Boxing Figures?? Petition...?!

I know there have been threads before, but I tried looking and it keeps coming up with no topic results.

so what's the deal? Does McFarlance think they won't sell? I think they'd surely be profitable with all the historic names, memories and histroy that goes with many of the fighters. Many of them are symbols today. Even if the sport currently is in trouble, everyone has/had a fighter they loved.

There are currently Ali's being released, but what about Rocky Marciano, Sugar Ray Robinson, Evander Holyfield, Roy Jones Jr., Floyd Mayweather Jr., Floyd Patterson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Jake LaMotta, Willie Pep, Oscar De La Hoya, Marvin Hagler, Mike Tyson, Bernard Hopkins, the list goes on and on...

What do you guys think and who would you buy?

I'd be all for Floyd Mayweather, Sugar Ray Robinson, Roy Jones, LaMotta, Pacman, etc.

I can just imagine the licensing nightmares behind this line. It would be really cool to have some of the greats though.

I would definitely like to see some boxing action figures produced by McFarlane Toys but if a series line is made into production then it would probably be 3 to 4 figures per series and in low production runs since the fan base for it is not as huge as football or soccer.

I wouldn't buy any, but I guess they may have some success.......sorta like all the Ali/Frazier SLU 2 packs that were at Job Lots on clearance. Then again, those were actual dolls compared to plastic statues so I don't know.
