I myself have never seen new stuff put out but have seen new series on the pegs lately but long after the series was released. So this morning I have been trying to get my son the Star wars Lego X-Wing Fighter to put away for Xmas and after trying all week long at opening of the days sale add and various other times we still have nothing but excuses.
I told the manager I think it is a ploy to advertise something you will either not have in stock or to only get 1 at a time in stock just to get people to come in to buy other items. I was told last night they had 4 on the truck to come back in the morning and I show up at 9(not knowing they dont open till 10). So we went to breakfast and got back to tru at 10:05 the lot had quite a few cars for an early morning(saturday especially), but I go inside no Lego. So we check the cars section no new cars, but I see some guys running around the corner with some new nba legends and I am like whoa new figures. I knew they were there and cleaned up already because they had an armload of chase:( .
So I look down at the end of the aisle and I see these people lined up at the stock room door an old lady(65-75 in age) was in there with a stocker cracking a case of cars and picking them I was like *** . These other stringy haired old gentlemen were waiting in the wings to swoop like vultures for anything left over so I just walked off. I go back to the legos and I see the stocker from the back room and ask for assistance. well he stopps and says that they may have been on the truck but no one has put them out yet so I asked him to see if it was in the back he says I can see if we have them in stock but will have to wait till they put them out to get them.
I said well thats not what I witnessed as protocol when those people were back there in the stockroom he said he was sorry that I seen that not all employees follow said protocol. I brushed it off and started to leave and he asked me about Sp's I said yeah I have quite a few. I told him they need to stick to a policy of if it is not on the floor it is not for sale(that means everybody!!!!) I was kinda disgusted by the scalping I had witnessed because I had never actually seen it with my own eyes. Only reason I knew it was scalping was the guy said he had 2 andrettis sold already for 22 bucks a piece. These are the people that make it hard on our collecting habits and hard for me to help my son get the toys that he would like to have to play with...........

SORRY ALL JUST HAD TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE!!!!!

And here is our haul (we drove 40 miles away to look at another tru for some stuff since we were free today)

thats the best you have to offer. (theres your period) People around here can be so anal about the simplest things.(theres another period for you) and "Dude" this isnt a surfing affair nor am I in California so save your beach lingo for "The Beach".(heres you another period for good measures.......)

Thank you and come again......

Damn dude learn to use a period.

It would be easier to read if you used more periods. He wasn't taking some big shot at you.

That Playmobil set looks pretty cool. I used to love me some Playmobil when I was a little kid. Even the lego stuff looks awesome and makes me almost wish I was a little kid again. Hell, I was at a Wal Mart like a week ago, and saw all the Star Wars Lego stuff and a bunch of other cool Lego sets, like these big ass castles and things, and was tempted to buy the damn thing for myself LOL. I know once I did, I would wonder what in the hell I was doing, though.

And yes, periods would be great. Even better would be a paragraph break or three.

I just looked at it and noticed it was screwy I had it indented and everything I swear, but on a side note again people are anal about somethings I apologize if my typing has offended and am equally apologetic that people are retentive and anal about such small things in life......

some reason the board doesnt let you indent paragraphs...Weird?

Do the Kleenexs with aloe really work or is it just an expensive gimmick?

yeah me too thats why I had no problem getting it for him I remember how much fun I had playing with them. His mother on the other hand thinks that they are a bit expensive for what the toy itself entails. I told her no more than a 50-100 buck lego we just bought him and he will learn to use his imagination.

So far I will say a gimmick but my nose was already raw from blowing it. Lets see in a day or two if it feels better. On another note walmart has them pretty low priced anyway I think 1.37 a box.

Of course, sometimes as the beneficiary and sometimes as the spectator. It was a bigger deal back with SLU. I remember the employee taking out the Chipper Jones before letting me see the case. I saw it and asked for it but he said it was for the manager. That is only one of many stories.......kinda sad. I wish had more to tell of something more meaningful than buying toys, but such is life :(

Never been a beneficiary but today was the 1st time I seen it with my own eyes. I am sure you have more than just stories of toys to tell my friend

I hope you didnt get that over the counter. All the stuff that actually works you have to ask for at the Pharmacy.

I always thought Playmobil were cheap european toys. I saw those everywhere when I lived in Belgium and thought that they were their version of GI Joe.

Hey thanks for the story, it is sad and sick to see what some people will do to get these things isn't it?
