Struck out at 4 Walmarts last night! Not looking good for the chase pieces! If everyone hates the Leafs so much, why can't I find a fuggin Sundin, and Leetch chase! :( :mad: Looks like 6-8 cases were put out at a Barrie Walmart. No chase left, but good news! It looks like collectors got them all! :rolleyes: I am so sick of the chase! Might be time to bail on this hobby soon! Markville put out 2 cases just before I got there! I ran into a guy with 4 regs in his hand, and he told me he saw the 2 stockers take 4-6 figs to the back room when they opened the box! If I had seen that, there would of been a scene, that I can tell you! I wanted to tell the manager, but he told me to forget it! What good would it do anyways! I would love to get kicked out for making a scene! Sorry that crap pisses me off, especially when they have the balls to do it right in front of you! :mad:

Hi Troy,

I know what your talking about at Markville. It seems that the kid that works in the toy section likes to open up the boxes as they come off the skids and pretend to stock the shelf. He then picks out what he wants and hides them in the back. I saw him do this with the last football series. I didn't want to make a scene...but the dudes does it right in front of you. He doesn't even try to hide it. Needless to say I don't go there any more.

Honestly, it would probably be easier for you to drive to Niagara Falls, Ont to get this stuff and cheaper too considering the cost of shipping to the US.
Otherwise I would advise posting in the BST with an offer to trade for an item that is only available in the US... like a 12" Holmes.

i kinda quit hunting....just get lucky here and there....for me ebay is the way to go....

what got me really pissed off was NHL 6...went to toys r us everyday in hopes of scoring a roy variant (maroon or 3rd jersey)....found nothing and heard that the employees scalped all the variants and a few actually got the 3rd jersey....one dude actually went to the back to get me a roy reg and told me it was the variant....i guess to make me happy so i wouldnt complain about how they cracked open the cases and pulled all the variants....

They got in 1 Fedorov Red Wings, which one of the guys working there really wanted, I got the Leetch that came in and paid $29.99 for it.
Honestly, I don't mind it, because i know I can get them there pretty regularly.

I am still looking for a Hull-Blues!!!

Also, I invited the guy from Silver Smail to drop in on the board, he mentioned that he collects NHL regs, but some variants. His collecting habits sound similar to mine... want to have the regs and the retro versions that come out.
Additionally, he mentioned that there are 2 of them at Silver Snail that collect SPs and they help some other people out to round out their collection..
I must say that I like the people that work there, they are helpful and assist collectors as much as they can..
