Why is this cover not included in the collection that will be sold for charity? Tod's the only artist that his cover won't be in the collection.

I am pretty sure it is- they are selling them in sections. Check out the other auctions- I saw Rob Osborne's, Humberto's, and some others up for grabs.

Can you give us any insight on why Todd McFarlane's Ultimate Spider-Man cover will not be collected with the rest of them? Was that decision made by Marvel or from McFarlane himself? Also can you give us any more details on when the hardcover will be released and will it be made available from Marvel or the HERO Initiative?
Joe Quesada: That was a stipulation that Todd asked for in order to do the piece for HERO, we are merely honoring that request by not including it in the publication. If Todd tells us otherwise we’d love to have it in.

nope, a while ago there was a thread about the foot. it destroys the piece in my eyes.

I'd love for it to be collected into a printed book, since i can't afford to bid for the original.

But Todd doesn't want to, at least we can capture a jpeg.

Agreed. If this wasn't spawn.com, I'm thinking there wouldn't be so much ass-kissery over this cover, to be honest.

I like Todd and all, but it's all about the bling.
