well guys this is my last post before 3000. So until I figure out if I'm going to do a give away or not I'm not posting.

I wanted to do something for the party. My idea is bring your worst SP, and the person we vote who has the worst gets the lot! It's cheap and it cleans out some stuff for some of us :eek: It's kinda like at Super Bowl, so Fongzie I know going to bring a Hasek2.

Remember I told you about this boat last weekend for $26,000? I think we coulda came over, but I kinda had to turn it down on the phone cos I was distracted from the little strip-tease that was happening in front of me.. it's HARD to have a conversation when someone tells you that they're sticking a minty PLUS Snowy Brady on the BBQ and there's a Russ Meyer-type chick peeling off her clothes giving me that come-hither look :D

Tomorrow I will try to post some pics, as my connection at home is down 95% of the time.
I want to get a piece of bristol board to have a 'curved wall effect and remove shadows for the pictures.

Also, thanks again for hosting, it was a great time and I was shocked how quick the time passed when we all got chatting.

Steve gave me a custom Joe Sakic in the Team Canada / Winnipeg Falcons jersey with the World Cup of Hockey logo on the base too!!
The thing is AWESOME and I already have a plan on how to get even with him!!
He also gave me a Roy-Habs 12" box, as mine had an accident a few months ago, I need to get back out to his place sometime to drop off the one that I have for him too.

Are you guys available early next week to hook up and do the trades that we need to do?

I got 2 baseballs signed by him and he was a great guy, joking with people and taking lots of pictures, a seriously top guy that I think any team in the majors would want.
So they had a draw for a signed Aaron Hill jersey.... and guess who won :D :D :D !!

He's a really nice guy...I got a bat signed and took a pic with him :) I was there until 11:25 to see if you'd show up cause I brought your figs. They started signing at 10:45 so I was out pretty quick and just ate all the free food as I waited. I have a painting to finish off right now, so I don't think I'll be available until Thursday. This is the toughest painting I've ever done and it has to be in Houston by Friday :(

Paully, contact TC and have him file a claim with Canada Post. That's what I did when Paul (fever9990) Roy repaint I sent him got banged up. He fixed his Roy but I got him $120 for the damage to it.

i received a patrick roy repaint like that 2 years ago and i managed to make it look decent enough to sell again on ebay...i used a vacume cleaner and sucked out all the dents and re-bent the package. if you use a hair dryer you can re-shape the plastic a bit as well...

it just takes about an hour to do:( .

Don't know if you saw my other post, the only live draft available dates in August are all Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM... most likely people won't be available because of work.

Option number #1 is that we could do it on the board, and I'll submit the results. But this could take up alot of time.

Option number #2 would be an autopick draft, we all make a list of players we want from highest priority to lowest priority, like a depth chart (ie. If I'm drafting fifth overall and Priest Holmes is ranked #1 on my list/depth chart then the computer will automatically take him if he is still available)

Let me know any ideas or suggestions. :)

For the Ron thing, honestly no one HAS to do it. It's whatever you want. And if there was no Ron, honestly many of us older boardies would have got much helping in the beginning for the GTA's so in a sense, Ron is one reason why I made this thread so we can start helping each other. Not trying to sound mushy or anything but Ron was one of the first few guys that were actually helping other colletors while others were hoarding.

Makaveli, I know Terry has SGA's for sale but just seeing if anyone here still has an extra that they can contribute or sell without a scalped price. I'm sure one of us still have an extra somewhere as we all went to the game.

I think something Toronto would be cool. I like Chris' idea of that auto'd baseball. I don't think he wants any SP's (trust me when I say he has way more then we do) and the only thing else he collects is Nascar stuff and Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts (which he's caught up with).

If this isn't a hot idea, no big deal.....I'll probably take Ron out for dinner or something. Just seeing if any guys that Ron has helped out want to do a small thing for him. Once again, no big deal...just a small gesture.
