Yeah it was on NHL auctions. It does come with an LOA made of thin cardboard about the size of a greeting card. I will try to take a picture of the tagging later tonight. The have them behind the numbers.

I think they will have some kind of deal on the 06-07 jerseys this sale upcoming. Considering the recent grab bags all have been 06-07 jerseys. So they must be wanting to clear out that inventory at reduced prices soon. I wonder if NBA stuff will be marked down much.

Here's a new pic of the small, but growing collection. Of the 10, 3 are not really "game used". The Weber TPS was a demo stck given to Shea that he never used. Also, the Vokoun and Mason Sher-wood sticks were never used either. They both went to Bauer in the middle of that season so those sticks were just their leftovers. At any rate, 6 of the sticks are already signed! :D

Anyone ever have a nice vintage wood stick signed with a paint pen? I'm considering getting some of my vintage wood sticks signed but figure I had better stick with a black sharpie or ball point pen to keep them from looking out of place.

My latest purchase. I went to Larry Robinson's jersey retirement game last November and sometime last month i got the itch to add a Game Worn Jersey from the game. with the game being last November alot was already picked over i thought about getting Dandeneault (former Wing) but then i saw Latendresse still there and thought he scored in that game. I checked my own photos taken from the game and i had taken pictures of the goal but they werent very good. I checked Getty and saw the photo above and thought perfect im going to get. being this jersey was a one gamer i never thought there would any wear on it . To my suprise when it came i saw the stick mark on the back number 4. The other day i had some free time so i tried to photo or video match it. I spent about 2.5 hours going through every possible photo on the web. The video of the goal on the Habs website cuts off just as they are showing the back of the jersey. I was about to give up and figured i need to find a video copy of this game when i thought im going to go back through my own photos taken from the game when i found the photo match. I was actually taking a picture of something else and Latendresse just happened to be skating away.

I go to a few races each year mainlky area ones and ones that are close to family. I have a HUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGE collection that I have collected over the years. Istarted with having replicas made and getting them signed and then figured out that if you were just polite and asked riders for their jerseys in practice the day before the races that you would actually get them. I just ask on like the day before the race during practice for their jersey after the race the next day and usually they remember and hand them over. Number plates and parts off the bikes are givin straight from the mechanics after races. They tear down the bikes after each race completely and hand out all the plastics to fans to load them up

I couldnt pass it up really. It is the Tobias Enstrom Set 3. If he continues to develop he could be one of the top d-men in the league. I also really wanted to get a jersey with the All-Star Game patch on it. I also find it rather interesting that the jerseys are pretty much back to the old jerseys but a tiny bit of the sleeves and the back. It is rather different than my Hinote set 1 jersey. Anyway about the jersey, there isnt much wear on it at all, but it seems that Tobi does have is sleeves shortened for him.

It was pretty easy to photo match the jersey to a few pics from the Dallas-Detroit series, thanks to the stick mark on the Left Shoulder.

-Scored his 500th point on the road in this jersey
-had a career playoff high 4 point period Vs. San Jose (tied nhl record)

Some nice pick ups. For the guy looking for baseball stuff Steiner Sports has the Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers game used stuff. Also, MLB.com auctions is where many teams sell stuff on. They have some of the game used baseballs for All Star game/Home Run Derby and other events that took place.

There is a tiny hole on the sleeve there but it isnt that easy to see, but that is a pretty dark spot on the jersey in the picture. I guess I will have to wait for the population report to make sure he was wearing the jersey that day.

The Roy jersey seems like it is a low price. Maybe because it was a one game wonder and is autographed on the back.

As far as Forsberg, even though I have my little man crush on him, I think the price is more in line of where his jerseys should be priced and the ones listed on Meigray are overpriced. But I do know if it had the all star patch like the Roy, it would be coming to my house.

I know there are places that will fix composite sticks if they break, but I've never heard of anyone repairing a game stick, only one that they wanted to use again.. if you pay $200 for a stick and you break it, it's a cheaper way to go than buying a new one!

Gelinas A 'Long Shot'

It's also looking unlikely the Predators will re-sign veteran forward Martin Gelinas, who drew praise for his veteran leadership last season. On Tuesday, Poile said he hadn't ruled out re-signing Gelinas, but that he didn't see a spot for him at present.

Additional Shea Memorabilia Goes On Sale Following the Final Regular Season Home Game at Shea

FLUSHING, N.Y., September 12, 2008 – Following significant response to the recent Shea Stadium Seat Sale, the New York Mets today announced that a limited offering of additional Shea memorabilia will go on sale today, Friday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m. at (888) 463-4472 and Shea@MeiGray.com. By signing on as a “Shea Premiere Club” member by this Tuesday, September 16 at 4:00 p.m., a select group of fans will have the unique opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes tour of Shea and purchase the most treasured pieces of history from the Mets home since 1964. Additional Shea memorabilia will go on sale following the final regular season home game at Shea.

Throughout this weekend’s homestand against the Braves, fans will be able to view select memorabilia offerings in the following locations:
Friday, September 12 in the Field Level concourse, first base side
Saturday, September 13 in the Field Level concourse, in front of the Mets Team Store
Sunday, September 14 in the Loge Level concourse, next to the Citi Field Preview Center

The Mets, in conjunction with the MeiGray Group, will offer for sale more than 2,000 unique items from Shea Stadium, including player lockers, the two foul poles, outfield wall panels, section signs and artifacts dating to the stadium’s opening in 1964. Each item will be authenticated by Major League Baseball’s Authentication Program and affixed with a tamper-proof hologram displaying a unique identification number, and shipped with a letter of authenticity from the MeiGray Group.

“There clearly is an interest among our fans and other New Yorkers to own a piece of Shea history,” said Dave Howard, Executive Vice President, Business Operations, New York Mets. “Our new partnership with MeiGray Group provides fans an easy way to get authentic Shea Stadium memorabilia, and through the support of Major League Baseball’s Authentication Program, we are able to ensure peace-of-mind for fans and maximum value for collectors by guaranteeing the authenticity of these historic items.”

Checked some photos on Google and it looks like a match. I asked him if the tape is white or pink as all of the photos I found have sticks with pink grip and on the auction it looks white.


It's definitely white in the auction.. and scrolling through the 5-6 pages on getty of Hull from 01/02, I can see a few pictures late in the season of a white taped stick.. plus this pic from the SI before the season started

Everything looks good about it, right down to the JJC on the namebar. I esp. like the shaved toe on the blade, that's a good sign to me..

If it came from Hockeytown Authentics, even from that year, it would have the hologram. I wish it had it to but I'm inclined to agree with you based on the little bit of research I did and the more extensive research you did. It looks legit.

I live close to Toronto, and don't have a hook up. I just stay in touch with a rep from the company and let her know what I want.

They have a nice selection of stuff. I had my eye on a Rafalski Finals jersey, but had to pass in the end.

Once I had revealed the jersey and it's history, Wayne asked "How much was it, if you don't mind me asking", so I told him, and when Eric heard the price, he leaned a bit over to Wayne and smiled smugly (probably he knows his own jersey goes for $695 and Waynes goes for $395. This one cost a bit more because of the first goal thing)

A nice pair of guys to be sure. took the time to talk and take pics with anyone that wanted (the line up wasn't very long), and Eric told me the meaning behind the initals on the stick tape, they were the initials of his grandparents, which at last solved a small mystery :)

Here is the end to a busy year of GU jerseys for me (unless I get something in the first part of this season)

2007-08 Mike Richards PHI away jersey - w "A" - SET 3.

Used from the end of the season to the 3rd round of the playoffs.

Nice wear overall, which I figured considering his style of play. Best mark is the gash on the left sleeve above the number 8.
