their 2.0s are manufactured and delivered.

Sets 2 and 3 (RBK 2.0, if a team chooses)---Some teams will switch out completely. Others might blend the 1.0 and 2.0, depending upon what the players/teams prefer.

The only exception is Colorado, which will be wearing four sets this season. Colorado’s first RBK 1.0 set bled in the laundry, and the burgundy dye turned the white parts of the jerseys pink. Colorado had to use a second RBK 1.0 set. In the NHL-MGG section we will discuss the Colorado situation, and the ramifications for collectors who pre-ordered.

How these Issues Affect Pre-Orders:

Any collector who has pre-ordered a Set 1 and prefers to switch to a Set 2 may do so. Just contact us if you have a question, or want to switch. We believe the Set 2s will be worn significantly longer than Set 1. And we believe the 2.0s will be more popular than the 1.0s.

However, it is possible that the 1.0s will become an extinct design. It is too early to say this for certain, and RBK and the NHL have made no final decisions on this. But our information today tells us that RBK will be manufacturing only 2.0s over the next few months, in order to fulfill its deliveries to the NHL teams to provide for the sets that are required.

The good news is that those of you who have pre-ordered Set 1, or would like to pre-order or order Set 1, may find that we will be delivering some sets before Christmas!!!

As always, the season-ending MGG Population Report will confirm everything done in 2007-08. Please know that we are doing everything we can to disseminate ACCURATE INFORMATION. And I can promise you we are doing everything we can as representatives of the game-worn jersey hobby to work with RBK and the NHL, which cares enough about our hobby to supply us with accurate information as it becomes available. Have there been mistakes made? Obviously. Have unseen challenges arisen that caught the league and the manufacturer by surprise? Absolutely.

But they care about the game. And they care that their product is the best it can be. I can assure you of that. We will continue to update, as information becomes available. And in the NHL-MGG Section we will discuss specific situations team-by-team.

SinCity - I'm real excited about the Richards. He was wearing it in both his fights against the Rangers (Avery) and the Caps where his nose was gushing blood. Not to mention his big four point game vs. the Nucks and his 3 on 5 goal.

Hopefully he doesn't switch out for a while. I'm at a loss at what to do if he switches early. The games he's worn it in were good ones. There's a decent repair on the left shoulder as well, could be some blood stains also. But if he does switch early, the Set 2 will get a bunch more games in and potentially a lot more wear.

Then again, the Set 1 will be a once in a lifetime deal. The only time he'll ever wear that style.

I have a question

I just got a pair of game used Randy Moss gloves. These things smell so bad, worse than a pair of socks worn all day. I plan on eventually putting them in a display case but is there anything i can do about this without damaging the gloves? Would leaving them as open as possible outside help? I put them in a drawer and when i came home from work yesterday i could smell them as soon as i entered my room

Freewebs is easy to use. I make my page there. A lot of people that aren't as program oriented use sites like photo-bucket or webshots and just upload their pics for people to flip through.

I'm not program orientated at all so simplicity works best for me. I have used a few hosting sites like photo-bucket and snapfish for images that I post here and elsewhere without too much difficulty. I'd like to upgrade beyond what I have seen so far from similiar sites to more of a custom or unique design. Does this require that I contact a professional and pay for their services to design and maintain a site for a fee(s)?

NBA Meigray finals Spurs-Cavs go down tonight on NBA.com, will be interesting if exquisite wins all the big names again. Rumor had it being a card company or someone working for Gilbert Arenas. That Flyers auction is ridiculous. It's like they put the starting bids at what they hoped they'd end at. Can't believe they want $600 for the gloves. Milt's got a pair on ebay for less than half that. And you can always get 'em signed at a show for $20 later.

I got my pair of Gagne gloves from Milt for around that. And I even made a bunch of nice photomatches with them afterwards.

Now...if it was a pair of Gagne skates....I'd have to go for them :D

Steiner has the Red Sox Fenway collection now. Very expensive, but you can find nice deals when they have auctions on the site. Or on ebay when it shows up. The Patriots are like the Steelers. Very few gamers get out from those teams. I don't know why either, those teams are sitting on small fourtunes if they every do go and sell all those game used jerseys they have in storage.
