The damaged one you got would still get you $400-$500 and maybe more when Bonds comes back.
If nobody wants it, i'll just keep it and wait til Bonds comes back and hopefully get over $900US for it when he goes over Babe Ruth's record and closer to Hank Aaron's. Too bad he's injured and he won't get to Hank's record this year, but according to news he should be back early July.

I don't really follow baseball much anymore, but is he really hurt, or do you think he was taking time off to clear the juice out of his system?? I just got that feeling about him missing the first part of the season.

It's sad for the people who buy this stuff to have, not to make a buck on! I have been every day to 2-4 Walmarts since they were about to hit, and every day since! Nada! :( I don't think the majority of them ever see the floor! :mad: I won't pay $30 -$40 for a new chase piece! Never, ever! :rolleyes: I want them to mak everything 50/50. That's what I want! ;)

I agree with the lack of interest in the hobby, the fact that I am not overly concerned with the hunting anymore, there are some figures that I want, but others that I feel are a waste of time and effort.

A few months ago I started looking at my collection and trying to decide what to do with it, I have so many garbage figures that I should just melt with a magnifying glass, but the amount of effort that went into getting these is crazy!!

I think it is close to time to look at what I have, determine what I want to keep and then dump the rest of them.

I am thinking of sticking with my favourite teams, players and 'other cool figures'. I am also thinking of getting customs made instead, I could have the exact player that I want without the wait.
With the upcoming release of the Moises Alou and Larry Walker, I might buy them to get them repainted, might do that with Vlad Guerrero too, as I'd like them all in their Expos colours. Maybe get some others done too, like some old hockey players, old Jays, maybe the odd Buffalo Bill or Argo, think of Terry Greer, Rocket Ismail or Condredge Holloway in the double blue!! Even getting a custom Sidney Crosby in an Rimouski jersey would be pretty cool.
Even my autograph collection has gotten to the point where I can't display it all anymore!!!
And to think that I have accomplished both of these in under 3 years is nutty.

That Bonds for $1000 is tempting, but then I think about what I could do with that money (materials to renovate a bathroom) and I realize that my priorities need a little shift from the 'toy collection' that I have accumulated.

Anyway, I am going to try and post the pictures of the stuff I got from our corporate tournament last week, all the auto pucks etc. Hopefully be able to do that tonight.

I haven't been to a store since then, I just picked up the reg Joe N and Khabby and that was all I wanted from this series... I might get a Kipper, but I am still not sure about that.

according to the Sports board....some people in Ontario have found some NHL11 in TRU's already. Someone said Belleville had them today, and Dom found some at Woodbridge TRU I think. Might be worth the hunt tomorrow at TRU's.

crazy!...hows the end of the NHL 11 hunt going for everyone?...im heading downtown tommorrow and i'll try to look out for cheap stuff...if anyone needs anything let me know....i'll check the boards tommorrow...

on a side note: the last variant i saw in eatons center was a kipper variant in toys toys toys, when they just cracked open a case...the idiot owner slapped a $59.99 price tag on it and said "they are worth this much and more online because of the different coloured jersey's...here look at the difference"...man i wish mcfarlane did a thornton type thing with some figures in that series...i woulda made him look like an idiot...f * c k toys toys toys

The TRU in Belleville is at the Quinte Mall, get off of the 401 at hwy 62 / North Front St.
There is an entrance from North Front into the parking lot just past the Denny's, but before the gas station. If you get into the right hand lane, you are forced to exit into the parking lot.

It would be about a 45 min drive from downtown Kingston... I'd say wait until you are heading back to Toronto, don't go there just for the figures, they would probably already be picked over.

If you do go, stop in at Reid's Dairy, they have really good Loonie Shakes. They are just west of the Quinte Mall on Bell Blvd

I knew the owners of Reid's too, they were members at the same club as my parents and I knew their only daughter since about grade 7.

they had no price tags on them but the girl working there called up some guy and he said to price them at $29.99...id take em at $24.99 but meh...i dont need anymore trade bait...

i was looking at mine too and was wondering about something. wasn't khabibulin's fig supposed to be a repaint of the nabokov? that's what the original photos and the photo on the back of the fig show. the fig itself is the original khabi pose. it sucks cause the painted straps on the pads are there, but the straps aren't molded in. if you look at the nabokov and the khabibulin you'll know what i mean. i don't normally care about that, but i like nabokov's pose better and was looking forward to that.
