Had a chance to see him about 12 yrs ago, but missed out. He's older and maybe lost a step or two, but still a musical icon. You'll enjoy his show.

I'm pretty sure that society turned their back on Tenacious and now he's getting his payback by making poor insults.

It's Willie not Willy damnit! :)

Willie is my favorite of all time. He's 71 now and he's lost alot of vibrato in his voice. But hell the man's a living legend. He puts on a good show and while you're there, notice how good his guitar skills are. The guy can flat out play the strings.

I've seen him 7 times.

I would have loved to have seen him in the 70's but I did get to see him in Luckenbach, Texas with Waylon the only time they actually played there together.

Have fun and enjoy it, because he's semi retiring soon and will be down here in Texas for what's left of his storied life.

And if anyone here is much of a reader I suggest you pick up his hilarious autobiography or The Tao of Willie.

I think the taxman took 10 yrs off his life. Bad advice given to a good guy. And I'm not even a CW fan, but still have a couple of his cd's from the 70's.

:( geek tragedy ):

There is a guy I totally must see before he dies. I won't forgive myself if I don't. He does not get to Colorado much though.

Maybe Willie doesn't have alot of fond memories from his time in Colorado. Not that Colorado isn't one of the coolest states in America...it's just that he and his second wife used to live in Colorado and that's where she kind of found out, via checking the mail one day, that a birth certificate came for Willie's new son... with another woman...none of which she had the slightest idea.

You guys can always come down here to Texas. Allegedly Willie's helping to rebuild Carl's Corner (south of Dallas) and turn it into a place where people can come down and jam with him in his semi retirement.

Remember the song list?

Don't tell me, let me guess a few, started with Whiskey River and ended with Whiskey River?
