The Kings are notorious for their jersey cleaning, for years they've managed to remove nearly all the marks and scuffs on the jerseys to the point where it looks like they have new jerseys each time.

When they first marketed their jerseys last year it was absolutely hilarious. The cheapest jerseys were $750 for players like Belanger(Preseason), Dallman, Kostopoulos. With higher end players like Avery and Conroy at $1,750. Kopitar was at $1,750 and others like Blake and Garon were priced at $2,500. After nothing except the Kopitar's sold they started to drop prices.

Well still nothing sold because they were still too high. Cheapest jerseys were 400 dollars. Now the ones that were priced right sold but most just sat there. At the beginning of this season they put out the two Jack Johnson jerseys that he used last year in his first NHL Games and they priced them at $7,500. Of course they were not purchased.

The edge jerseys they've done somewhat of a better job. I believe $350-$400 for the lower end players and the most expensive players like Kopitar at $1,500.

They already have the London sets for sale(Not many have been bought because there is nothing to distinguish that they were used in London. Besides that set 1 is available not really nothing has moved. Barely any jerseys have repairs or rips. Probably the best looking jersey is Jason Labarbera's but that has zero stick marks but a whole lot of scuffs because of the new jersey.

Just got back from my mini-Oilers road trip in Washington, Tampa and Miami....went to two of the Oilers' morning skates and got Moreau's stick! It was pretty fun walking through the airports with that thing!

Unless the price went up, iirc the Dion's from set 1 were $1700.. I figgered I could sell a couple (Smyth would be first to go) to get most of it paid, and then sock away $100 a month until it came in, or pay that much to the credit card.. being a regular season jersey makes it just a regular preorder.. the buyer is lucky if you ask me, that thing is easily photomatched, and has great wear on both arms/shoulders. I wonder what the AS jersey will end up selling for .. :o

Actually, I did tell one guy on the gwj.com forums who was looking for Oilers that if he could make a deal with the owner of, and buy, the red set 3 or SCF 03/04 Flames Gelinas (through Barry), I would trade him the Smyth for it.. The red set 1 would be a trade + a bit of $ for the Smyth.

Got my first authentic NHL Jersey today. Not sure if it was game worn or not though. Seller wasn't sure. I am just starting to collect again after many years of not doing it. I am only after the 91-92 season NHL jerseys with the 75th anniversary patch. Anyway, here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

It does have some staining on the bottom of jersey, some yellow sports and some small black marks. You can only see them up close. Also the fight strap looks used aswell. I was looking on dropthepucks.com and on the 91-92 jerseys, they have a patch on the inside next to the CCM for the 91-92 and mine doesnt have that. Not sure if they did that for every team though. Everything else checks out on mine though from stiching to color and tags. Who knows? That Oilers jersey is awesome. If you are ever looking to move it, please let me know.

terrible news out of Nashville

Update: The injury to the anterior cruciate ligament in Gelinas’ (knee) right knee is a tear, the Nashville Tennessean reports.

Recommendation: The doctors have told Gelinas to wait two or three weeks for the swelling to go down before deciding to have surgery or play through the injury. The team has moved him to injured reserve as of Saturday.

This could mean the end of the season, in which case, no blue jersey for me.. or even worse, could be the end of the career :(

Hey Matt, welcome! Tough call on the Vokoun, now that he's in Florida, not many people still want the Predators jerseys (there's still 5 for sale at meigray.com from last year). but it does have the 5th anniversary patch, that's a plus. I can't check at the moment (it used to be a porn site), but I believe the Captain Bob West (www.suzyq.com (http://www.suzyq.com)) has some Vokouns as well, and if memory serves, he's marked them way up to $2000 (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I'm pretty sure he's got the mustard 3rd jersey with the patch as well.

personally, I'd offer something like $750 or 800, but I rarely find something I really want and when I do find it, I don't cheap out, I go for it (I lost out on a really nice jersey once by making a low offer, and someone swooped in a paid full price, now I'd do plenty to get that jersey).

let us know if you get it! and then post lots of pictures here, we diggit!

sweet, somebody bought the Smyth jersey!! He offered $750 at the start, I replied saying it was a bit low and I'd like to wait and see if any more offers came in. He replied to that asking for my lowest price, and that he'd buy it if it was legit. I replied saying it was 100% legit (meigray, photomatches) but that I'd still like to see if anyone else was going to offer and bid, and whammo, he bought it!

That jersey belongs to bigcheez99 on these boards. I personally, would love to add this to my Vokoun jersey collection! That being said though, I know the lowest price he quoted me on it was $750.00. That's a great price too, but I simply can't afford it right now! :(

That Madison looks like it has some nice use. Have they sold any of the patched one's they used in the game in London vs the Giants this past year. The New York Giants team shop on nfl.com has been selling the Giants practice jerseys with London patch. Haven't seen any of the Dolphins gamers from that game.

I've contacted the Blues store "BlueNote Authentics" and I was told the jerseys will be sold on nhl.com at various auctions during the next few months.They are putting together an auction for a set right now that should be up soon, so keep checking NHL auctions.

They don't have any program to sell the jerseys through their store, but you can get sticks from the store.

Lots of great sticks being posted. The Roenick reminds me of a barber pole. Too bad most of the hockey jerseys don't have wear like the Zach Thomas. Sakic jersey is very nice.

I bid on a pair of game used gloves, on Ebay, back in November but was out bid by someone at the last minute. While searching Ebay again in March I saw the same gloves reposted by the same seller, apparently the winning bidder didn't pay for the gloves and were relisted. I won the gloves for $126 less than my bid in November, luckily for me the original buyer didn't pay for the gloves and the gloves were listed as a bobblehead, with a crappy picture of them and not in the gameworn section of Ebay. I know it's a shocker, but exquisite613 cleaned up once again in the MeiGray NBA.com all star stuff auctions. I think the dude won almost every single All Star jersey. Barry must love this guy. He paid over 7 k for both Kobe jersey and his warm up stuff. Another 5 K for a bunch of other's guys jerseys including skills jerseys of Durant and Conoly. I wonder if they just box them all up and hand delivery the goods to him with the kind of coin he drops on NBA jerseys. He has easily spent over 100 grand in the past year with MeiGray.

It comes with the tag with the the serial number of the jersey and it also comes with a LOA. Some even come with other stuff like Photomatches.

They do have a population report at the end of the season that shows every jersey that went through their hands. Including ones that they never sell such as jersey off the back nights and stuff. Here is the shot of my LOA for my 3rd jersey Budaj.

Picked up a few game used stick at Hawkquarters during lunch today. Figured this was the last shipment since their season was over, so I thought I pick up sticks of guys I didn't have and hope to get them signed at the inaugural Blackhawks Convention.

Picked up Andrew Ladd, Robert Lang, Sergei Samsonov, Brent Seabrook, Patrick Sharp, Brent Sopel and Jason Williams.

The Lang pictured will most likely be up for trade as I purchased it for a friend who shut off his phone and I can't get a hold of him (was trading it to him for a Sharp) and I already have the same stick signed. Since I can't get a hold of him, and I have a Patrick Sharp gamer, I'll put it up for trade for another Blackhawk stick.

Normally, the game used sticks are $50, but with the popularity of the Hawks growing, they raised some of the sticks to $75. Sharp and Seabrook were $75, the rest were $50. They still had 2 Seabrooks left....the Keith and Burish sticks were also lilsted at $75.

If I can't trade the Lang stick, I may exchange it at the store for a Lalime or Kevyn Adams.

No Havlats unfortunately....I'd like one for myself!

No Barkers.....but they did have about 2 or 3 Keiths. 2 Warriors and an Easton.

They do have a bin of new game issued sticks, but I didn't look through them. I wanted game used sticks; besides, they're cheaper. The new sticks were $100.

Holy cow! That's a sweet haul and quite a lot of composite material there!

$50-75 for a composite stick the caliber of those is phenomenal. The non-professional issue of those sticks all retail for more than $200, so you are way ahead of the game already.

I have a Mike Torchia jersey from years ago, a buddy hooked me up when he worked for the Stars and they had an equipment sale. The guy is basically an unknown around here a few people remember him, but when the Cup came to town for the All-Star Game one of the "Keepers of The Cup" saw me wearing it and was all, "Oh, Torchia! He was beauty in the memorial cup!" That was pretty cool.

I also have a Roman Turek stick from when he was Belfour's back-up. He busted the tip off and it's just hanging on by some tape.
