good story about the jerseys first though

they ran 4 sessions for the caps sale
9,10,11 {all for sth} and the 1:30-4:00 for the rest

i was in at 10 but had a helper who went in at 9

one of the guys that was first in line ran inside and scooped up like 30 jerseys
not sure what all he got

i didn't spend too much time loking at the jerseys as there was a few people there and i was lugging stuff around

but 150.00 for a gamer is a pretty good deal

now i wished i would have dropped the 500.00 on the kolzig leg pads they had but i still made a pretty nice haul {for who i collect}

Great haul!! Looks like the trip to Arlington was well worth it today for you. I have always liked the look of those practice jersies. I ended up not working today but I did not find the motivation to make the trip. Thanks for the offer to help though. Yeah I quite agree, I have a broken Ovechkin stick from 03/04 (ex-Dinamo) and even back then he taped it right to the end. I've never seen him tape his blades differently.

Decided to skip the Nassie Game used stick, it only went for 39 which I would have at least taken on the flyer it was real.

Then, Looking though my Nassie cards this morning, Two of his Rookies show him using that exact style Titan stick. And for the date Nas wouldnt be a mass produced stick, so it was very very likely the real deal.

McCabe as much as I dont like him and think he will be gone same price as Kaberle for a 3rd jersey which I love might be a good deal as well. However, I do see around 7-8 McCabe jerseys and I dont see them selling them any time soon.

Sucked. Virtually no goalie equipment. No goalie sticks. A billion Sedin sticks. A lot of crap for cheap. Best deal were practic jersesy for $25

There was 3 or 4 sets of pads left 3 gloves and 1 blocker..

Plus I saw a couple people with stuff in there hands...That's the most I've see in a couple years..

Practice Jersey's for $20 were good deals.. All were 2 years old (KOHO) or New non numbered...
There was a few Training Camp jerseys from last years sale so no good players
I did see a couple sets of Voodoo RHI gloves and one set of 90's canucks colored gloves with no name.

Piles of used socks for $5 didn't see any marked with names or #'s

If you were in the market for sticks you might have gotten something good as there was several hundred available to start. I saw people with like 5-10 in hand at one time. The practice jerseys were a good deal as well. Lots of pants but some were so stinky I did even want to pick them up. I wanted a pair of pro quality socks but was not going to wait in the line (looked like 45min when I left).

NHL Alumni have some Ducks Stanley Cup Finals sticks on NHL Auctions.

The Canucks sale wasnt bad. I dont really know what people expected but here is what was there....


4 or 5 tables full of players skates ranging from $50 to $150
2 tables of new socks and 2 tables of used....no number notification on them
visors, used
goalie pads, 4 sets. Hedberg, Sabourin, and 2 unmarked sets, one looked familiar to what Cloutier used. There was also Hedbergs blocker and trapper.

Numerous sets of hockey pants, the only number tagged ones I could find were Santala, Kesler and Ohlund...there was a pair with #11 on the inner tag, but they looked too new to be Messiers.

About 10 brand new authentic goalie cut jerseys, for $135 whihc was a really good deal I think

3 tables of gloves, some in the $75 price range, others in the $30 price range

4 racks of used and un-used practice jerseys in all colours, some numbered, some not

About 200-300 sticks layed out on the ground. Various players remained when I finally got in, but the selection was pretty picked over. I went through them all, and found 6 Sedin sticks, and took two of them home of course :)

All in all, I thought the sale was ok. They let season ticket holders in at 9am, Inside Edge fans (which includes me) in at 9:45 and the general public in at 11. I was watching the season ticket holders grab a TON of stuff...

Some people were carting out like 10 practice jerseys, pants gloves and about 20 sticks!!!! So unless you were in there in the first 20 minutes, you dont really know how good the selection was. One guy showed me the sticks he got on the way out....NASLUND, along with both Sedins and Linden.



My haul was a game used Henrik and Daniel sticks, and Sami Salo gloves. My old man picked up Morrison and Ohlund gloves!!!

Exactly! It really pisses me off that just because I cant afford season tickets that the people who have the luxury of being able to get first dibbs on stuff like this. I lined up at 7am and season ticket clowns were showing up right at 9 and got in before me. It really sucks that they disappoint the average Joe fan yet again. I firmly believe that any 06/07 jerseys that survived the 30% sale should be 50% off for the summer sale.. I know BM said that the deals wouldn't be any better, but if it survives 30% off, maybe prices should drop .. I was just reviewing the Flames inventory, and I see there are many Iginla, Kiprusoff, Phaneuf left, as well as Tanguay, Amonte, etc etc..

And all preseaons should be $100 across the board so I can get Taratukhin, Pelech, Nystrom, Irving and many many more for very cheap and I have joy :D

Also, I'm thinking about getting some youngsters jerseys, Brady Calla from the Panthers and Brett Palin from the Flames. Brady graduated high school in Kelowna with my wife's brother last year, and Brett is a Nanaimo boy (where I'm from) who also played for the Kelowna team in jr. I also have a little fantasy running in my head at the moment.. The sale prices are not listed; if you pay via credit card, they will adjust the price before processing the payment. If you are paying via Paypal, you can either wait for them to confirm the price, or go ahead and do the math yourself and send them the payment :)

I'm in the same boat - never bought anything from Meigray before. With the info I'm reading so far, this whole sale process seems pretty half-assed to me. I'm not paying for anything until the seller gives me the bottom line price - not "wait and see" or "do the math yourself" :rolleyes:

It's like Brew said. Just check out and check money order/check option. That way you know the jerseys are your's and off the site. Then just request your final total if you don't want to just figure it out yourself. There is no discount on shipping. I've only ever used paypal with them. they do have a discount on shipping, for myself, when they ship to Canada, the first jersey is $30 for UPS, and the second is only $5 (cuz they fit in the same box I suppose). Perhaps the 3rd and 4th need a new box and get more than $5 more..

Yep, they post it on the site, it will be on the front page. I know most in here know they have 2 sites going. That confused me the first time when they did a deal with having some for $99. I only knew of the meigray.com site and was wondering where all these people were looking for these jerseys I never saw. I'd say between 7-8 eastern time.
