Hopefully there will be no undefeated teams this year. A handful of 1 loss teams would be great. Will be all kinds of arguments regarding who should play in the title game. Would only be a plus for those who want a playoff system.

That was an awesome game!!! Florida goes into KY next week and I would expect the same type of game. Hmmm who is #1?

I'm sure the excuses and the rundown of how they will still make it to the championship game are being prepared as we type.

This post should be "Kentucky WINS in triple overtime!" I live a few minutes from the stadium, all I hear are sirens and our one police helicopter!

LSU's gonna take a tumble in the rankings, that's for sure. I don't think it'll be as bad a USC's though.

Now THAT was a great game.
Last night with Hawaii/SJSU and today with LSU/UK.

I am still stunned even though I predicted this. Someone asked me at work this week who LSU had lined up to play. When I said Kentucky, they kind of gave me the "no problem" look. I told them that KY scared me more than Florida did. I just felt this would happen. Hats off to KY, it was a heck of a game.

I dunno, USC should have dropped hard, but you know the voters love them. I imagine that UK will climb like 5 rankings, and LSU will drop 10:rolleyes: . Of course with UK's strength of schedule, they should be ranked like no7 in the BCS that comes out tomorrow.
LSU at least lost to a ranked opponent. That can only help soften the blow.
But, it's not the Biased Championship Series for nothing. Assuming there isn't another choke job by the Trojans, USC will be in the title game.

Even with this loss, they have to be ranked ahead of undefeated Ohio St in terms of the BCS standings, the only team id place above them currently, is Cal.
No chance do they stay ahead of Ohio St... the will fall more than 1 spot.

Cal and OSU will be 1-2. I'd say they fall at LEAST 3-4 spots.

Amen to that. I mean, we've seen:
Michigan lose to a Div 1-AA
USC lose to an unranked team
LSU lose to #17 in the nation
Notre Dame flat out sucking
And South Florida.........where the hell did they come from? LOL

LSU should have passed though, I couldn't get over that decision. All they needed was a TD and an extra point to win. Kentucky was dumb enough to go for the 2 point conversion and fail and that would have turned out to be a horrible call had LSU went on to score. Either way, UK earned that win, congrats.

I think it's NCAA rule that from 3rd OT and on, they HAD to go for 2
EDIT: UKY beat me to it

Wow thanks guys I didn't even know that and neither did my two friends I was watching with. Therefore, I must retract that earlier statement, sorry UK fans. That is an odd rule but I guess it makes sense in the way that we were looking at a never-ending shootout. I do like how the ball for each team is placed on the 30 each drive to negate any possible miracle KR TD's, that rule makes more sense to me, I'm more of an NFL guy anyway.:o

LoL
Its been like this in the SEC for decades. About time the other conferences stepped up their parity.
I do not care what anybody says.....THE SEC is the most powerful division in college football. Bar none... I would put that conference against any other on any day and my odds will beat yours!!
Again another great game in the SEC.

Oregon State is now leading Cal with about 8 minutes to go, who knows, Ohio State could be number one very soon.

well they had time to go for the endzone.. but thats what happens with (rs) freshman quarterbacks..
this hurts.. but it still comes down to beat usc and cal should still be going to the rose bowl.. as long as there isnt any more setbacks..

This is going to be really lame if we have no undefeated teams. Ohio St. is overrated just like last year.

They lost to a really good Kentucky team in triple OT at Kentucky and they should take a tumble in the ratings? At most I'd drop them to 4-5.

absolutely insane game last night. I've been to many UK basketball games and I'm a huge UK basketball fan. Big blue madness was a really good time friday night, but everyone there was more excited for the LSU game on saturday. As a huge UK basketball fan, that out ranked any game at Rupp I had ever been to, and I was there when UK beat Florida when they were #1 in '05. It was just an unreal feeling and it's still hard to believe it happened. I'm still in shock. The cats have to beat Florida to obviously stay undefeated from here on out and they can if they don't let up after a huge victory. It's a great time to be a Wildcat!!!
