Forgot to post this last week. I made my last payment on my truck last week. :D 5 years later and I'm finally done. No more truck payment!
WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think next time, I'll try for 4 or 3 year payments on a vehicle.

why don't you start saving now and pay cash for the next one?
Spawnomite
09-18-2007, 05:08 PM
that would take another 5 years.
Monkey Torture

not quite. if you keep making your car payments into a high yeild account you would be earning interest, instead of paying it.

ah yes. i could do that, but not right now. i need to start fixing up the house. wanna try to sell it in about 2 years.

Moak, not you. Congrats on the car though. I would never commit to a 5 year debt for a car.

lol. if you're talking about me...yeah I was in Army bootcamp for 7 months. but they don't pay for your financed car, if you're wondering :p
I'm going back next week to do my airborne training for another couple of months. and unfortulately, they don't pay off your car either :D

Well tint is 1st, then when it is time for new tires I'll be putting some dope rims on it probably. I am for sure NOT going to make the engine all riced out. ;)

I should have this same feeling fairly soon, been about the same amount of time, very little to go. it'll be nice to have the extra dough, but i was told i should just keep putting those payments into my bank account and save them, that way when my truck has problems, i'll have money to fix it :D

The one thing I remember from that place (at least 3yrs ago) is that the prices remain pretty even....no drastic highs nor lows. I've always been amazed by that since I happen to think that city has the best potential to be the next boom in condos, townhomes, urban sprawl imo. Man, if I could I would love to come back & live there......oh well, not in the cards right now. :( Sure miss the Quarry Market & all the bars I used to go to.

well i did spend $400 for new brakes this past Saturday. they were the original brakes and had 90,000 miles on 'em. The mechanic was impressed that i went so far on those brakes. hopefully these new brakes last me just as long. :D
