Oh I am dead broke. I need to pay for my hockey league on Monday. My dad bought the Pink sticks so that saved me money.

I need to pay off my Dad because right now I owe him for the Armstrong jersey and the Land Portion of my London trip. I'll have it eventually once when I start working over summer. June 1st I get an automatic pay raise at my job so that will help.

I want a Conroy Kings. When he was here in LA he was one of my favorites and the couple of times that I met him he was the nicest person to deal with.

I have met Conroy as well, defintelt a class act. near the end of the season, the players were not signing auto's but Conroy came over and just chatted with us for 20 mins or so after a game. Great guy

My latest. Van Ryn Panthers third from this past season. Always wanted Panthers red with stick breaking logo. He used 2 jerseys in the set and I can only find 2 flippin pictures on getty and neither is that good.

I looked at all my Gelinas pics, and none of the red ones had Van Ryn in it.. also, re-snap that second picture and fold the sleeves the same way you did in the frontal shot.. the way you have them now, we can't see the other number on the sleeve, you folded it to show the same numbers that are visible in the front pic ;) hard to look for matches when we can't see all the sleeves.

What he usually did was wait until the Summer Sale and buy them at 50% off. Then put them on his own website for Regular price or like 75%. That way he'd still pull a profit.

I have a Replica BK jersey. I want an authentic so bad and even a GW but they are expensive.

Just a little tidbit of those BK Shirts. B West bought 5 in about 2 weeks for about a total of 30K. Story was relayed by a friend of mine. I'll explain more tomorrow.

Ok here is the B West and the BK Shirts.

Well a friend of mine is a really big collector and really high end as well. Back in the mid 90's the Kings had a tent sale. Well he picked up six Burger King jerseys. Now if they player was no longer on the team it was only $75. Yes only $75 and around $300 for normals.

Well last year he had all but one BK jersey left which was an Ian Laperriere jersey(I want one so bad but probably never will get one). Well he was interesting in buying another and contacted Barry Meisel who had a Tony Granato with A. I don't remember the exact price but Barry told him because he wont flip it for a higher price he'd sell it for $3,500. Well he said he'd get back to Barry.

Well I guess this is where Bob gets involved as he likes jerseys like that so he calls Barry up. Barry lets my friend know and he agrees that he should sell the jersey to Bob. So Barry sells the Granato to Bob for $7,500. So then I guess when people started to hear this they offered their shirts. My friend sold his Laperriere for $4,500 and others including Matias Norstrom as well as a couple other players were sold. Mostly around the $3,500-$4,500 dollar range. He did this all within about two weeks. While doing all this he was also buying Anaheim's Wild Wing shirts and Tampa Bay's horrific alternate as well.

Each jersey was then put up on his site for $500 more then what he bought it for. Now they are not on the site.

According to my friend he is currently buying all the Predators' thirds he can get his hands on and for the most part has cornered the market on the Dallas Stars third jerseys. Apparently only a few have slipped past him.

Surprised any of them were worn since like 7 games were rained out that day. I honestly didnt like the whole thing. I thought it was dumb that half the team was wearing the same number. Thanks fellas The stick shows real nice use for one game. Chris had an assist with it. Sorry about the blurry pictures. When I have more time to refine my camera and technique, I'll post better pictures. I think this stick was carried via mule and buggy for the majority of the trip South but it did FINALLY arrive.

Has to be a huge relief that your guys pink sticks finally showed up. I have no patience waiting very long for stuff. I wanted one, but decided to hold off and try and land a bat. I see mlb.com has up a Mench pink bat from last season. Shows little to no use. Does have his mom's name on it. Here is my one and only game used bat I own. Angel Berroa, went from AL rookie of the year a few years ago, to now in in the minors. I hope he gets traded to a decent team. Also, is a picture of pink bat promotional stamped bat from last year. I need a pink gamer. I hope a ton hit auction later this month.

Well I was looking at the Blues Hinote jerseys and they have set 3 GIs for the same price as the other ones. I was like 600 bucks for a Hinote GI is insane. 600 bucks for a gamer Hinote is too much as it is.

If anyone had bid $110, they'd have won! :eek:

I love stories like this, I recently won a CC Clemens on ebay for only $15 because of this reason, and nobody else would bid because of driving up the price since I had increased my max bid by only a dollar so it looked like I had trenched a deeper bid.

Just had to wait till I got back from the Expo in Toronto to pay him....but he knew I was going to. Had to see how much I was going to spend there to see if I needed to do a payment plan we talked about or pay all at once. I paid him the night I got back. I couldn't resist it while he had it on ebay.

I haven't picked up anything from NHL.com yet. The ones I had my eyes on went ridiculously high. I'm watching a few Flyers right now, but I'm going to try to hold out for the Kovalchuk to go with the jersey.

Believe me...I didn't want to....haha. But it has some historical significance being a gamer from Canada's first gold medal in hockey in years. Plus, he dropped his price by about $500 from his first offer to me a year ago. I'd rather have a LeClair '96 World Cup USA jersey....but I can handle the Gagne. Besides...if he gets traded, it wouldn't be hard to move.

Stu from Meigray brought a Lindros '91 Canada Cup jersey to the expo.....I almost drooled on it. It was amazing!

The packaging could be a little bit better. They basically stuck the stick in the box and shipped it. A tiny piece of bubble wrap around the auto on the blade. You could hear the stick rattling around when the box moved.

It comes with two COAs. One is about the size of LOA saying the stick was used on such a date. Then there is a COA for the autograph on a smaller COA with a matching hologram on it.

Know when Giles and I were at the last few thrashers games we went to we would hang out around when the players come out of the locker room. They had the stick racks set up there as well. It really all depends on the player. Some players had maybe 1 extra stick while others had as many as three extra sticks. Kovy was one for sure that had quite a few sticks of course he goes through sticks like water. Although I the onces I have seen are all the same brand and color. Although Belanger did change his stick later on I guess. He used a red and black nike stick I believe, but the one on the auction is black and silver one.

It is a Bauer One 90 model stick it is Blue/Black/Silver. I am not sure what Belanger does he seems to switch sticks at the drop of a dime. I also found a pic of him using a White and Blue TPS Stick during the Maple Leafs game.

The guy I got it from also has video from the NBC feed of Gagne walking off the ice. In the video you can see the marks along the front for a nice video match. He's trying to convert it to DVD format for me now. So hopefully I'll have that for ya soon.

it will be close to 135 US depending on the conversion rate. What they do is you bid 100 then they convert it to canadian then convert it back using your bank's or credit card's conversion rate what ever that is. I think mine came out to like 202 instead of like a even 200.

I am lucky that my father is a collector. So while I collect the jerseys he mostly pays for the SP's. Although I usually buy a case and a couple figs every now and then.

I usually do all the Legends and chases, but I quit on the regular series. Just didn't like the player selection that much. I'll probably stick to chases for the regular set, and buy a ton of Gagne when he comes out.

For Date Movie, Meh, When I worked on the road as a Semi Driver I bought a lot of movies off other drivers for 5 bucks just to have to watch. I have a Lot of crap in my collection, just to lazy to box the embarasing movies up =D

Man I was just about to Email Barry to tell him to hold off shipping my jersey until after Memorial day. When I open up my email to send the email the shipping notice for it is already in there. Doh. I am not sure what I am going to do I am leaving to tomorrow and wont be back until after Memorial day. It should be here on Monday.

Thanks, SinCityFlyer! Are you in Vegas? I was there the past 5 years and couldn't find another Flyers fan in the whole city....so my wife had an easy time convincing me to move back to San Antonio.


Also...I'm praying my latest win comes through. I was bidding on some stuff in GreyFlannel auctions, but lost all the game used items I was going after. I did put a modest bid on the lone hockey card they had up. Put the bid in a month ago and forgot about it. Today, I get a winning bidder notification e-mail.....I can't believe what I won...and for the price. I just hope they come through....
