Hope you guys had an awesome Christmas. Any of you guys know how much is for a good price for boxes of 2005-2006 Upper Deck hockey? And where to get them?

Just seeing what's the best deal out there as I don't know much about cards nowadays. All i know is that the Crosby RC sells for about $115 on ebay.

One guy I deal with had them for $4. I can ask him how much for a sealed box if you like! LMK!! I deal pretty much exclusively with him at the show, and off ebay! Great guy! Also, Ronark had a case about a week ago, and was looking to sell some boxes! Think he was asking $80US plus shipping! ;) There are some other Upper Deck products coming out soon that have an auto, plus an auto'd rookie out of 900 per box! With the strong rookie crop in this years product, I may take a wack at a couple boxes! SP Authentic is the one I'm talking about! Usually they are about $130, but may get gouged because of who's in them this year! :mad:

Yeah, was thinking maybe getting a more premium product that usually has auto's on the rookies. Which one is better...SP Authentic or SPX Hockey? And when do they come out? I'd only want sealed boxes...I don't trust folks with single packs.

They are in the electronics department by the cash register with Marty St. Louis on the box! I saw those boxes but it's called Powerplay Hockey. It's in a black box right? I didn't think they were the same as regular UD Hockey. I also looked on the back and mentioned nothing about Young Gun Rookies at 1:4 ratio either.

They have those Powerplay too, but the UD blasters are there now! St. Louis is on the box! 8 packs per box. You should get 2 rookies on average, and if you're lucky a jersey card of some sorts. The difference between retail packs, and hobby besides the price is a little cheaper is there are other goodies in hobby packs such as patch cards, and a few other things that can't be found in retail boxes! Rookies fall at the same rate, and are the same as in the hobby packs! Powerplay, and MVP are just low end Upper Deck products, and generally have nothing in them but the cards, and inserts.

Yah, but you seemed so clueless! :p :D I didn't want to offend you! :p Hard to believe most of those rookies arew selling for $3-$5. :confused: I would hold on to Richards, Ward, Toivonen to see how their career unfolds! The others probably won't amount to much, unless thjey produce big numbers on the ice. I'm gonna hold off on any more of these boxes, and save up for the SP Authentic ones. Once that, and SPX come out I'm willing to bet the UD Crosby will drop in price considerably! I wouldn't pay $130US+ for it. :eek: I have a feeling those boxes will be pricey, because of the demand, though.

Inserts are mostly around $2-$4 with Gretzky, and Lemieux at $8.

Supposedly only these 2 and Pete Mahovolich were the only chases there. No Don Cherry's were found no chases of Orr were found either. Not sure about the Tony Esposito.

I believe regs were $24.99 and chases were "higher" from what I was told. If anyone is downtown can grab me a minty Gretzky chase, i'll be most appreciative. US carded! woot woot

Funniest thing was this guy tore open the box infront of us and as he was pulling them out I was just telling him 'reg, reg, reg' and he was putting them on top of other boxes.
Then after walking around the store we went back and I picked up the Iggy to look at it and realized it was a chase.
Rich mentioned that the guy even looked at the back of the box to check it out.
I honestly thought that all the older figs were in white and the new ones were in red, so my mistake came back to benefit me!

alright, i'm going to pick the seahawks, bears, broncos (hopefully) and the steelers. i don't really believe the steelers will beat the colts, but i have to hope. if any team beats the steelers though, i'd hope for the colts.

i scored a fuhr chase today at RCS!! boy am i stoked!

mind you, it was a blue oilers fuhr!:o sitting right at the front of the endcap with a white kipper and a blue nieuwendyk. i didn't have any of those 3. all had some bubble issues (which were easily massaged out) so i figure they must have been stashed away somewhere. they weren't there on monday. i wasn't even going to look throught them today, but as i went past i noticed the kipper. then i noticed the fuhr right below it with 'dyk next to that. it was a fun grocery trip.:D

hobby stores are pissed that team canada got release at wally first before they got their stuff, Wally release it to early. they weren't suppose to release the tc's at the end of the month. Somebody at wally HQ going to be in trouble.

Actually that's probably wrong Mr Wong:p ....The story explained to me from my source is Walmart payed for the extra freight to get it shipped as the product will be in a flyer this week. Besides do you really think....that a company the size of mcfarlane could give the guys at head quarters of the mamoth company Walmart crap. Walmart would simply retort with.....I guess you don't want us to carry your product anymore.:D :eek: ..... That's big business for you...though:rolleyes:
