Custom Mandarin Spawn WIP.........Updated

[M-A-D-D-O-G]

Got futher along with Mandy and added legs and redid his arms. Now he has articulation at the shoulders, hips, head, elbows, knees, waist, and wrists. Sadly he doesn't have any movement at the ankles, but I'll live. I've used two Mandarin Spawns to put this custom together and I've nearly worked out how to do the rest of him. The front skirt (original long one) has been worked out to be removeable and his shield will be able to be worn on his back once I finish the parts for it. The swords are also going to be worn on his back where I am not going to add any detail pieces like on the original. Ornate, detailed and beautiful but also functional is what I'm shooting for. I gave mine up... I'm glad someone's made more progress on theirs. I think once the Apoxie Sculpt I ordered comes in I'm going to work on sculpting my own articulated one. I didn't like the fact that so much of the sculpt would have been lost where I was adding articulation and the structural inegrity of the joints was very poor.

How well do the joints hold up on yours, what're you using to hold them in?

How well do the joints hold up on yours, what're you using to hold them in?

The joints are pretty strong. I've dropped it about five times and nothing has come apart. What I've done to hold the joints in is to hollow out the pieces of the Mandy that will recieve joints on the ends and grind the ML joints down to just "nubs" so they fit inside. If you think about it, it's kind of like when someone loses a limb and has to use an artificitial limb.

Hahahaha, good catch. Fixed now.

Hmmmmm, too skinny. I don't know the body on the orginal is pretty skinny also once you start taking things apart. I think once I get the armor on things will look better.
