Avery is very talented and people did not realize that he was since they had over whelming hate. Which is one reason why I put him as my Icon and as my Signature.

Here is me wearing the Left Glove of Sean Avery. That is right I did not win both gloves I only got the left glove. What I bought was a Mystery Envelope for 50 bucks and I got that. Since it is an unbelievable pain in the ass just to walk around carrying crap I decided to put the glove on. After wearing it I am seriously considering my next pair of gloves to be TPS. Wow they are nice gloves. I also have my Armstrong Robitaille night jersey on since Luc already signed it I got that signed today at the Kings Tip-A-King event.

i will agree the caps have a lot of the same type of players on the team
but as a fan of clymer's i am kind of bias as to him getting traded

there is a thread on the caps message board about him going to the pens {which would actually make me sick to my stomach} amd there has been a lot of bashing of him over there this season so last night i went about looking up stuff about him and he is having the same kind of year {in which was a career year for him} as he had last year
only thing that was really bad this year was his plus/minus {-17} but a lot of that came when they flipped him to D

now i know that a -17 is not all that great but when you star player is a -14......

i know it's is very much comparing apples to oranges

Finally, the Oilers used a special Messier Night logo game puck last night. Oilers-MGG collected 19 game-used pucks and the three goals from the game. The three goals and 16 game-used pucks will be up for auction. Two of the gamers are already up for auction for the Edmonton Oilers Foundation. The other puck was sent to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Personally I do not like getting my jersey signed. I believe in the keep it how it was on the ice school of thought. There is only one jersey I have gotten signed from the player and that was Armstrong to sign my Robitaille retirement night jersey. The only reason why I got Derek Armstrong's signature on that sweater is because Robitaille had already signed it.

Honestly I think it is more of a personal thing. If you are going to keep the jersey and want it autographed. Then go out and try to get it Autographed. It is your jersey and you should do anything you want to it. Even burn it if you wanted. Wear it, do whatever you want to it. If it is Autoed, and you try to sell it. It might get less money from some people and maybe more from others. It really all depends.

I agree with Kingsfan and Avsfan.. My Hurricanes jersey came autographed, as they usually do, and it didn't bother me..

A big personalized auto however would prevent me from buying in many cases, unless it was a major grail. Especially on a number, they're near impossible to remove, something on the jersey fabric can be removed however.

LMAO....Brew. Thanks for the pictures. Personalizations are not my bag either whether or not there intended for me or especially somebody else. I think the 'Canes jersey looks great like that. The Flame rendition looks busy and distracting IMO I guess if you had a relationship with a player beyond the typical fan/athelete intraction, a personalization might be in order and a true keepsake. Or, like you alluded to, if it's a a much sought after item and the price is right ect but it's personalized, I think I could live with it. Thanks again for the thoughts and pictures.

the gloves have some wear to them and the jersey doesn't really have all that much use on it but a few stick marks here and there on the sleeves

I know what you mean on the photomatch. My Belanger really only has a tiny stick mark in the logo. It isnt really that noticeable. Nothing that you can pick out of a picture. I am sure I can find pictures of the jersey that I have since I know it is from set 3 of 2005-2006, but you cant really tell from marks or anything.

About the so and so retirement night jerseys. I honestly dont care for them. If they were the actually jerseys worn in the game I would have more interest, but I dont really care about the warm-up one with all the same number on the back. I want one with their actual number.

Those Kings vintage jerseys are sweet. Did NHL.com auction them? That vintage series was a cool idea. I wish the original six jerseys came back. Was 91-92 when Chicago, Detroit, Boston ect used them. I got a fight dvd from that season and I love seeing Probert and Grim Reaper throw down in the barber pole jerseys!

Yep you guessed it. How did you know ;) It almost didn't happen though. I wasn't going to bid on it and then my girlfriend convinced me to do it. So I stayed up for the auction but fell asleep at 11:45 and somehow woke up at 12:21 with 9 minutes to go. I was only going to bid once and that wound up being the winning bid. Instead of looking at the jersey as a one game wonder, I'm looking at it as a one of a kind item and I'm glad I bid...........but I think I need to have my head examined :D :D Also the money went to a good cause instead of Meigray (sorry Barry:p ).

Interesting to see how they operate there. Not a member on that site so no legitimate insigtht other then this tidbit. I saw they had an auction recently. I scanned the auction listings and decided to try to do a little research. I tried to look at the "Past Auction" link but the link provided no data base. I tried a few more times over a couple days time and still nothing. I eventually called them and mentioned that I'd like to view past auction results but I could not find them. The person told me they were not there for viewing. I then asked when the data base would be available. He told me it would not. I mentioned that I thought that was a poor business approach and it makes it appear as if they have something to hide and I would not be participating. I got hung up on at that point. Amazing what damage can be done via a phone call. I guess I have more insight as to the reason they would not want completed auctions available for viewing now.Thanks for posting this info Brew.

Jarome is very fan friendly, I have met him a couple times and never asked for his auto, my little brothert got so many things signed by him when he was younger. The Belanger I ordered was the Home Set 2 which was only used in two games for Belanger. I want Set three but Barry said they may price that more depending on how Atlanta does in the playoffs. Of course if they go out quick I doubt it would be much more. I'm pretty sure I'll have my choice come that time. Teams hold set two until seasons end so they have a backup for the playoffs.

Nice Caps jersey Riddler. Every once in awhile a few of the F1 teams will have stuff available through their website. The Raikkonen piece is actually supposed to be a table but I could just picture a friend or family member scratching it or breaking it. I got the Joe Juneau from a recent Lelands internet auction. They stopped making that style jersey after the 94-95 season so they are not the easiest jersey to find for sell but they are out there. If your looking for a specifics like a certain player, year and home/away version your in for a struggle. Otherwise, your best bet is to watch the major auction houses or check dealers sites.

Awesome collection and display. What is it about NFL game worn jerseys that makes them look like they were run over by a truck while crumpled up. All the wrinkles they have in the to me takes away from them a bit.

How exactly do pre-orders work on Meigray? Do they charge your card at order or when it ships? I was thinking of pre-ordering an Avs jersey and was wondering if I should do the Layaway option.

for pre-orders.. you pick from the list, or they call you to tell you someone on your wishlist is now wearing a jersey, let's say maroon set 3, which will go into the playoffs.. you put down 25% to hold the jersey. When the season ends, or the set ends, whichever, the team ships the jerseys to Meigray, they check the tagging etc, to make sure that's the same jersey they tagged before the guy wore it, and then give you a call or email. You pay the rest and they ship it out, you get it in about 2 days. I'm not sure about layaway.. you work out something with them, and it can go on an individual case by case basis, but for a first time buyer, you probably have to pay 25% per month or something, and then it ships when it's paid off.

3rds are gone after this year, remember.

Thanks for the link. I have not seen any used in a NHL game yet. Has anyone else? Very pricy minimum bids for the vast majority of players who sticks would never command any where near the opening bid requirement. Good to see they are all autographed. I would like to see them all used for an entire NHL game as mandatory as opposed to practice, warm-ups or game use. It's all about exposure for a great cause so they need to be seen on TV and in the arenas. Just a bit dissappointed how the auction is set up. I'll probably still try to acquire one though.

I was looking through Getty and Yahoo Ranger pics to see if Lundqvist used one and I didnt see any.

I also like where it talks about how they might not be TPS sticks, just have the TPS pink stick paint scheme painted over the other brand paint scheme.

I was at the Ranger game last night and they used the pink sticks in pre-game warmups. And Lundqvist did use one. To me it is not the same that the sticks were used in warmups, especially the way they word it in their auctions. They should be made to state that it is a warmup stick and not actually game used. And the sticks were only used 1-2 minutes on average for each player though a few did use them for almost a whole five minutes. I appreciate what they are trying to do with raising money for a good cause but I feel they should word it better what they are auctioning.

The pink stick auctions are for a good cause so I don't mind the high starting bids. Also, the auction makes it clear the sticks are not necessarily used in games, but practices and pregame.

Several players have used them in games, most notably Mike Comrie. His mother died from cancer when he was a kid and he scored a goal and assisted on another using his pink stick last night. Comrie will probably bid on the stick and buy it back... he did so last year.

I think I have decided to bid on Chris Clark's pink stick. He's used it for the entire first period in the Caps/Lightning game so far. I have not noticed anyone else on either team using one yet. No surprise that he would step forward and use it. He's all class.

Great pics so far on finding the pink sticks. Really thinking about getting one. I just wish Meigray was running the auctions, then I'd be all over one for sure. I tried for MLB pink bat from Mother's day games last season, but always got outbid. Even fringe player's bats were going for well over $500. So a stick for in the $250 range isn't that bad for a great cause. I take it all of them have the player's names stamped on them?

I picked up this game issued 2005-06 Capitals home jersy awhile back. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. It's probably too large to wear as its a size 58. The name plate has been removed prior to me purchasing it. Some ideas include-

1) Convert it to an Ovechkin jersey

2) Convert it to # 68 and put a P. Donna nameplate on it

3) Put my last name on it-Bell

4) Leave it as purchased.

So far #4 has won out. Anyone else purchase game issued jerseys? Any customizations?

Being size 58, it would be pretty hard to wear unless you want yourself a Caps Dress. I would probably leave it unless you got a good deal on it.
