I think there is a series of japanese gashapon called Weapons Collection or something similar...that has all sorts of dif. mini weapons . I think I saw it on HLJ.com , other than that...just find a pre-existing figure that has the weaponry you want and use it. ;)

The Japanese trading figure weapons tend to be scaled for 1/6 figures. The early Boford Mononofu sets were 1/10 scale though.

I use plexiglass for making bladed weapons. You can also use styrene sheets. All you need is fine tip marker and a ruler to draw your design on the glass and a dremel with the regular cutting attachments and some varying grits of sandpaper to get started. You can use apoxie sculpt for making hilts/pommels, etc.

True story:
Chuck Norris once made a weapon out of toilet paper. He killed two elephants with it.

unless you're looking to get a character specific weapon (Robocops gun, Blades sword, etc), I would just use a generic weapon from another figure. There is a pack of only guns available from the spawn store, but you shouldn't have trouble finding a figure with the kind of weapon you need

Just make a figure of a pacifist, and skip the weapons. ;)

Well Slave these are the last weapons I've made, Destroyer's Oversword and Planet Hulk's Ax.

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c53/guyver3000/PHD01.jpg

The Oversword is made from one finishing nail, one garbage wire tire, and mostly Greenstuff epoxy. It took me about two months of reseach, it based on Zera's sword which is pretty hard to find a good pic of, and one month of sculpting and painting to complete. Its' pretty big, if I stand it up next to Destroyer, the Oversword would be taller.

Planet Hulk's Axe is made from a short metal bar and Greenstuff epoxy. It took me about six weeks of reseach, pics of the Ax where hard to come by, and about four weeks of sculpting and painting to complete.

Basically, I would say do your reseach and get as many pics of the weapon or weapons you want to create. Draw out the weapon on paper and include as much detail as you want, my rule of thumb is if I draw it, I have to build it, so keep that in mind. Greenstuff works for me, but they're other epoxy componds out there, so do your reseach and shop around this stuff can be expensive. Take your time when sculpting and plan ahead. Think of how heavy you want the weapon to be and how your figure will weird the weapon. Start out with something small and simply, like a small sword or a hand gun. Take your time and work slowly, I can't stress this enough, you don't want to rush when sculpting anything. Once you have more experience with sculpting and using the epoxy you're working with, then you can start build bigger and more complex weapons.

I hope this helps Slave. good luck.:)

hello all,

thanks for all the help everyone. i will do a lot of research today. i like the sculpting idea best because i'm good at that area already, but my main goal is to make these weapon as real as possible . i'm suer home depot got a lot of tool for me to buy >_<

andree, your very gifted. i will take your tip and start drawing as soon as i get off. planing ahead is not a bad idea at all. it make things a lot easier. i did a google on epoxy and found some stuff, but not sure if it's the right product. thanks for shearing your idea.

take care everyone :-)
