HAUL :: Transformers G1 Combiners Knock-offs

Picked these up at Walgreens today! These were made by Mega Toys which is based in Los Angeles, CA. It seems like Mega Toys used the original Generation 1 Transformers moldings for these knockoffs that are almost perfect reproductions to the authentic ones, and they were even done in almost the same color schemes. Although, they were a biatch to construct and a little difficult to assemble together the end result was pretty satisfactory. There seems to be only four sets of these generic combiner Transformers knock-offs. But if you liked the original styled Transformers G1, then you might also like these Transformable MotorBots, you can't go wrong.

Found a picture archive website of the actual Transformers G1 combiners. Well, the only ones that seem to have different color schemes are Bruticus knockoff and Hot Spot knockoff from the Protectobots.

I have seen these so much at my walgreens. I love that they use pics of the real gen 1 figures on the back. THe quality is just terrible.

yeah, i bought them just for the Devastator one...now i can't even give the others away! they sure trick you with the "buy two get one free" sticker...all in devastator is an OK purchased combined...but don't even bother to transform the individual ones!

One thing I've wondered about these knockoffs: Do Hasbro/Takara care about their molds apparently getting yanked?

Yeah these things are a hoot.I got the Superion knock off a few years ago for my little brothers Easter basket and he thought it was awesome.

I saw these all at Walgreens the other day and had to force myself to leave them on the rack at that price.

The Devastator one is easily the best,and would be nice to toss around so you don't screw up your old 80's one.

That is a good deal. I have the Devastator knockoff. I got it from Big Lots last year I think. I wouldn't mind getting the other ones too.

I have Devastator and Superion. Not the greatest quality but if you don't have $100.00 for a complete Constructicon set than it's a nice replacement. I might get another to replace mine and get some lables from Reprolabels.com.

Me too, saw the Devastator knockoff just a few days ago at the local Big Lots, but the one they had was molded in yellow.

Also in the same vein as KO TF's, Big Lots at one time had a mini-Devastator. All 6 Constructicons, totally the same build, transformations, and all that, just in a smaller scale. It was kinda cool, I almost picked one up.

The one KO combiner I REALLY want is the KO Predaking!!
