and another guy has both Flame styles that I don't have AS WELL as a Canucks jersey straight from Gelly himself.. that one will NEVER move..

Yes, there is another Gelly jersey collector in NC, he's a very nice man, and actually, he and Martin are good friends. There's another guy who does mostly cards in Vancouver, he has a few jerseys, he's the junior and maybe Canuck jersey. And of course, Martin collects his own stuff.

The Oiler on Classic, no, I'm leaving that .. still debating on the Canucks jersey, Linden was my 2nd favorite on the team. Saving up for the SC Bern auction in March or April ;)

Always curious what they paid myself . I would think that each deal with each team is different . your obviously going to pay a premium to say Washington over Nashville etc

It was okay....a handful of former players like Toby Hall and Pablo Ozuna for $20. Uribe for $50.

Current players like Fields, Owens and Anderson were $100.

AJ was $200, Dye $250 and Konerko was $300.

I was interested in Quentin and Ramirez bats, but they ones they had were splintered really bad and they were asking $300 each.

Game issued Griffey jersey they were asking $2500....not even game used.

no points he was on the ice for 2 of the 3 goals the wings scored and was the 3rd assist on both

Wanted to share these items I won recently on a charity auction...They are pucks used during the AHL 2007 All-Star Competition, donated by MeiGray Group. Each puck came with a COA in a nice folder including a letter stating what player used the puck and in what event. The players included;

Nolan Baumgartner of the Philadelphia Phantoms.....property of the Vancouver Canucks
Nathan Oystrick of the Chicago Wolves...now with the Atlanta Thrashers
Curtis Murphy of the Houston Aeros....playing in the Swiss - A
Kip Miller of the Grand Rapids Griffins...Don't knnow his where-abouts.....

...the cost of each puck ranged from $5.50 to $8.18 ......I figure the puck and the case are worth at least that much.....can't afford the game used jerseys or sticks, but I figured these pucks are kind of cool..

Bloody hell, that was the most 2nd most expensive jersey on the team, only the goalie was more

I wear my GU to games, and occasionally around the house.. the Nystrom goes to games, as it's the only Flames Edge jersey I have, and it's been a lucky jersey to wear for the Flames this year.

The NHL jerseys are washed after every game, and once more before going to Meigray.. No idea if this Swiss jersey is going to arrive with stench included.. I'm not even sure if it's going to ship yet, I think they're still wearing them!

Works out to be about $525 US.. a bit lower than the last batch of Gelly's I got from MGG

Most of the team knows me and have been very cool with me....it's been made clear to them that I'm a huge Blackhawks fan and pure collector.

Holy freaking crap, the jersey from Switzerland arrived this morning.. it was sent on Monday afternoon!!!

what a strange jersey, the whole thing is a very light, silky type of jersey, no fightstrap or double elbows/shoulders like an NHL jersey, everything sublimated except for the numbers, which are just rubber heat pressed on.. light wear, one real good burn and lots of white marks, and the marks are a photomatch :D

Stopped by Hawks practice to try and get some sticks from the guys I'm missing from my collection....I still need Dustin Byfuglien (does not have any sticks with his name on it and he's been using different sticks in hopes of finding one he likes), Niklas Hjalmarsson (said he could possibly given me one later in the season...nothing yet) and Sami Pahlsson (he told me find him at the end of the season, but he was not at practice today).

Anyway, was talking with Versteeg who had promised me a stick a while back, but since I had one of his already, I never really pushed for it....well, he cam through today. It's a model that was given to him to use from Reebok....he practiced with it and didn't like it. He's been using a Nike Bauer One90 in the games....I was hoping for one of those, but I'll take it:

I did it once on Modry Thrashers jersey I once had. I did all the work. I had already found the clear as day match on getty. Emailed them the info and they got the picture and sent it to me. I really like how they do the pictures. Has date, getty ref #. NHL gameworn/MeiGray logo on them. Has Meigray seal stamped into the bottom of the picture. If you look around you will see what they look like. I know vegas puck has some with his Flyers jerseys. He has a cool looking website, with all matches and pictures up with each jersey. I know a few he has MeiGray pictures. They are posted somewhere in this thread as well. I have no idea what his website addy is though. He used post in here, but don't think he has in a long long time.
I'm thinking of getting another one done with Nichol Preds jersey I have. Already have found a bunch of clear matches on it. Kinda cool to put picture with the jersey. Pretty sure Meigray also keeps record of the photomatch. I know the also do it with the NBA stuff. But I've never seen what photos look like. With LeBron jerseys they auctioned. They said the winner would also get the photomatch picture with it.

Just starting to get into the hobby and I have a question (Maybe a stupid one). There's an auction on E-bay right now for a game used Getzlaf jersey set 2 home, the same seller had another for sale earlier this week same home jersey series and year. The seller tells me some players have multiple jerseys made for the same series in a year is that the case. Just seems a bit odd to me. LMK as I would really like to buy it (It does come with a letter from the ducks and is tagged)

I don't have any Ducks jerseys but I do know they have a reputation of churning out the jerseys. The team handles their own jersey sales as opposed to a third party. So, they can make their GU jerseys as available as they would like to the general public. Most teams run three sets through the regular season and the playoffs per year. So, I'm fairly convinced that your story is legitimate. My guess is that the jersey will show light wear.

A star player would probably get more jerseys than normal, due to their ability to sell each one .. I wouldn't say they're churning them out, given the older Penguins notariety for having perhaps a dozen jerseys per year of their stars (how many Lemieux jerseys are auctioned each year, just by Lelands alone?)

The first Getzlaf went for $1125.. Hockeygamers.com (Chris Caputo) has a rookie year jersey ( think it's then, could be 2nd year) with lots of repairs and wear for $1500.. If you really want a Getz, get that one. It's also Meigray tagged I believe
