Also I am interested to see the Population Report from this year. I am wondering if Budaj has worn more than 1 3rd jersey this year.

They had many sticks when I went, Hamrlik, Phaneuf, Huselius, Nilson, McCarty, Noodles, Langkow, Stuart, Ritchie, those are the ones I can remember, They got stock in sporadically is what I was told.

That is when I detiremended I was a Jersey nut. While watching games I'd see a rip and go. Damn that is going to be a shirt with a Nice repair. Look at the stick mark on that one.

You can do both on Meigray. They are really cool about it.

Also for NHL jerseys that are on Pre Order they take 25% deposit for the jersey and 75% when the jersey comes in. They do a really good job with that. So on a 400 dollar jersey you pay 100 now and 300 when the player stops using it,

Bolzano Foxes of the Italian League. Belanger had something like 26 points in 15 games while in Bolzano. He wore 4 jerseys in his time there 2 with the number 27 and 2 with the number 18. I picked up one of the number 27 jerseys and a Replica 18. I was going to get the Red one but the Trainer lost it.

Now when I showed Belanger at Tip-A-King last year he smelled the jersey and when I told him it wasn't game worn he asked how I got it and I told me from a guy in Italy who is a jersey collector. He said, "It was hard to get one I had to stole it. I had to stole the red one to have one for myself."

Yes his English needs work as me and my sister were laughing. Of course we did not want to correct his English. So I wonder if that is where my jersey went lol.

The Gold set got used for two games and the Purple set for only once. They also auctioned a Gold Set which was used only in Warm Ups. The Belanger in that one went for 1,200. I got both the Purple and Gold Belanger's for that price.

DOH.. I hate that.. last year, it snowed heavily on the 2nd day of delivery, so the planes were all late and the delivery times all got shoved back 3 days :(

White jerseys are better for showing stick marks etc, as well as the huge hole that was made when Iggy fought Mitchell.. repairs usually contribute to a jerseys value, the bigger or more there are, the better.

I got my Gelinas in the 2004 summer sale, so it was nice and cheap.. I just wish I'd been around the year before, so I could have picked up a black one as well..

now for a little backstory

a couple months ago the wife and I headed down to caps practicce and I had 2 ovy chases to get signed

well mom and dad ovechkin seen me holding them and sent their translator over to me to find out about them

I told them I got 1 of them off ebay and the other from the board

well they wanted one of them
I told them they could just have it as a gift but they would not hear of it so that day I got a hat that all the players
came out of the locker room with

ever since that day whenever poppa ovy seen me at games he would always make sure that he said hi to me

well monday I headed back down to practice with my little backpack of goodies in tow to get some autos

after practice was over I headed out to have a smoke and wiat for the players to start coming out and over came
poppa ovy and his translator
they strike up a conversation but poppa can not take his eyes off my backpack
he asks to see what was in it so I took out the 6"reg and the 3" I had in there

well he wanted those too...lol

so after talking to him thru the translator {in which if you have never had a conversation thru a translator might I suggest that you try cuz it's kinda fun}
anyway he wants to pay for them and I tell him just to take them cuz I get enough autos from his son and he will not hear of it
and that is not the way they do things in russia so I tell him just o give me 20.0 and we will call it a day {scalper, damn me}

he also says that he would like 3-4 more of these before they head back to russia next week
I told him I would see what I could do but before that I was wondering if there was anyway I could possibly get a stick from his son

he tells me to wait there and he will get one for me

after a bit he goes inside and I made my way down to where players are coming out

when alex came out I wanted to get my base signed and all of a sudden alex's dad is standing next to me yelling at alex in russian

alex tells me to come to next practice and he will give me a stick


fast forward to last night at the game

I am outside having a smoke during 1st intermission and heading back inside when poppa ovie and his translator stop me and tell me to meet them at the exit to the parking garage and he will get me a stick tonight...I am floored now....SAWEET I am thinking

well after standing there for about an hour
here comes the black range rover with poppa ovy driving and alex's brother in the front seat

alex's brother hands me the stick and tells me "please don't sell"

believe me
it's never going to be up for sale at all

Lol Gamers of course is Game Worn jerseys. We got lazy and decided to call them Gamers.

Also Meigray will try to clear some jerseys out sometimes and they'll put like 70 jerseys at 99.99. I remember I tried to get my hand on a Mike Grier Sabres Alternate last year. I ended up with a 200.00 Mike Cammalleri jersey. Great jersey considering the year that he had.

You can also email Meigray and have them look for a photo-match. They have getty access and can blow up the picture and see things that you can't really see clear from the pics you see for free on the getty site. They are little spendy though. Something like $30 for 8x10. They do certify and stamp the photo with a seal and have the date and info on the picture.They'll check the photos and print a nice photo for $30 with the jersey's registered number etc OR if you email that jgulino guy with a getty number, he'll send you the 1MB jpg for $5, but you take a chance that it's not really a photomatch..

well after pondering my next purchase, I have decided to not put a deposit down on the next Iginla Jersey. I just can't see myself spending $2500 on one jersey when I could get 5 for that price of other flames players. I will have to suffice with my current Flames Skills Competition Jersey worn by him. I am now addicted to this hobby and will be making another purchase soon :)

Kold a lot of people have the same thought you do. One really good jersey at 2500 or 5 players at 500. It's a very interesting subject matter. Personally right now I'd rather have a lot of jerseys instead of a couple really expensive ones. Those in time will come.

Have fun collecting. Personally though I'd wait for the Summer Sale.

Most likely you wont get any help on the Nords shirts as those are rare. If it's on the NHL MGG site(www.nhlgameworn.com) it maybe half off or buy one get one at the same price or less for free.

When it happens we'll all know. Usually Meigray is awesome with it.

Blah I don't like what the Thrashers did for shirt off your back night. They gave away white jerseys, while they were still wearing the blue ones they wore during the game. Who knows if they actually worn them or not.

I watched some of Blue Jackets final home game and they showed clips of them doing a shirt off the back and the player's still had their jerseys on and handed the fan another jersey they had folded up. I wonder what the deal was with some of these? Will have to see what shows up in the Thrashers population report on Meigray with this
